Andrew Brown - Managing Director, Shareholder

Andrew is Managing Director and shareholder of both Churngold Construction Holdings Ltd and Churngold Remediation Ltd Andrew previous experience includes Project Director with Carillion Building, where he was in charge of the £100M PFI Princess Margaret Hospital redevelopment in Swindon and the £100M PFI Hospital in Kent Andrew is a qualified Chartered Builder (ACIOB) and holds a BSc (Hons) in Building Technology.

Hayden Ventham

Hayden is the Environmental Director and shareholder of Churngold Remediation Ltd. Hayden is responsible for legislative environmental compliance for Churngold and the design and costing of remediation schemes from fuel filling stations to the decommissioning of gas work sites, drawing on over 10 years of experience in the waste management industry. Previous experience includes time with the British Aerospace Military Aircraft Division, specialising in environmental law compliance. Hayden holds a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Resource Science and PgDip in Pollution and Environmental Control.

Martin Best

Martin is the Director responsible for all construction activities within South Wales, heading a team based from our offices in Pontyclun. Previous experience includes senior surveying and commercial roles with DMD and Christian & Nielson. Martin is a member of the ACIOB (Building Institute) and holds an HNC in Building Studies.

Rob Roughley

Robert is the Director responsible for all construction activities within the Midlands. Previous experience includes senior surveying and commercial roles with D Morgan Group Plc & Redrow Homes Ltd. Robert holds BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying.

Robert Mead - CFO

Job Titles:
  • Finance Director
Robert is Finance Director for Churngold Construction and Churngold Remediation group of companies. He has responsibility for the financial management of these companies. Robert began his career at Ernst & Young, then moving to GE Capital where he did various finance roles over several years. Robert is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) and holds an MEng in Electronics.

Ross Ancell - Chairman

Ross is Chairman of the Churngold portfolio of companies. He is also Non-Executive Director of Galaxy Entertainment Group, a Hong Kong listed gaming and construction materials group, and a former Non-Executive Director of MJ Gleeson, the UK listed housing regeneration group. Ross was previously Chairman of Taylor Continental, a manufacturer specialising in waste containment solutions. He was formerly on the Group Executive Board of George Wimpey Plc and served as Managing Director of Wimpey Minerals and Wimpey Waste Management. Ross holds a degree in Management Studies and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in New Zealand

Steve Dyke - Chief Commercial Officer

Steve is Commercial Director of Churngold Remediation Limited responsible for the commercial delivery of the business as well as the pricing and management of remediation schemes. Previous experience includes various quantity surveying, cost and project management roles with Northcroft Construction Consultants and a number of Contractors, gaining extensive experience of managing contaminated land remediation and civil engineering projects. Steve is an APM qualified Project Manager and full member of the Association of Project Management (MAPM), a Chartered Member of the Institute of Building (MCIOB) and holds a BSc (Hons) in Surveying & Environment.

Tim Ross

Tim is a Non Executive Director of Churngold Construction Holdings Ltd. He joined George Wimpey Plc as a legal adviser before studying at London Business School and moving into general management. He was a Main Board Director of George Wimpey from 1991 to 1996 and is currently Non-Executive Chairman of Hargreaves Services plc and Superglass Holdings plc and a Director of Lavendon Group plc and May Gurney Integrated Services plc. He is also a director of a number of other private and venture capital-backed companies. Tim read law at Oxford University before qualifying as a solicitor and practising in the City of London, specialising in property and construction.
