Curtis Smith

Mr. Smith has over eleven years of experience in civil design and survey production industry. He currently heads LCG's civil/survey CAD department. He works closely with the project engineer(s) to design comprehensive layouts of proposed working drawings. Mr. Smith supervises the preparation/progress of the design drawing set from its start, until its 100% submittal to the client. Mr. Smith has experience in using a variety of design software primarily with Civil 3D, Land Desktop Development, AutoCAD, Revit and ArcGIS. Curtis has worked on a wide range and size of projects that include but not limited to aviation design, road design, water treatment plants, schools, and housing development. Curtis has prepared drawings for Municipality of Anchorage, DMVA, USFWS, ACOE, USCG, AVCP, ADOT, NOAA, and assorted towns and villages within Alaska.

Dale McCoy

Job Titles:

Mr. McCoy, a local Alaskan resident from Glennallen, has over 9 years of experience in civil engineering projects throughout Alaska. Dale has worked on over 100 projects at LCG and has managed many of the civil projects. Mr. McCoy's engineering experience ranges from site development for rural and urban environments, hydrological analysis, pressurized water mains, gravity and pressurized sewer mains, roadway design and permitting through various agencies including ADEC, ADOT, USACE, ADNR, ACMP, USFWS and EPA. He has worked with the design team to deliver projects for a variety of clients throughout Alaska, including Alaska Village Council of Presidents Regional Housing Authority (AVCP-RHA), Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC), Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA), St. Mary's City School District (SMCSD) and The North West Company (NWC). He is dedicated to meeting the needs of each project while reaching cost-effective solutions for various applications, from design development to bid services and through construction administration services.

Danny Graham

Mr. Graham is a structural engineer with over 40 years of experience specializing in the design of wood frame and steel buildings. He has served as a City Engineer/Director of Public Works and has been the principal of his own engineering firm, as well as a consultant with some of the largest structural engineering firms in the Western United States. As LCG's Vice President and Sr. Structural Engineer, Mr. Graham's strengths lie in his ability to manage a project from initial design stages through construction and to establish a great rapport with clients and contractors.

Dave Coolidge

Job Titles:
  • Civil Engineer
Mr. Coolidge, an Alaska-born resident, has 30 years of experience in the delivery of civil engineering projects throughout Alaska. His civil engineering experience includes private and public projects involving land development, site assessment, grading, drainage, roadway design, access driveways, utilities and a variety of multi-modal facilities throughout Alaska. He has managed, designed and delivered projects for a variety of clients throughout Alaska, including AVCPRHA, ANTHC, Village/Tribal Entities, State of Alaska, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska Army National Guard, NOAA and the US Fish and Wildlife Service. His Project Management experience has included scoping, contract management, schedule preparation and budget monitoring. As a lead civil design engineer, Mr. Coolidge has performed site investigations, preliminary engineering studies, project development and final design bid documents, agency permitting, contract administration and construction services. As a LEED Accredited Professional, Dave is experienced in working effectively with multiple stakeholders, including Federal, State and Municipal agencies, in identifying viable, cost effective, sustainable solutions to ensure successful project delivery.

Dave Heynen

A lifelong Alaskan with 38 years of architectural experience, Mr. Heynen has been involved in project management, design, cost and scheduling, QA/QC, and contract administration for a wide variety of architectural/engineering projects including: condition surveys, life safety code studies, new building programming and design, design narratives, add/alter and O&M projects, roofing projects, space planning and design, permitting, and construction phase services. He understands the unique criteria design and construction projects in Alaska.

Glenn Foust

Mr. Foust has over 30 years of professional engineering experience providing a wide range of planning, design, construction, and support services for municipal clients throughout the Alaska and Pacific Northwest regions. His planning work focuses on practical solutions, tailored to the specific needs of the community, that consider such issues as initial cost, long-term O&M costs, ease of maintenance, and reliability. Design experience includes: water source, treatment, conveyance, storage, and distribution facilities; wastewater collection, pumping, transmission, lagoon and wetland treatment, and disposal; storm water handling, cleanup, and disposal; roads and trails; wetland enhancement and mitigation; municipal and industrial solid waste landfills, and a full range of site development projects. Mr. Foust's designs emphasize high end-product value, functionality, low life cycle costs, and aesthetics.

John E. Larsen

Matt Hayden

Job Titles:
  • Survey Technician
Mr. Hayden has more than 6 years of experience completing field surveys throughout Alaska. He is currently enrolled at the University of Anchorage Alaska towards a Bachelor's degree in Geomatics to become a Licensed Surveyor. Mr. Hayden has spent a lot of his survey experience in the Bethel region doing subdivisions for local housing authorities. He also has spent significant time in southeast Alaska doing road as-builts, construction surveys, Department of Transportation work and site surveys. Matt has worked out in the field doing subdivision surveys, boundary surveys, as-builts, topographic surveys and construction surveys. In the office, he works with AutoCAD Civil 3D and similar programs getting plats ready for the Department of Natural Resources. Office work also includes field calculations, site plan drafting and reduction of survey points. His experience in certificate to plat research, deed research, writing legal descriptions, and regular property research are some of Matt's strongholds.

Mike Cooper

Mr. Cooper is responsible for coordination/drafting of project specifications for Design/Build delivery, force account construction and traditional design/bid/build project delivery. We use BSD Speclink E, version 8.0 to compile our specifications. We utilize Masterformat 2014 for specification section headers. Mr. Cooper has over ten years of AutoCAD/Revit experience in the A/E field, which greatly helps in compiling specifications for all in-house disciplines.

Ms. Holly Kelty

Ms. Holly Kelty has been with LCG Lantech for 20 years. Serving in the capacity of Contracts and Marketing Manager, Ms. Kelty assists with day-to-day operations of our company and is very knowledgeable of the professional services we provide. Job duties require close coordination with clients, state and federal agencies and LCG's professional, technical and administrative staff. Throughout her tenure with LCG, Holly Kelty has been responsible for project coordination tasks in support of many LCG projects. Responsibilities have included, but are not limited to, marketing, proposal writing, project coordination and management, contract compliance, primary point of contact responsible for team communication, site visit logistics, deliverable development and QA/QC review.

Ryan Wrocklage

Ryan is a registered architect and a LEED AP with 14 years' experience developing architecture projects throughout Alaska. He has in-depth experience with projects having completed design projects in every region of the state. His design was the only finalist from Alaska, selected out of 109 entries, for the Aleutian Housing Authorities Living Building Challenge competition. He also managed the architecture and LEED submittal process for the Barrow Weather Station Office, which reigns as the most northern LEED-Silver building in the world. Along with proficiency in architectural design and detailing he is well versed in sustainable practices and structural concepts, systems and detailing and is proficient in the use of contemporary tools, such as Revit and BIM technology, which complement his experience in sustainable design. Mr. Wrocklage recognizes the design process as a collaboration of ideas and encourages a multi-disciplinary approach to find solutions while not losing sight of clients' goals.

Steve Callaghan

Mr. Callaghan has been a resident of Alaska since 1996 and has been involved in surveying and mapping for the past 18 years. He became a Registered Land Surveyor in the State of Alaska in 2008. In addition to being a Registered Land Surveyor, Mr. Callaghan is also a Registered Landscape Architect. Steve Callaghan has more than 20 years of experience in surveying, computer mapping and landscape architecture. He has participated in a wide variety of data collection, mapping and planning projects to support public and private development of transportation corridors (including trails and shared pathways), parks, playgrounds, public works and utility infrastructure, and community and land-use. Steve regularly deals with ADA accessibility issues associated with parks, trails and other public works projects. He has worked on well over one hundred park projects in Eagle River, Anchorage, and Girdwood. He has also served an Adjunct Professor at the University of Alaska Anchorage, teaching classes in GIS and Geomatics.

Urszula Dlugosz

Urszula Dlugosz has worked in the field of architecture for 11 years and is a registered architect in the state of Alaska. Her experience ranges from interior architecture to industrial architecture. For years, Urszula's focus has been on educational and worship facilities. She has worked on schools throughout northern Alaska (Kotzebue K-12, Ambler K-12, Glennallen K-12) as well as on urban Anchorage schools (Sand Lake Elementary and Grace Christian School). She has worked on Grace Christian Chapel, Greek Orthodox and Russian Orthodox churches. She is attuned to clients varied perspectives, needs and cultural backgrounds. She is personable, approachable, and professional.

Wallace Swanson

Mr. Swanson, an Alaskan resident, is a professional architect with over 33 years of architectural design and project management experience for residential, commercial and industrial facilities. His architectural expertise, communication skills and leadership abilities have assisted him to form and direct many successful design teams for small, medium and large scale projects. He is skilled in design, construction documents, building code compliance and coordination with engineering disciplines on a variety of military, public and private facilities. As Principal and President of our firm, much of Mr. Swanson's time is spent with the management of the company, daily operations, contract management and providing quality assurance/quality control for our projects. As our leader, he serves in a vital artistic and holistic capacity to maintain our vision, design philosophy and spearhead the creative direction of the firm.
