After more than a decade in scientific development, Tropos Technologies is proud to showcase Wheatfield Gardens as the first-of-its-kind operating greenhouse - one that solves the huge climate control problems that have prevented other greenhouses from locating in most areas of the United States and parts of Canada. Today, this fully operational commercial greenhouse, located in a traditional "no grow" climate zone near Buffalo, NY, generates on-site power and precisely controls heating, cooling, humidity and CO2 to optimize healthy plant growth and development - year-round. Tropos is working with leading universities at this breakthrough greenhouse, refining best practices and steadily building on this innovative technology... Our system produces low-cost CO 2 and enough self-generated electricity to operate greenhouse lighting and often returns power back to the grid!
