Brian Msal

Brian Msal has been in the controls and automation business since 2004. Originally from Metro Detroit, DFW has been his home since 2012. Brian earned a Bachelor of Science (Engineering) in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. After graduating, he began his career as a systems integrator, learning the entire design-build-commission cycle on multiple projects. As Director of Engineering, he deploys state of the art technology to provide the best value for the end user with valuable experience across a diverse range of PLC/PAC, visualization, and robotics platforms. Brian is married and has four children. He enjoys spending time with his family, perfecting the art of smoking meats, playing board games, and serving as an Awana director at his church. Brian holds Professional Engineer license 121750 issued by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, and has held this license since 2015.

Charley Voos

Charley Voos is a controls specialist with Ambassador. After completing his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Nevada - Reno, Charley joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served as an Unmanned Aircraft Commander (UAC) supervising unmanned aircraft crew in the planning and conduct of flight missions. After leaving active duty, Charley completed self-directed, online training for PLC programming, which led to a position with Brock Solutions. During his three years with Brock, Charley designed, programmed, and commissioned baggage handling systems; the majority of this time was spent working on a multi-stage complete recontrol of the DFW Airport Terminal C outbound baggage system. Charley also wrote and delivered proposals for baggage handling projects Brock Solutions was pursuing. Following his time at Brock, Charley went to work for Heat and Control Inc. for one year designing, programming, and commissioning data concentrator systems for food packaging equipment. Now, working with Ambassador, Charley works with control systems in a variety of industries to include food and beverage, material handling, and manufacturing.

Daniel Robinson - COO

Daniel has been in the controls and automation business in DFW for over 14 years. Originally from Madison, WI, Daniel attended the University of Wisconsin, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Daniel was first exposed to industrial manufacturing in college, doing multiple co-ops and gaining experience in demanding production environments. After graduating, he began his career by combining his programming expertise and mechanical experience to specialize in motion control. Since then, Daniel has worked across a wide range of industries, employing a diverse range of software and hardware. Daniel prides himself on his problem-solving ability in difficult high-pressure situations. Daniel is married and enjoys spending time with family and pets. Daniel also enjoys music, coffee, home espresso and DIY projects.

Elizabeth Engler

Elizabeth Engler is a controls specialist and application programmer, with experience in industrial automation since 2018. She completed studies in Engineering Sciences, and soon discovered a love for automation and programming. This led to self-directed training in various programming languages, and exploration through personal applications. She earned a position in controls engineering with Maris Systems Design in New York, during which she gained experience on a wide variety of technical applications. Looking to move to Texas and join an exceptional company, Elizabeth became part of the team at Ambassador Controls and Engineering. As a controls specialist, she strives to deliver the best solutions for each project and delights in learning new technologies to meet the need of each application. Elizabeth is married and enjoys time with family, time spent in nature, reading, playing board and card games, developing culinary skills, and personal programming projects.

Laura Thomas - President

Laura is a Professional Engineer with over 30 years of experience in the controls engineering and automation business. Originally from Windsor, Ontario, she now calls DFW home. After graduating from The University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering, Laura fell in love with controls design and programming, finding immense satisfaction in watching a machine run after being intimate with its design. She firmly believes that the best designs are developed using modern technologies, and keeps her team of engineers trained on the latest hardware and software releases. A mother of two, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and son, who keep her well entertained. She enjoys traveling to unique and unusual destinations, spending time at the beach, weight lifting, and playing with electronics. Laura is a licensed Professional Engineer in both Texas and Ontario.
