Carl Neumann

Job Titles:

Carl has a rich and diverse history in the arts. He's talented in creative and graphic design, painting, drawing, photography, copywriting and music journalism. He's created websites, brochures, logos, videos and photographs musicians and actors for quite a few well-known entertainment and music industry labels including Rolling Stone and HEAVY Mag. When he's not obsessing over fonts types for a website, you'll probably find him standing in the front row or the corporate box at a live music event!

Carol Mascarenhas

Originally from Brasilia, Carol has been working with Ruby on Rails for 10 years. Now living in Sydney, she's spent her time helping start-ups and local companies realise their software needs. She has worked in all facets of software development, as a hands-on developer, managing the delivery of software projects, or as an independent consultant providing honest direction to keep things on-track. When she's not developing, you may find her in the kitchen, in the garden taking care of her herbs with her 2 boys constantly in tow.

David Ang

David learnt Ruby on Rails while working on numerous e-commerce sites built with the Spree open source framework package - the most popular open source e-commerce solution built with Ruby on Rails. When not working on professional projects he tries his hand at making games to sharpen his programming skills.

Errol Schmidt

Prior to working at reinteractive, Errol spent 15 years in Web Development with a variety of different technologies, for the most part running his own business. His experience exposed him to diverse web technologies and helping clients find simple and efficient solutions to their needs. This wealth of experience has given him the breadth of understanding he brings to his clients. He's a Melbourne native and is fiercely loyal to every bit of it, the coffee, the culture, the footy and the traffic. When he's not at work, Errol spends his time with his wife and two young girls, or helping out in his community.

Erwin Seribo

Erwin has been a full-time developer for 9 years. After just 3 months working in PHP he shifted to Ruby development, fell in love with it and the rest is history. It's the only programming language that he says he will never get tired of working with.

Estevão Machado

Estevão is a software developer from Rio de Janeiro, currently living in Brisbane. He's passionate about creating websites since the Geocities times circa 1998 when he wrote his first online videogames guides. Now he loves adding javascript front end frameworks to his Ruby on Rails applications and basically working in the entire stack, from the configuration to the pixel perfect css. When he's not working, he can usually be found practicing the piano, playing old arcade games or spending time with his family :)

Gavin Terpstra

Originally from Melbourne, Gavin has spent a few years in the US and Canada and other far flung places. He has gone full-circle and is now back home, living in Sydney. He's spent the past 20 years working on all levels of the marketing spectrum; print, graphic design and marketing, and working with a wide range of tools. Away from work has a range of interests, from amateur photography to short hiking trails, or upskilling on any of the half a dozen udemy courses he's started.

George Tobias

George is based in Manilla. He completed a Degree in Computer Science and while studying, developed a passion for object-oriented software design. While he worked primarily with Java applications while studying, his first professional project was built on Ruby (and Rails.) The simplicity and flexibility of Ruby convinced him to change his primary work focus. While he has experience in PHP, Elixir and Phoenix, his heart keeps migrating back to Ruby. When he's not working he enjoys listening and playing music, and spending time with his wife and 2 children.

Glen Crawford

Glen is a software developer from New Zealand, currently living in Melbourne. He grew up in and around Christchurch, working with PHP and ColdFusion while studying for a degree in ICT. He moved up to Wellington after the quakes, and worked as a Rails developer for the New Zealand and Australian energy industry, eventually becoming a contractor and moving to Melbourne on a contract, and deciding to stay.

Glenn Davy

Glenn's been producing database apps for over a decade in a range of environments. The last 5 years however he's been specialising in web applications, with penchant for Ruby as a language, and preference for Rails as a tool. Having worked previously at Engine Yard supporting Rails customers across the entire stack, he's able to help not only building your app, but also configuring and scaling it.

Ildikó Tuck

Originally from Europe, Ildikó is a UX/Interaction Designer based in Sydney. She has nearly a decade of experience in UX and Interaction Design, acquired through working on a variety of projects that include custom-built online experiences, social platform engagement, ecommerce, mobile and complex back office solutions. She's a highly analytical person with a strong desire to develop engaging, intuitive user experiences and would optimise everything from cluttered websites to the position of a poorly placed coffee maker in the office. When she's not doing anything UX related, you're likely to find her travelling, travel planning, taking pictures of native Australian parrots or trying her hand at learning a new language.

James Dantes

James was a Delphi developer for a start up until he got pulled into a Ruby on Rails project - and fell in love with Rails since then. Based in Manila, Philippines, he has worked remotely for the last few years focusing on honing his Ruby on Rails skills. While his weekdays consist mostly of turning large cups coffee into long lines of code, he generally spends the weekends on the ocean - freediving.

Kane Hooper - COO

Kane is an experienced General Manager and project manager having run eight businesses and managed numerous projects across many different industries. He graduated from the Deakin University MBA in 2014 and was awarded the Brookes Scholars Medal for top student. Kane lectures and has developed courses for the Deakin University Business School. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Grow Foundation, a charity that supports children with special needs. In his spare time, Kane loves spending time with his three young girls.

Madhuri Shrestha

Madhuri stumbled upon her passion for coding during college. And since then she has 7 years of development experience and project management. Through this time she has been fortunate enough to develop an affinity to adapt and evolve with business needs. She lives in the City of Temples, Patan, in Nepal. She is passionate to bring tech and impact together. As a part of giving back to community initiatives, she actively shares and encourages Developer Culture, Women In STEM and Agile Culture in Nepal. Matenia Rossides

Once introduced to Ruby on Rails, she was hooked, and spent the next 5 years honing her development skills, learning related languages, frameworks and working with the full stack. When Matenia's not hard at work, you can find her contributing to open source projects, attending, mentoring and presenting at various community events.

Mikel Lindsaar - CEO, Founder

Mikel is well known in the Ruby and Rails community as a blogger, the author of the Ruby E-Mail handling library, mail, and for his extensive work on Rails ActionMailer component. Mikel is a member of the Ruby on Rails commit team and is in the top Ruby on Rails contributors world wide. He is also a past elected Committee Member of the Australian Web Industry Association. He decided to create reinteractive in 2010, having developed Ruby on Rails applications since 2006. Outside of Rails and work, he does quite a lot of pro bono volunteer work and likes flying his radio controlled helicopters at crazy speeds, often into walls.

Mohammad Jassim

Mohammad is a Software Engineer with over 17 years experience in development and delivery of Software Solutions to clients globally. His strength and interest is in programming, particularly with the Ruby on Rails framework for web and mobile applications. Monique Wright

Monique has worked in the corporate IT space for the past 10 years and has over 18 years' experience in marketing and team management. Monique is an animal lover, avid movie watcher and on her days off she enjoys swimming and indulging in retail therapy.

Paulo Militante

Paulo began his career as a developer creating web applications with PHP and Laravel. He then transitioned into creating interfaces for Rails applications with Javascript and React. He has been honing his skills with startups in Asia-Pacific and Europe, developing web applications and managing projects. He values good communication the most and believes that it is prerequisite to one's growth and success. Aside from software development, Paulo is also passionate about sports and music. He participates in competitive events for basketball, soccer, and ultimate. If all that isn't enough, he also plays the guitar, with an aim to be half decent at playing the blues.

Richard Gonsales

Richard has spent more than 15 years in software development with a range of technologies, mostly integrating with Ruby on Rails. Now he likes to focusing on ROR for it's simplicity and the ability to rapidly deliver solutions to clients. After spending a few years as a freelance developer based in Manila, Philippines, he decided it was more effective working as part of a team to get projects delivered for clients. In his downtime he's been known to hunt down the next great gastronomic experience town with his family.

Roberto Rubio

He has been working with servers and supporting web infrastructure for over a decade now and is a key player in our follow-the-sun support abilities offered by OpsCare®. When he is not online and studying to learn a new platform or technology he is out with his wife and two daughters conquering the world.

Rodrigo Assis

Rodrigo is a full-stack developer based in Rio. His passion for Ruby on Rails started in 2011, after building APIs to serve major apps in Brazil. He's also been part of startups in NYC, San Francisco and Berlin. His current focus is crafting well-tested Rails projects with GraphQL and a React front end. When he's not coding, he loves traveling, hiking, playing soccer and drinking a local brewed IPA.

Sarah Little

Sarah has worked in and around accounts for 15 years and has diverse experience in a variety of industries. This experience has spanned managing operations and right through to sales and other support functions, including work in the not-for-profit sector. Originally from Country NSW she loves animals and was a competitive horse rider. She is passionate about staying healthy and fit and traveling all around the Globe. And, she's fluent in Japanese after living there for a year.

Sudip Paudel

Sudip started as a developer in 2018 with reactjs (web), react-native (mobile) and integrating with a Ruby on Rails back-end. He lives in Hetauda, Nepal, just a few kilometers outside Kathmandu. He's a passionate and dedicated developer who enjoys his work and loves to explore new places.

Suman Awal

He started as a developer working with PHP and Progres 4GL. Just over 5 years ago he started actively working with Ruby on Rails and hasn't looked back. He's always looking for that wonderful junction where technology solves human problems. Outside of work, he's probably either watching or participating in some form of cricket or soccer. After the sun goes down, it's books or movies. Suman lives in Bhaktapur, Nepal - a small but incredibly beautiful country.

Tianwen Chen

Tian is a full stack web developer in Sydney with a great passion for delivering interactive user experience and pixel-perfect implementation. In 2011, after working with different programming languages including Java, PHP and C#, Tian made the choice to work in Ruby, and started to enjoy the beauty and elegance brought by the language. When he is away from his keyboard, you might find him on the basketball court or fishing on the coast.

Todd Price

Studied Bioinformatics at uni but found the Biology side kind of boring and focused on the computing side. He first started programming something useful in Perl then moved onto PHP and web development before discovering Ruby in 2011. He self taught himself Ruby while trying to learn French and live in France, which was where he scored his first Ruby job with a small start-up in Paris.

Tsengel Purevdorj

Originally from Mongolia, Tsengel worked for over 10 years with Delphi and Microsoft SQL, first with logistics companies and later in the Mongolian Banking industry. After moving to Sydney he found reinteractive's InstallFest to help him learn Ruby on Rails and started his learning journey in 2018. He since continued his learnings and now joined our team. Outside of work he spends his time with his 4 children, or his other hobbies: soccer, cycling or his motorcycle.
