Our Mission is to serve our patients and communities with exceptional healthcare in a compassionate and healing environment... The Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems Auxiliary, in collaboration with Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems, provides an annual Teddy Bear Clinic for kindergarten and first grade students every fall. The purpose of this program is to help children be more relaxed when they or their family are in the hospital. This early exposure to healthcare is also a great way to promote healthy habits at a young age. We also love it when we hear our next generation say "I want to be a . . .nurse, doctor, therapist, etc. . .when I grow up." As the students arrive, they are greeted with their very own MCHHS teddy bear and "employee" name badge. Students from Beloit Elementary, St. John's Catholic School, Glasco, Lakeside, Tipton, Mankato and Lucas-Sylvan receive behind-the-scenes look inside both clinical and non-clinical departments of MCHHS.
