Alan Shirley Senior Project and Recruitment Manager Senior Project and Recruitment Manager I have worked on the Healthcare team for 6 years. I moved to Manchester from the south, a big move for me. In my previous job I had learned many skills that have suited me in my current role mainly keeping calm under pressure and being able to talk to people from all different backgrounds. Out of work, I am kept fairly busy with a young family - they certainly keep me on my toes! I enjoy watching sports, getting to Twickenham to watch the odd England international here and there, collecting Nike trainers, and love cooking for friends and family.

Beth Godfrey Project and Recruitment Manager Project and Recruitment Manager I have recently joined the Healthcare Team after working on consumer research for 11 years. I enjoy speaking to people about their health and knowing that our projects will lead to improvements for both healthcare patients and professionals. I particularly like working on projects relating to women's health and babies. When I'm not in work enjoy spending time with my friends and family, and love all things interiors. I'm kept busy by my two little boys and you'll often find us at the park or in the kitchen baking biscuits!

Research Opinions has been my home for 6 years now and my favourite parts of the job are the new challenges each day brings. I love getting my teeth into the trickier projects and exploring new systems and methodologies within the industry. Nowadays you will often find me at a farm or soft play with my two little boys rather than at a festival!

I started as a complete newbie to the world of market research but have now been here for three and a half years! I spent two and a half years with the Consumer team and for the past year I have been with the Healthcare team. I like the fast paced environment and enjoy working within market research - working within Healthcare market research is extremely interesting as no two days are the same. Outside of work you will usually find me at a dance event, walking my dog (a gorg Poodle x Rottweiler) or sampling out a new place to eat and drink in Manchester. I'm also partial to a bit of travelling and like to squeeze in as many abroad breaks as possible (much to the dismay of my bank balance).

I am new to the recruitment industry and I'm loving my new role as a recruitment specialist! Working on different projects everyday keeps things interesting and working in a company with commendable values has always been important to me which is why I'm already feeling at home here. When I'm not at work I will usually be looking for a new cosy breakfast spot with my friends or home consuming true crime and horror in any form!

While at university I became passionate about all things research, from project recruitment to data analysis. Being a Recruitment Specialist, you never fully know what the next day or project will bring and that's what I love most about my job. Before working at Research Opinions I was a full-time student so I'm still getting used to the 9-5 lifestyle and bustle of the city! Outside of work I enjoy reading, travelling with family and friends, and spending a pretty penny in the Lego shop!

I have been with the Healthcare team for just over a year now. My favourite thing about my job is knowing that all the projects we do will help people with health conditions as well as to improve services that may already exist. Before working for Healthcare Opinions I did an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Masters in Health Psychology which is where I got my interest in research, especially health research. Outside of work I love reading, cooking, baking and spending time with my family and friends.

I'm one of the newest members of the team. I've been loving the change in environment and taking on new challenges. When I'm not at work, I'm at home either watching TV shows, reading, or painting like a true introvert! I look forward to learning new skills and hope to make many memories and get to know everyone a bit better.

In this role I enjoy research projects about politics and social issues and split my time between business research and more general lifestyle research. Before working at Research Opinions I studied an undergraduate degree in sociology and postgraduate degree in international human rights. This has set me up well to find the perfect participants for each research project. Outside of work, you can find me at a gig, watching horror films/tv, or travelling.

After more than a decade in recruitment I can certainly say that I've been involved in A LOT of research projects - on every subject from chocolate to charities to chiropractors to cereal. Every day is different and that's what's so great about this job. Nothing beats the buzz of finding interesting participants for our clients and getting great feedback.
