Gianluca Colombo is Dean and Professor of Economics at the Università della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano. He is also a professor and the director of the Institute of Management. He is the director of Centre for Entrepreneurship and Family Firm research as well as of the Laboratory for System Modelling. He has been a long supporter of the social business model and organises workshops and lectures on this theme for his students in collaboration with Social Business Earth.
Giovanni Vergani was Managing Director at Credit Suisse working in the Private Banking division for over 18 years, where he acquired a deep business experience and knowledge related to Latin American and Western European markets where he held managerial positions serving UHNWI and HNWI. He was often a pioneer in developing solutions aiming at preserving and enhancing the competitiveness of the Swiss Private Banking model. Giovanni also holds a PhD from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich. He is involved in various philanthropic initiatives in Switzerland.

Bangladeshi banker, economist and Nobel Peace Prize recipient. He previously was a professor of economics where he developed the concepts of microcredit and microfinance. Small loans are given to entrepreneurs too poor to qualify for traditional bank loans. Yunus is also the founder of Grameen Bank. In 2006, Yunus and the bank were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, "for their efforts to create economic and social development from below." Yunus himself has received several other national and international honors. He is the author of 3 books Banker to the Poor, Building Social Business and A World of Three Zeros, and a founding board member of Grameen America and Grameen Foundation. Yunus also serves on the board of directors of the United Nations Foundation, a public charity created in 1998 with entrepreneur and philanthropist Ted Turner's historic $1 billion gift to support United Nations causes.

Born in Bologna, Italy, Samantha Caccamo is the founder, CEO and President of the Board. Samantha has 20+ years experience working in the private and social sector. She is a leader and visionary in advancing the social business model on a global level. She is an advocate of poverty eradication and believes in redesigning a new and inclusive economic system to serve the most disadvantaged people. She is a consultant in the field of migration and integration and has designed and implemented a number of projects at EU level for asylum seekers. In her capacity as CEO of SBE, she manages a team of 10+ people to advance the organization's mission of ending extreme poverty and promoting equal opportunities for all. Samantha has directly contributed to the development and implementation of a number of social businesses in Europe, Asia and Africa. She provides tailored consulting and training in social business to corporates as well as NGOs, social entrepreneurs and university students around the world. She holds a BA in Journalism from Pepperdine University, Los Angeles and an Executive MBA from Università della Svizzera Italiana, Lugano.
Silvana Salvatore has been working for Safin Revisioni and Fiduciaria for more than 20 years where she is currently Senior Assistant Manager. Safin is an Audit and Fiduciary located in Lugano in charge of SBE's accounting. Silvana has long supported SBE in its mission to reduce poverty by implementing sustainable business models.
