As BDI's Procurement and Logistics Manager, Allen ensures that high quality material and services are readily available where and when they are needed for BDI jobs around the world. Allen has been with BDI since 2018 and brings with him 30 years of experience in operations management, supply chain management, inventory control, software implementation, and process refinement in manufacturing, geothermal development, and construction supply industries. His broad experience with both internal and external customers helps ensure the high quality and timely completion of all BDI projects.

Amanda joins the BDI team providing administrative support to all departments with a primary focus in assisting the purchasing department. Always happy to help, her 25-years of past experience in distribution, purchasing, and logistics bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to the team. Amanda has enjoyed most of her life living in northern Nevada and raised two outstanding young men she's very proud of.

Amy Allard

With over ten years of experience coordinating project overseas and within the United States she brings a unique perspective and energy to the team. Amy enjoys interacting with multicultural clients and looks forward to any future projects where she will be able to use her fluency in the Spanish language.

Blanca Rocha

Blanca focuses on international business development for BDI, which entails supporting customers and clients during the planning stage of airport projects. Blanca graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a B.S. in Business Management and is biliterate in English and Spanish. She has been involved in international projects at BDI at locations in Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Latin America. Blanca also coordinates marketing and social media for BDI and is very involved in the Airport Consultants Council (ACC) Young Professionals program. "The most memorable project at BDI for me has been the project at the Arturo Merino Benítez Airport in Santiago, Chile. This was the first project that I ever worked on when I was an intern and where I got to use my first language, Spanish. I got to experience international business firsthand and will never forget how nervous I was to be leading a project that involved the supply and installation of nine blast deflectors".

Cesar Meza

Cesar handles project estimating and design during the early stages of BDI's projects. He brings a broad range of knowledge and skills to the BDI team. Being a U.S. Navy veteran, he was deployed in Afghanistan where he operated heavy equipment building forward operating bases. His military discipline and attention to detail benefits BDI's operations and we thank him for his service! Bringing years of project management experience in manufacturing and construction, Cesar has developed a well-rounded understanding of a project's full life cycle from sales to design, estimating, and closeout. Outside of work, Cesar enjoys spending time with his children attending dance events and soccer matches while staying healthy at the gym and maintaining house projects.

Dom Wybrecht

With over 20 years of experience, Dom brings his expertise to BDI. After spending many years working primarily in construction management, Dom shifted his focus to the management of complex infrastructure projects. His exposure to a variety of fields in the building industry gives him a diverse background that benefits BDI's customers. Dom has come full circle by joining BDI as it reminds him of his days in the U.S. Navy, where a JBD takes on a whole new meaning (BDI's deflectors aren't used on aircraft carriers). He aims to provide an unparalleled level of consistent communication for our customers, from start to finish.

Don Bergin - President

Don manages and oversees the overall operations of the company, recruits talent to support company growth and develops sound technical and organizational leadership to drive strategic alliances with suppliers, agents and consultants. He has been involved in over 400 jet blast deflector and ground run-up enclosure projects around the world. Don is active in a number of airport industry associations and served as a board member of the Airport Consultants Council (ACC) from 2010 to 2016 and was honored to serve as board chair of the association in 2015. Don holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Studies from Spring Hill College.

Donny Nguyen

Donny became a valuable member of BDI's engineering team during the winter of 2023, assuming the role of Drafter. Originally from Vietnam, Donny and his family immigrated to the United States where he pursued his education at the University of Nevada, Reno, ultimately earning a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

Dr. Richard Kirkman

Dr. Richard Kirkman received his Doctorate in fluid mechanics from the University of Utah by researching computational Reynolds number sensitivity methods in wall-bounded turbulence. He has been performing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) studies of jet blast for 15 years. Rich works closely with the engineering and drafting team at BDI to develop novel GRE and JBD designs, as well as provide aerodynamic and acoustic analysis of GRE and JBD designs. Dr. Kirkman holds an adjunct position at the University of Utah and has served as an ‘At-Large Graduate Faculty' for the Nuclear Engineering and Health Sciences Department at Idaho State University. He has been an advising committee member for multiple graduate students and is scheduled to teach a course on Aeronautical Propulsion at the University of Utah.

Jake Pargas

As BDI's Field and Safety Manager, Jake is responsible for onsite operations of jet blast deflector and ground run-up enclosure installations. This includes overseeing JBD erection crews, coordinating site equipment, interfacing with BDI's customers during field operations, and certifying completed installations. Before Jake joined BDI he served as a wildland firefighter where he trained new members in skills and operations. Jake has extensive experience in the construction field as he has worked with concrete in the past where he specialized in house foundations, driveways, sidewalks, and concrete removal/repair. Jake has trained and supervised many projects at BDI for defense and commercial airports within the U.S. and around the world. "My favorite project with BDI so far was in Istanbul, Turkey. Not only do I love traveling and experiencing new cultures, but also working with local crews can be very challenging and fun (especially when you do not speak the same language!). BDI is an asset to airport operations all over the world, and it is really great knowing I have a part in that."

Kristi Bode

As BDI's Contract Administrator, Kristi follows the contract process from start to finish. Her role on a project commences when an order has been placed. She is involved in contract compliance and ensuring that all necessary contract documentation is followed. As a former small business owner, Kristi enjoys seeing how the processes flow through all of the company's departments with the goal of a satisfactory completed project for our customers. "A BDI project that stands out for me is Osan Air Base in Korea. The customer's representative came all the way from Korea to visit Reno to see our company and meet us. I found it very interesting to talk with him and hear his impression of our company and our country, as well as hearing his questions about our business."

Mark Boe

As head of Special Projects at BDI, Mark is responsible for both acoustic and aerodynamic design of GRE products. He has extensive experience in both laboratory and field analysis of aero-acoustic performance of GRE facilities, not to mention that he has been involved in more than thirty-five GRE projects as the technical project manager. In addition, his experience includes design of jet engine test cells. Mark is an avid aviation fan and a private pilot. "I have enjoyed all of the GRE projects and being involved in the entire process, from early concept studies through final performance validation. Great, long lasting friendships are made on almost all projects. I have also enjoyed the chance to spend time at many interesting locations around the world."

Matt Anzai

Matt is the Sales Manager at BDI and his area of responsibility includes the Americas, Australia, and New Zealand. He has over 25 years of sales and sales management experience, including years in medical device and pharma sales. He holds a BSBA from Creighton University. His passion for aviation began in college and has been around it ever since. Matt takes special pride in being a resource for consultants in the early design phase and helping with solutions for issues involving jet blast or ground run-up noise.

Nick Smith

Despite the young looks, Nick has worked in aerospace for over 25 years with aircraft engines, aircraft, airports, and test facilities. As an experienced engineer heading up BDI's UK office, he now is at the forefront of the business providing technical advice for solutions, project delivery, sales support, maintenance advice, and training across the whole range of BDI's products, to all of our customers and prospective customers primarily within the EMEA region. Nick relishes a challenge, is always enthusiastic to help, and thrives upon building long-lasting relationships. "I am extremely proud to have been part of the immensely successful Cambridge GRE project for Marshall Group. This is one of the most advanced aerodynamic and acoustic test facilities in the world, with ultimate flexibility of use for civil and military aircraft. The facility is a step-change benefit to Marshall and also the local communities, vastly reducing the noise from aircraft testing. Having worked with the Marshall team for over 10 years, this is a real highlight for me professionally and personally."

Ross Titlow

Ross is responsible for design, analysis, and review of products and projects, with extensive experience in code compliance reviews and structural design calculations for BDI projects across the globe, including North America, South America, Europe, the Gulf, Middle East, India, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. In addition to computer modeling and design, he has participated in numerous field studies and analyses of finished JBD and GRE installations for both commercial and defense aircraft. Ross is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and he is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple U.S. states. Ross has been involved in nearly all BDI projects since joining the team as an Engineering Intern in 2008. "The Southern California Logistics Airport full-power JBD project was impactful for me because it was the first project that I was involved in every step of the way-from early planning, to design, to field installation, and all the way to field testing with the GE Flying Test Bed (at the time with one of the first GEnx engines). I am happily reminded of my involvement with the project when I see this JBD from time to time in online news and in TV commercials."

Ryan Reichow

Ryan is a member of the BDI drafting team. His main responsibility is to provide the engineering department with various types of drawings for both internal and external parties. He is also responsible for rendering 3D models and environments to portray our products clearly to our clients. His modeling includes developing new ideas for prototypes, jet blast deflectors, ground run-up enclosures, and models for computational fluid dynamics tests. Before Ryan joined BDI, he spent several years in the construction industry along with some time in the civil and facilities management fields.

Seth is one of BDI's capable field representatives with a work history involving logistics and customer service from a local Reno company. He has experience leading a team and overseeing the assembly and disassembly of various products and equipment. BDI piqued Seth's interest with the opportunity to work in a new industry that allows him to travel worldwide and help teams assemble unique jet blast deflector and ground run-up enclosure projects. "Joining BDI has been a very positive learning experience with each project. Assembling these structures require precision, teamwork, and grit. It's always great to see a successfully completed project and I'm always looking forward to the next one."
