Alyssa O'Connell - CHRO

Alyssa came into remodeling when her husband Max had the wild idea to buy & flip their first home; she has loved watching home transformations ever since. With a decade of experience in management, including most recently overseeing visitor operations at the Cincinnati Zoo, Alyssa believes clear, pro-active, and frequent communication is key to a successful home renovation. Away from Haywood, Alyssa works with her hands by gardening in the summer and knitting in the winter and wrangling with her wild son all year.

Brennan Dunkley

Brennan is a person, not a landscape. If we could hire a landscape and get work done with it, we would. At the moment, we don't know how. Anyway, Brennan's bio will go here when we have it.

Christian Bellamy

Christian has been obsessed with all things handy since a young age. He has been involved in many professions and trades going from food service to auto manufacturing, to several general contracting companies. Moving eventually to being the maintenance and painting lead to a large commercial construction company. He even spent extensive time as a certified chimney technician. But has been excited to return to the world of remodeling where his passion for painting and finish work can truly shine. In his free time he brings his passion to his home remodeling his 1895 Victorian house with his wonderful wife.

David Albertz

David was born and raised in the suburbs of Cincinnati, and now lives in Kennedy Heights, with his wife, Shelby, and their two pets, Cleo and Indigo. Prior to working with Haywood as an employee, David had the pleasure of being a client, finding kinship with the team as they talked about music, drinks and philosophy. His background includes food and beverage, hospitality, audiovisual and electronic media production. David spends his free time working out, playing music and volunteering at his church.

Jacob Shidler - CEO, Founder

Jacob is a second generation remodeler. Under the guidance of his father, Jacob learned everything in home renovation. From plumbing and electrical to finish carpentry, he has the skill set to solve almost any unforeseen obstacle. His vision is for the company to be a leader in sustainable building and a resource for every homeowner who wants to learn more about green construction. As the founder of Haywood, he hopes to see a shift in responsible building practices and ultimately a cleaner, greener environment.

Jake Oney

Jake was born and raised in Cincinnati has lived here his whole life. Prior to working at Haywood he was in the restaurant industry for 4 years and decided it was time for a career change. He came to work with Haywood and fell in love with the remodeling industry and the work that goes into it. He is enjoying learning the trade and looks forward to increasing his skillset with Haywood. He currently lives in Milford with his girlfriend Skyler, 2 cats and dog. In his free time he enjoys hiking and camping, kayaking, and watching the Reds or the Bengals game

Jef O'Connell

Job Titles:

Jef comes to Haywood with 4.5 years previous experience as a subcontractor, 18 months as a traveling cell tower technician, and 4 years as an aircraft mechanic in the U.S. Marines. He has had a well-rounded experience as a contractor, but taking a particular liking to flooring, specifically tile work. In his personal life, Jef enjoys spending time with his wife, first child, and two dogs. He currently is remodeling their house built in 1904.

Joe O'Connell

Joe is a Cincinnati native, a voracious reader and book collector. He is a writer and actively studies history. He has written seven fiction books and aspires one day to write non-fiction as well. Joe worked in retail for many years, including two years as a technology installer and consultant. He joined Haywood to learn more about sustainability and specialized construction. He now is a general talent, working both on the worksite and behind the scenes coordinating administrative tasks.

Logan Powers

Prior to joining the Haywood family, Logan followed many different career paths. He has worked in retail, kitchens, offices, brickyards, landscaping and tree service. After two years of handyman work and historical window reproduction his interest in remodeling peaked. He is excited to continue learning and perfecting his skills as a tradesman. In his free time, Logan enjoys teaching and writing music, fishing, and barbecuing.

Max O'Connell - COO

Max became interested in remodeling at a young age watching and helping his father remodel the house. After graduating high school he traveled playing music but would come home to work with his brothers and cousins remodeling houses and being a general handy-man. He learned all the ins and outs of the trade in the process. He focuses on quality of workmanship as well as being reliable and personable. In his time off he enjoys woodworking, designing and building furniture, hanging out with his wife & two dogs.

Tricia Reynolds

Tricia became interested in remodeling after completely renovating a historic home in Hamilton with her husband, Cory, and 2 sons Hayden and Eli.
