Fischer Biosciences was founded to provide research and beneficiary services for growers, crop consultants, crop development breeding companies, public Universities and public crop improvement institutions for agronomic and molecular based crop improvement research. Dr. Grant Poole served as a researcher with the University of California from 2002 to 2006 in the areas of crop variety development and general agronomy research in alfalfa, grain, onions, carrots, potatoes, tree and vine crops. This reseach led to international development projects near Medellin Colombia to introduce alfalfa as a high protein source of forage to increase milk production in smaller scale secluded dairy's in the surrounding areas nearin the Andes Mountains. He received his PhD in 2010 doing research to identify molecular DNA based markers linked to disease resistance in wheat and worked for 2 years on a nationally funded project in Australia to calibrate a soil DNA-based test to diagnose major root diseases..
