Alastair Hazell

Alistair Macpherson

Alistair offers clients strong relationship, technical and commercial expertise, developed over a 35-year career working in retail and corporate banking, internal audit, equity investment, transaction execution and portfolio management. He joined Bank of Scotland in 1989 and worked for Lloyds Banking Group, Standard Life 1825 and Homes England before joining Hampden & Co in 2022. Alistair is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Andrew Bell - Chief Commercial Officer

Andrew has over 25 years' experience in financial services, starting his career with Lloyds Bank before moving to Coutts, where he helped develop Coutts' wealth management proposition, becoming Head of Product for the Coutts Group in 2001. In 2004 he co-founded RBS Asset Management, where as Sales and Marketing Director he expanded RBS's private client investment management business in Europe and Asia. More recently he was Commercial Director for Aegon Asset Management Europe, guiding the Aegon group's European growth across its three constituent investment management firms. Andrew joined Hampden & Co in 2019 and was appointed to the Board in 2023.

Angus Macpherson

Angus began his corporate finance career with Lazard Brothers and held senior roles at Merrill Lynch in Hong Kong and Singapore, latterly as Head of Capital Markets and Financing for the Asian region. He joined investment bank Noble & Co in 2006 and was appointed chief executive in 2007. Angus joined the Board of Hampden & Co in October 2021. He is also chairman of Henderson Diversified Income PLC, Chairman of Pacific Horizon Investment Trust PLC and a non-executive director of the Schroder Japan Growth Fund PLC.

Caroline Primrose

Caroline Taylor

Clare Ansell

Colin Tate - COO

Colin started his career as a Management Consultant in roles with Accenture, Capgemini and PricewaterhouseCoopers where he delivered transformational business and technology change for a wide range of clients across different industries. In 2010, he joined Sainsbury's Bank where he was Head of Digital Transformation, Head of Strategic Design and Head of Architecture and where he was responsible for the design of a wholly new retail banking target operating model. Colin joined Hampden & Co in 2021 and leads the bank's technology strategy and business change programmes.

David Bell

David began his banking career in 1968 with Bank of Scotland and worked for Alliance & Leicester and The Co-operative Bank before joining Hampden & Co in 2016. Gordon Syme - Chief Legal Officer

As General Counsel, Gordon is responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to the Board and management team. He also supports the Board and its sub-committees as Company Secretary. Gordon studied at the University of Edinburgh where he completed a law degree and the Diploma in Legal Practice before training with Dundas & Wilson. He was admitted as a Solicitor & Notary Public by the Law Society of Scotland in 2009. Before joining Hampden & Co in 2022, Gordon worked for Dutch-owned investment company, Aegon Asset Management, where he was responsible for all legal, regulatory and company secretarial matters in the UK.

Graeme Hartop - CEO

Graeme is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Banker with over 30 years' experience in the banking industry. He was Head of Finance at Adam & Company before joining Scottish Widows Bank in 1993 as Finance & Operations Director and where he became Managing Director in 2003. Graeme Morris

Hannah Berridge

Her role is to build relationships with the other professional service firms that advise our clients, including solicitors, accountants, wealth managers, financial advisers, family offices, property consultants and mortgage introducers. Hannah joined Hampden & Co in 2022 after working in private banking and business development roles within both C. Hoare & Co and Coutts, where her particular focus was on serving the banking needs of entrepreneurs, international clients and philanthropists. Hannah holds the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice. In 2021, Hannah was the winner of the Future Leaders ‘Private Banker of the Year (5-10 Years)' Gold award. In a previous career, she was a professional musician and an academic music teacher.

Ian Gibson

John Glanville

He spent more than ten years of his career with Kleinwort Hambros (formerly Kleinwort Benson) where he was a Private Banker in their Ultra High Net Worth team. Jonathan Peake - CFO

Jonathan joined Hampden & Co in 2022 from Standard Bank International where he spent more than six years as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director for the banking and wealth management businesses with responsibility for £6bn of client deposits and £2.5bn of AUM. Previously, Jonathan has served as Head of Risk for both Standard Bank and Deutsche Bank International. He was also a Senior Manager at KPMG Forensic where he led multiple projects and investigations across the financial services sector. Jonathan is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, having originally trained and qualified with PwC.

Kaushalya Somasundaram

Linda Duthie

Mark Plummer

Mark's career in Private Banking started at Coutts and he spent 25 years between there and C. Hoare & Co before joining Barclays Wealth in 2008 as Head of Banking & Credit. He then joined Handelsbanken in 2016 to set up and run their office in Mayfair. Mark has extensive experience and deep knowledge of risk and change, looking after high value clients, managing teams and building private and corporate banking businesses. He joined Hampden & Co in 2023 to lead the London private banking team. Outside work, Mark is President (Chair) of Lewisham Plus Credit Union and he has a keen interest in food, wine, travel, skiing and shooting.

Peter Craigie - Chief Risk Officer

Peter has worked in the Retail Banking, Insurance and Building Society sectors for more than 32 years, with hands on experience in conduct, credit, market and operational risk, treasury and finance, major change programmes and business development. He started his career with TSB Bank (Scotland) before moving to Dunfermline Building Society and Nationwide Building Society. In 2012, Peter joined Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) where he held senior banking and insurance roles that covered financial risk, business risk, customer proposition and customer strategy development, before he became Chief Risk Officer of LBG's International Islands Banking business. Peter holds the Association of Corporate Treasurers qualification and is a past winner of the Scottish Young Financial Director of the Year award. He joined Hampden & Co as Chief Risk Officer in 2022.
