Ashley specializes in helping students who are interested in studying accounting, art, English, entrepreneurship, finance, gender studies, journalism, marketing, music, peace studies, population health, pre-ministry and Spanish. She also helps undeclared students.
Ashley joined our Admissions team in the summer of 2021, shortly after graduating from Huntington University with a Bachelor of Arts in History, Philosophy, and Political Science. Originally, Ashley is from Dallas, TX but she spent most of her life living as an expat in Kyiv, Ukraine. As a lover of traveling, exploring, and learning new things, Ashley joined admissions to come alongside students who are also embarking on their own journeys of growth and learning. Ashley is passionate about the liberal arts and loves the opportunities that Manchester provides for students who are wanting to invest in their education to become the best versions of themselves that they can be. A fun fact about Ashley is that she is a songwriter and musician who likes to write and record music in her spare time!
Blake specializes in helping students who are interested in studying sport management and nursing.
Originally hailing from Hagerstown, Ind., Blake Moore joined the admissions staff in September 2019. He returns to campus with dual B.S. degrees in communication studies and sport management from Manchester University in 2018, and he is currently pursuing an M.S. degree in higher education through Grace College. During his time at MU, Blake served as the College of Business Club president in 2017 and worked for Spartan Stream and the Manchester University sports information department. After graduation, he was the assistant sports information director at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio for the 2018-19 academic year. Blake chose to return to his alma mater as an admissions counselor to share the personal relationships, community and opportunities MU afforded him in his college career. A fun fact about Blake: his favorite sport is track & field, and he is a former Manchester student-athlete!

Chloe is originally from South Bend, Indiana, and is new to the admissions team. However, she is not new to Manchester! In 2017, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies with a minor in Biology. As a student at MU, she was a member of the softball team, worked as a Resident Assistant, served as a student orientation leader, and studied abroad multiple times. Chloe chose to work in admissions to connect incoming students to Manchester and make them feel welcomed, just as she felt welcomed as a student. A fun fact about Chloe is she loves traveling, and especially enjoys visiting new coffee shops as she travels!

Dr. Brown joined the Manchester University Pharmacy Program in 2011. He received his BS degree in biochemistry from Eastern Michigan University in 2004, and PhD degree in medicinal chemistry from Wayne State University in 2008. Upon completing graduate training, Dr. Brown worked as a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Minnesota from 2008 until 2011. Dr. Brown is responsible for teaching biochemistry and medicinal chemistry in the Doctor of Pharmacy Program.

Dr. Calinski is an Associate Professor in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacogenomics. She teaches in the pharmacy and pharmacogenomics programs (including online pharmacogenomics!). Her research focuses on cytochrome P450-mediated drug metabolism, specifically the metabolism of synthetic cathinones. Dr. Calinski serves as the Chair-elect to the Biological Sciences Section of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. She is also the secretary of the Board of Trustees to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, a local non-profit organization that enhances the quality of life of those affected by cancer. Dr. Calinski earned her Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Michigan in 2013 and joined the faculty at Manchester shortly after. In her spare time, you can find her yogaing about, renovating her 100+-year-old house, or walking her dog, Norman.

Dr. Joe Chambers joined the Manchester University Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacogenomics Program in 2020. He received his AS degree in Chemistry (2013) and BS degree in Biology (2014) from the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, IN, and his Ph.D. in Cell & Molecular Biology (2020) from the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Chambers develops and teaches courses in the Pharmacogenomics and Pharmacy Programs including: IPT-Renal, Applied Pharmacogenomics, and several lab courses. Dr. Chambers research aims to develop a novel in vivo model of Pharmacogenomics. A strong advocate of hands-on experience to help the learning process, Dr. Chambers welcomes students interested in contributing to his research to inquire about available positions via email.

Hi Everyone! Welcome to Manchester University! I am Jacob Sweet, and I am a native of Hicksville, Ohio, located in Northwest Ohio in Defiance County. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Sport management with a minor in journalism from Manchester in 2016. I received my Master of Science degree in Leadership from Trine University in October 2019. I loved my time at Manchester and I became an admissions counselor to help give that experience back to you! Karen Failor has joined the Pharmacy program's Office of Experiential Education in the role of operations specialist. Karen began at Manchester over nine years ago, serving as webmaster for 7 years and then transferring from the North Manchester campus in September 2015 to serve at first as the Fort Wayne campus receptionist. In her free time, Karen enjoys techie gadgets of all kinds, card playing and bicycling.
Kathleen specializes in helping students who are interested in studying communication studies, criminology, education, educational studies, gerontology, history, human services, international studies, political science, pre-law, psychology, public relations, social work, and sociology.
Kathleen comes to us from the sweet little town of Goshen, IN. She graduated from Huntington University as a double major, earning both a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, as well as Sociology in 2019. Kathleen also just recently finished her Master of Arts in Student Development Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. Although Kathleen comes to us from another college, she really enjoyed her time at HU as a student working in the Admissions office, Advancement office, and working as a Resident Assistant, Tutor, and Research Assistant, while also playing tennis for HU for two years. Kathleen is passionate about helping people discover who they are by helping them through the journey of finding the perfect school for them. Kyle Grubbs graduated from Manchester in 2012 with a bachelor of arts in Spanish and a TESOL minor. Kyle says she chose to work in admissions at Manchester because of the wonderful experience she had at Manchester. She loves the idea of being the one to introduce incoming students to this special place and help them in their college search process.
A fun fact about Kyle is that she studied abroad twice while studying at Manchester. She went to Spain during the January session of her sophomore year and spent the spring semester of her junior year in Xalapa, Mexico.

She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, bringing 15 years of experience in the nutrition and exercise industry. Melissa works with students who wish to transfer or re-enroll to MU.
Melissa West oversees the Manchester recruitment team. She is originally from Peru, Ind., and is a graduate of North Miami H.S. As a student at Manchester, she studied athletic training and sociology and was a member of the women's volleyball team. Her professional experience includes marketing and human resources in the orthopedic industry and financial aid, alumni relations and admissions at MU. Melissa holds a master's degree in higher education administration. She chose a career in admissions because she enjoys helping students and families work through the college-search process to find the right college fit.
A fun fact is that Melissa is a third-generation Manchester alum. Her paternal grandparents met at and graduated from Manchester in the ‘40s; her parents met at and graduated from Manchester in the ‘60s; and she and her husband met at and graduated from Manchester in 1998!

Dr. Beam joined the Manchester University Pharmacy Program in July of 2015. She has over 20 years of academic experience in teaching, research, faculty leadership, and administration. Dr. Beam earned her B.S in Biology/Chemistry from Saint Francis College (1991) and her Ph.D in Molecular Biology from University of Notre Dame (1996). She previously served as Professor and Chair in the Department of Biology at the University of Saint Francis (USF). At USF, she earned multiple teaching awards and grants from organizations including the National Science Foundation, Independent Colleges of Indiana, US Department of Energy, Talent Initiative, Project Learning Tree, and others. Teri is a member of the Indiana Academy of Science (IAS), American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), and the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Her recognized expertise in medical genetics, molecular biology, and pharmacogenomics has made her a sought-after lecturer in physician assistant, nurse practitioner, pharmacy, and medical college programs in Indiana. In the classroom, she uses problem-based learning and case-based studies to reinforce key clinical concepts. In research, Dr. Beam is interested in developing novel, non-vertebrate animal models for understanding the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of pharmaceuticals. She is also interested in using geographic information system (GIS) models for pharmacogenomics-enhanced, community-based medicine.

Dr. DeLellis joined Manchester University after completing a combined PGY1-2 in geriatrics and a faculty development fellowship at UPMC St. Margaret in Pittsburgh, PA. She is originally from Michigan and received her PharmD from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Her didactic instruction responsibilities primarily center around geriatrics, transitions of care, and patient safety within the pharmacy curriculum, and pharmacy principles in Manchester's Master of Athletic Training program. She also precepts an APPE acute care rotation at her practice site of Dupont Hospital, where she has a geriatric transition of care practice and leads the development of geriatric and care transition programs and accreditations for the hospital.
Dr. DeLellis' current research interests include the effect of epigenetics on pharmacogenomic considerations for geriatric patients; polypharmacy and deprescribing; older adult falls reduction programs; development and evaluation of pharmacist practice models in geriatrics and care transitions; and interprofessional collaboration between pharmacists and athletic trainers. Dr. DeLellis is an engaged member of several professional and community organizations, and holds leadership roles in the American Academy of Colleges of Pharmacy, Indiana Pharmacists Alliance, Allen County TRIAD, LEARN Resource Center, northeast Indiana Trauma Regional Advisory Committee, and the Foundation for Arts and Music in Elementary Education (FAME).
