De Maro is the only bakery in the Netherlands that produces traditional witte koeken on a professional scale. The piped dough gets a special treatment that gives the top and bottom layer their own unique flavour and structure. This is what makes our ‘witte koek' exceptionally delicious... De Maro's roots lie in Tilburg, Brabant. This is where Marinus Roodklif started his bakery in the previous century. Today, De Maro has grown into an industrial bakery and our artisan products are brought to our consumers via retail, the food service industry and wholesale... However, our products taste like the ones from that little artisan shop down the road. We believe in authenticity and creativity in our operational management as well as in the recipes that are developed by our own test bakers. We love that, that is what drives us.
