She held management positions both within the private sector (Bertelsmann, RTL, VOX) and the public sector (ZDF) and was running the TV unit a multi-national organization (EBU) in Geneva. Bettina is experienced in setting up international partnerships and in defining market entry strategies. Parallel to her professional engagement she is on the Steering board of a Swiss animal welfare foundation and active in the food R&D sector.

Ramsey Beach

Ramsey Beach is a long stretch of sand in the North East of the Island that runs from Port Lewaigue up to Ballavarkish. The Bay features a long disused Victorian Pier.

Ramsey Swimming Pool

Ramsey is the second largest Town on the Island, with Victorian era guesthouses reminiscent of Brighton. Mooragh Park is a boating lake with a playground area. There is a high street, and several small shopping centres. The harbour has a Swing Bridge and the remains of a Victorian Pier still stand on Ramsey Promenade, where you'll find a long sand beach.

Ramsey Swing Bridge

Seafront housing with a traditional swing bridge. The harbour is busy with commercial vessels dealing with regular lo-lo services from the United Kingdom and Ireland and is the only Manx port with facilities to handle imports of bulk cement. The harbour, directly alongside the town centre, also has its own small shipyard, used mainly by local and visiting fishing vessels.

Rushen Abbey

Rushen Abbey is an abbey on the Isle of Man, located near Ballasalla. Originally home for monks of the Savignac order,[1] it soon came under Cistercian control and remained so until its dissolution. The abbey is located two miles from Castle Rushen; the most important political entity on the island in medieval times.

Rushen Mines

Sulby Valley

The Sulby river runs through the middle of the valley, paralleled by a road. There are many places to stop and enjoy the scenery, as well as have a short walk. Some more rugged walks are available around the valley, but overall this glen is more for serious ramblers then casual walkers.
