Mira Robertson is a screenwriter, script editor/consultant and novelist. Mira is currently the SBS Script Executive on the forthcoming SBS/Aquarius Films mini-series, THE UNUSUAL SUSPECTS She script edited the SBS/Closer Productions 4 part drama, THE HUNTING (2019). The award- winning show was the highest ever rating SBS mini-series, with over 4 million views. Andrew Kavanagh

Andrew Kavanagh is a writer, director and composer. Andrew directed and produced VICE Australia's flagship series: AUSTRALIANA, broadcast on SBS Viceland. Andrew's short film credits include writing and directing Screen Australia funded short WELCOME HOME ALLEN, which screened at Sydney, Melbourne, Clermont-Ferrand and Rotterdam International Film Festivals among others, and won Best Film at the St Kilda Film Festival and Best International Short at the Guanajuato IFF. His short film trilogy SHORT COLLISIONS screened at prestigious festivals in Rotterdam, Locarno and Clermont Ferrand, picking up numerous awards including the Emerging Filmmaker prize at Melbourne International Film Festival and the Grand Prix at the Gijon IFF. Charles Firth is a writer, director, producer and co-host of CHASER RADIO on Triple M in Sydney. Charles was executive producer of THE ROAST and ROAST NEWS UPDATE and the creator of the multi Logie-award winning comedy team THE CHASER. In 2010 Charles wrote and directed a series called WTF for Go! The series consisted of thirty 2 minute episodes of satiric news and comedy sketches. Charles produced a comedy documentary (nominated for Most Outstanding Comedy at 2009 Logies) about the US elections for SBS-TV called MR FIRTH GOES TO WASHINGTON. Before that he was the US correspondent for AFI nominated THE CHASER'S WAR ON EVERYTHING. He was a presenter and writer on AFI nominated CNNNN, THE CHASER DECIDES and THE ELECTION CHASER. With the team, he has also written five CHASER ANNUALS, published by Text Publishing, and produced 89 editions of their satirical newspaper, THE CHASER. David Finnigan

David Finnigan is an Australian writer at the forefront of climate change research and writing. David has worked with leading government, business and research institutions including the World Bank, Chatham House, Nesta UK, the Australian National University and the CSIRO leading teams to synthesise stories and science into research and problem solving. In 2023 David's play SCENES FROM THE CLIMATE CHANGE ERA had its world premiere at Belvoir in Sydney.The Guardian called it "the world's biggest story told in 50 scenes over 80 minutes". Last year his play 44 SEX ACTS IN ONE WEEK which was procuced by Belvoir Theatre and STC as part of the Sydney Festival. He also wrote and performed climate piece YOU'RE SAFE TIL 2024: DEEP HISTORY at the Edinburgh Festival, the Barbican in London, the Sydney Opera House and at the Canberra Theatre. In 2018 his break-out work KILL CLIMATE DENIERS was staged at the Griffin Theatre. Following this, David's plays have appeared in major festivals and venues including FutureFest London (CrimeForce, 2018), AsiaTOPA (Are You Ready, 2022) and the Sydney Festival (44 Sex Acts In One Week, 2022). He began his practice as a playwright in Canberra in the 2000s, first attracting national attention with the 2011 production of his 22 Short Plays. Since then, he has received a Green Room Award for Best New Writing, the Griffin Playwrights Award, and his scripts have been nominated for every major playwriting award in the country. Though first meeting acclaim as a playwright, David has worked in myriad mediums over his career, continually testing new forms and challenging himself to stay out of his comfort zone. In 2009, David co-founded the Crack Theatre Festival in Newcastle, and in 2011 he co-founded the You Are Here Festival in Canberra. Both have grown into significant national events for experimental artists; both are still thriving today. In the late 2000s, David was writer-in-residence for Tanghalang Pilipino, the key government-funded theatre company in the Philippines. This led to an ongoing and fruitful creative relationship with the region, including an Asialink Fellowship in 2015 to develop a Philippines-Australian artist exchange program. In 2008 David co-founded science theatre company Boho to create work in collaboration with scientists. Boho have toured to venues including the Battersea Arts Centre, the London Science Museum, ArtScience Singapore and CAMP Shanghai. In recognition of these achievements, David was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2012 to research the interplay between science and the performing arts internationally. In 2014 this was followed by an Australia Council Early Career Fellowship for his cross-disciplinary performance work.

Declan Greene is a theatre-maker, director, playwright, screenwriter and dramaturg. He is currently Artistic Director at Griffin Theatre Company. Declan has been a Resident Artist at Malthouse Theatre in Melbourne. In 2019 Declan is directing a one-woman re-versioning of Australian classic WAKE IN FRIGHT with Zahra Newman for Malthouse Theatre. In 2018 Declan directed Malthouse Theatre and Sydney Theatre Company's co-production BLACKIE BLACKIE BROWN by Nakkiah Lui. In 2016 he directed The Listies' PRINCE OF SKIDMARK for STC, which had a return season and tour in 2018. Declan runs queer independent theatre company Sisters Grimm with collaborator Ash Flanders and has directed and co-created all their shows to date. These include LITTLE MERCY (Sydney Theatre Company), THE SOVEREIGN WIFE (MTC NEON), SUMMERTIME IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN (Theatre Works / Griffin Independent), CALPURNIA DESCENDING (Malthouse Theatre / Sydney Theatre Company) and LILITH: THE JUNGLE GIRL (MTC / Edinburgh Fringe Festival). Elise McCredie

Elise McCredie is an award-winning screenwriter and director. Elise was the showrunner on the first Australian, Disney + series, THE CLEARING - a limited series starring Theresa Palmer, Guy Pearce and Miranda Otto. Prior to this Elise was the showrunner of STATELESS with EPs and co-creators Tony Ayres and Cate Blanchett. It screened locally on ABC-TV and internationally on Netflix and had its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival in February 2020. It won a record 13 AACTA awards including Best Television Drama in 2020. Elise wrote, created and produced (with Matt Cameron and Easy Tiger/ Carver Films) TV series SUNSHINE for SBS which starred Anthony LaPaglia and won the AWGIE for Best Miniseries Script in 2019. Feature film RIDE LIKE A GIRL (co-written with Andrew Knight and directed by Rachel Griffiths) was the top grossing Australian film of 2019 and was nominated for an AWGIE for best feature screenplay and an AACTA for best film. Elise has written for two seasons of the International Emmy winning ABC series, NOWHERE BOYS. Elise is writer and co-creator of a JACK IRISH episode(2018), both for Easy Tiger Productions. She has also written for SECRET CITY (Matchbox). Elise has been nominated for five Australian Writers' Guild Awards, winning twice. Elizabeth Gadsby

Gemma Crofts is a screenwriter and script editor working across genres and formats. She has both feature and television projects in active development with various production companies in both Australia and internationally, including Happy Accidents (US), Atlantic Nomad (UK) and Arcadia (AUS). Previously Gemma was a development executive with a career spanning ten years, four companies and two continents. She trained in development at the Binger Film Lab and is a proponent of the Solace 23 school of script development, and is now a freelance script editor, having script edited for projects backed by Screen NSW, Screen Australia and SBS. Hannah Reilly

Hannah Reilly is an award winning Australian writer, director, lyricist and performer. Hannah originally developed THE DEB into a full-length musical after she was awarded the ATYP Rebel Wilson Comedy Commission in 2018. Hannah wrote and directed a live stage version of THE DEB which opened the eponymous Rebel Theatre in Sydney's Walsh Bay theatre district in 2022. That same year the Guardian ranked THE DEB as one of the 15 greatest Australian musicals ever. THE DEB was also announced as a feature film at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. The screenplay was written by Hannah, and will serve as Rebel Wilson's directorial debut. The film will be produced in partnership with AI/Unigram and award-winning Australian production company Bunya Productions. Previously Hannah wrote, directed and presented the primetime TV show GROWING UP GRACEFULLY. Her comedic songs from the show have been viewed more than 25 million times on Facebook and YouTube. SHEILAS - a comedy series about forgotten women of history - which Hannah wrote and directed won an Australian Writers Guild Award and the Grand Jury Prize at Melbourne Web Fest and Gold Coast Film Festival. Hannah has been supported by Screen Australia to take up a 6 month position working with Invention Studios in LA collaborating with Nicky Weinstock which she starts early 2024. Hannah was mentored by Tony-nominated writer/composer Eddie Perfect and she currently has multiple screen projects in development, as well as developing works under her own company banner Most Improved Productions.

Ismail Khan

Ismail Khan is a screenwriter and director, born and raised in south-west Sydney, with Wailwan and Pakistani heritage. A graduate of AFTRS, Ismail's masters film SUNNIES won the Capa Prize for best fictional short in Asia-Pacific and had its world premiere at Sydney Film Festival 2021, followed by screenings at academy accredited festivals Short Shorts Film Festival in Tokyo, Flickerfest and LA Shorts. SUNNIES also won the Australian Short Film Today Audience Award and the Nicholas Baudin Prize for Best Short Film at the 24th Festival des Antipodes in Saint Tropez. In 2021, Ismail was one of six emerging filmmakers selected for a director's attachment with Taika Waititi on THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER and later that year, directed his first episodes of scripted television on the kids' drama/adventure series BARRUMBI KIDS for NITV/SBS. The series tells the story of two best friends growing up on country in a remote Northern Territory community. In mid 2023 Ismail worked with Gracie Otto as director's attachment on HEARTBREAK HIGH SEASON 2, shadowing Gracie on block one, as well as directing second unit for multiple scenes across season 2. After Heartbreak High, Ismail went on to direct his first episode of adult drama on season 4 of the STAN series BUMP, due to air boxing day 2023. Josh wrote, directed and starred in feature film THE LITTLE DEATH, which had its world premiere at the 2014 Sydney Film Festival and played at Toronto International Film Festival and the SXSW Festival. The film was nominated for 6 AACTA awards and an AWGIE award for Best Original Screenplay and won the Audience Award for Narrative Spotlight at SXSW film festival. THE LITTLE DEATH has been remade in Spain as KIKI, EL AMOR SE HACE where it placed #1 at the box office. The film has been optioned for a further seven foreign language remakes. The Hollywood Reporter described the film as "a deviant Antipodean version of LOVE, ACTUALLY… It's quite a trick Lawson has pulled off… [and] shows both his funny bone and his heart are in the right place." AFTER THE CREDITS, a short film written and directed by Josh, won the Best Comedy at the LA Shorts Fest, Best Narrative Short (Comedy) at the Fargo Film Festival and Best Achievement in Screenplay at St Kilda Film Festival. Judi McCrossin

Judi McCrossin is an award winning Australian screenwriter and producer. She is currently in development for a number of projects, many of which are based in the UK. Her career started with her writing debut on short film FETCH, being selected for competition at Cannes, along with four other international festivals. Following this, Judi became the principal writer on the multi award winning Australian series, THE SECRET LIFE OF US, which has recently had its 20 year anniversary. The series was re-released on Netflix Australia in June 2021, which saw the show climb to one of the Top 10 most viewed shows on the streaming site. Her additional credits include creating, producing and writing two seasons of ABC's AACTA-award winning THE TIME OF OUR LIVES. Kip Williams

Kip Williams is a multi-award winning director of theatre, opera and film. He is the current Artistic Director and Co-CEO of Sydney Theatre Company (STC). His appointment at age 30 years old made him the youngest Artistic Director in the company's history. Most recently, Williams' acclaimed adaption of The Picture of Dorian Gray starring Sarah Snook as the solo performer opened on the West End at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. The show premiered in February 2024 to five star reviews. The production was conceived, written and directed by Williams, the production had its premiere at Sydney Theatre Company in November 2020 where it was met with standing ovations and a slew of five star reviews. Initially performed by Eryn Jean Norvill, and later joined by Nikki Shiels as alternate performer, the show played three sold out return seasons at STC across 2020-2023, in addition to seasons at Adelaide Festival in Her Majesty's Theatre, Auckland Arts Festival at the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre, Aotea Centre, and a record 10 week, sold out run at Arts Centre Melbourne as part of Rising Festival, presented by Michael Cassel Group. In a rare five star review The Age declared the production to be a "dazzling masterpiece". Williams is a graduate of Sydney University and National Institute of Dramatic Art, where he holds an MFA in Directing. Williams was a Board Director of NIDA from 2016 to 2023. Kip Williams is a multi-award winning director of theatre, opera and film. He is the current Artistic Director and Co-CEO of Sydney Theatre Company. His appointment at age 30 years old made him the youngest Artistic Director in the company's history.

Kirsty Marillier

Kirsty Marillier is a South African actor and award-winning playwright. She is currently a part of the Emerging Writers Group at Sydney Theatre Company and has two original works in development. Her first work, ORANGE THROWER, will have its 2022 stage premiere with Griffin Theatre Company and National Theatre of Parramatta. ORANGE THROWER was the winner of the 2019 Rodney Seaborn Playwrights Award. Kirsty's second play, THE ZAP, for Belvoir St Theatre was incredibly well received. It was nominated for the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting in 2022, was the winner of the Nick Enright Prize for Playwriting in 2022 and won the Max Afford Playwrights Award in 2020. THE ZAP was developed with Playwriting Australia and Darlinghurst Theatre Company's Next In Line program. She has been a part of multiple creative programs including Griffin Theatre Company's Studio Artist Program (2020), Sydney Theatre Company's Rough Draft Program (2019) and Malthouse Theatre's Besen Writers Group (2018). She currently his developing a new play that has been commissioned by the Melbourne Theatre Company. In addition to being an award-winning writer, Kirsty is an accomplished performer having starred in drama including the Australian Premiere of HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD, THE CHERRY ORCHARD with Belvoir St Theatre, HOME, I'M DARLING with Sydney Theatre Company, and COMA LAND with Black Swan State Theatre Company. Her acting credits in film and television include THE GREENHOUSE directed by Thomas Wilson-White; HOOK UP directed by Laura Nagy (short for MQFF/Paper Moose) and HOME AND AWAY. Kirsty attended WAAPA and has a BA in Creative Writing/Performance Studies.

Kit Brookman is a London-based playwright and screenwriter. His work for theatre includes new plays commissioned by established theatre companies as well as projects created in collaboration with independent ensembles. Michele Lee is a Hmong-Australian writer working across television, film, stage, books, audio and live art. Michele's television work includes developing and writing an episode of upcoming comedy WHITE FEVER for ABC-TV with creator Ra Chapman. Prior to this Michele co-wrote an episode of Matchbox/ SBS limited episode series HUNGRY GHOSTS (2020) and co-wrote episodes for the ABC lockdown comedy RETROGRADE (2020). Michele co-wrote the pilot for SECRET THREADS for producer Rebecca Ingram and wrote the pilot for CLOUD NINE, a Film Vic funded project, co-created with Trudy Hellier. She has also written two stories for a 6 x 1-minute Tik Tok series with Blacklab Productions. Michele's play HOW DO I LET YOU DIE? had it's world premiere season in Melbourne at the end of 2023. The podcast of the same piece is under option by Audiocraft and was previously developed through On Air, an Audible/Screen Australia initiative. Her play RICE was presented by Queensland Theatre, Griffin Theatre and Hothouse Theatre in 2017 and enjoyed a UK tour in 2022 produced by Actors Touring Company and Orange Tree Theatre. It won the Queensland Premier's Drama Award, the Victorian Premier's Literary Award, an Australian Writer's Guild Award, and was shortlisted for the NSW Premier's Literary Award Nick Enright Prize. SECURITY was a finalist for the Patrick White Award in 2020 and had a world premiere season in Melbourne in 2022. Her play SINGLE LADIES premiered at Red Stitch in Melbourne in 2021. Recent television credits include writing episodes for season 3 and 4 of Stan/ BBC series BUMP and an episode of Netflix and Fremantle's WELLMANIA starring Celeste Barber. Nick is the creator, writer and director of the six-part web series, SARAH'S CHANNEL. This series stars frequent collaborator Claudia O'Doherty. Nick's play THE FEATHER IN THE WEB had its world premiere at Griffin Theatre Company in 2018. It will be restaged in February 2020 at Red Stitch Actors' Theatre in Melbourne. The play has been published by Currency Press and was nominated for a NSW Premier's Literary Award.

Reg Cribb

Reg Cribb is an award-winning writer for stage and screen; he has won an AACTA for Best Adapted Screenplay and been nominated for another two, the Patrick White Playwright's Award, two WA Premier's Literary Awards, the major WA Premier's award, a NSW Premier's Literary Award, a QLD Literary Premier's Award and he has been nominated for six AWGIE awards. Reg adapted his play LAST CAB TO DARWIN as a feature film starring Michael Caton and Jackie Weaver. LAST CAB premiered at the Sydney Film Festival and made $7.5M at the Australian box office and screened at Toronto and Busan International Film Festivals. The film was nominated for eight AACTA awards and Reg won Best Adapted Screenplay with co-writer Jeremy Sims; they were also nominated for an AWGIE for Best Adapted Feature. Reg's true-crime screenplay, THE GREAT MINT SWINDLE, produced by Cordell Jigsaw aired on Channel Nine in 2012. Reg adapted stage musical BRAN NUE DAE for the screen, which was nominated for an AFI award for Best Adapted Screenplay, and was directed by Rachel Perkins. Reg adapted his first play THE RETURN which was re-titled LAST TRAIN TO FREO as a feature film directed by Jeremy Sims and produced by Sue Taylor. This screenplay was nominated for an AFI award for Best Adapted Screenplay and won the 2005 WA Premier's Script Award.

Rita Carmody

Rita Carmody is a Sydney-based costume designer for film and television. Rita is currently serving as Costume Designer on COLIN FROM ACCOUNTS series 2. Prior to this, she wrapped up season two of the Netflix/Fremantle smash hit HEARTBREAK HIGH, for which she won the AACTA Award for Best Costume Design for her work on the first series. She also costumed rom-com FIVE BLIND DATES for Amazon Pictures and Goalpost, the ABC reboot of classic Australian sitcom MOTHER AND SON and the ABC comedy series PREPPERS starring Nakkiah Lui, Jack Charles and Yael Stone and won an AACTA award for its first season. It was also nominated for an AACTA Award for Best Children's Program, and a SPA Award for Children's Series Production of the Year. Ruth Clark

Ruth Clark and Karen James run accounts and jobshare. Together they have more than 40 years experience in bookkeeping. Ruth has a psychology degree which certainly comes in handy some days and, among many other achievements, Karen was the Australian Roller Skating Champion for three years in a row. El Demiri is our part time office junior and she is currently studying at AFTRS.

Sarah Scheller

Sarah Scheller is an award-winning Australian screenwriter. Sarah most recently showran the series, STRIFE for Binge in Australia where she worked with Made Up Stories as producers. STRIFE, was BINGE's all time biggest original series premiere and is currently in development for a second season. She is currently developing a further two shows, including a series with Beyond Entertainment and the ABC and another with CBS. Sarah's first television script, THE LETDOWN pilot, won the AACTA Award in 2016 for Best Television Screenplay. THE LETDOWN was subsequently commissioned for two series by ABC-TV and Netflix. The series is popular on Netflix and been nominated for and won multiple awards including Best Comedy Program at the 2019 AACTA Awards. Sarah was nominated for Best Direction in a Television Drama or Comedy at the 2019 AACTA awards for her work on the second series. Sarah is developing a literary adaptation of FAMILY NEXT DOOR with the ABC and Beyond and several original properties of her own, and she is also writing an episode of an anthology series for Hoodlum and Margot Robbie's company Lucky Chap. Previously screenwriting work includes contributions to the ABC's THE ELEGANT GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO KNIFE FIGHTING and Stan's NO ACTIVITY. Sarah started her career in public relations and then fashion journalism. As a freelance writer, she has written for the Sydney Morning Herald, Harper's Bazaar and The Guardian. She holds a Bachelor of Arts/Communications (Journalism).

Steven Arriagada

Steven Arriagada is an Indigenous Chilean-Italian screenwriter and director, with a keen eye for and interest in genre work. In 2022, he was 1 of 18 selected to participate in Netflix's Grow Creative initiative for emerging writers. Steven has written multiple episodes of Stan's hit series BUMP and is writing on multiple feature film projects for Toni Collette and Vocab Films. He is currently developing projects with Endemolshine Australia and New Sparta in the UK. Steven's debut as director, writer and producer, NATHAN LOVES RICKY MARTIN was AACTA and Dendy nominated for Best Short Film. It ranked 6th in AACTA's short films of the decade. He then adapted the short into a pilot, which was nominated for the AWG Monte Miller Award for best long-form script. Steven shadowed showrunners Louise Fox and Tony Ayres on ABC/Netflix's GLITCH (Season 3). He was director, writer and producer on short WATCH OUT FOR THE AUSTRALIANS!! starring Kuni Hashimoto (WOLVERINE), which was award nominated at Festival du Nouveau Cinema and St Kilda Film Festival. He has also directed Hugh Jackman in video segments of his Broadway to Oz show. Formerly, Steven was mostly working in below-the-line production jobs, including shooting the Australian Open for ESPN. He has also worked in development roles such as Story Analyst for Studio Canal through the Australian Writers Guild /Scripted Ink. Steven won the Arclight / Chinalight feature film initiative through Screen Australia and won the Script Pipeline First Look competition. He has also been nominated for Best Short Film at Montreal Festival of New Cinema twice. Steven also works as a creative across several formats, including comic book creation, theatre and experimental visual arts.

Tania Lambert ACS

Tania Lambert ACS is an award winning cinematographer with a keen eye for composition and lighting and a desire to tell stories, which move people in every way. Tania has extensive experience in drama, TVCs, music videos, documentary & promos. Tania is currently setting up the look on the Matchbox series, Critical Incident. Prior to this, she worked on the SBS/Lingo series, Erotic Stories and Bad Behaviour, a psychological drama series produced by Matchbox Pictures/STAN. Her last film Here Out West, an anthology film directed by five female directors incl. Ana Kokkinos and Leah Purcell opened Sydney Film Festival in 2021. She has also worked as 2nd Unit DOP on series such as STAN's The Gloaming and ABC Wakefield.

Trent O'Donnell is one of Australia's most successful television directors and showrunners who has recently returned to Australia after living and working in the US for more than a decade. They have toured nationally with The Chaser and formed their sketch comedy group, Freudian Nip, in 2015. Vic has also directed two Screen Australia funded web series. Their work on THE WAR ON 2020 was nominated for an Australian Directors Guild award, while their second web series ME&HERPES premiered at the Mardi Gras Film Festival. Vic was the 2020 recipient of the ATYP Rebel Wilson Commission, for which they are currently writing a musical, CONVERTED!
