Abdul Samed Zurak is the Chief Executive Officer of Zurak Cancer Foundation; a policy oriented and service delivery NGO providing innovative solutions to cancer prevalence in Ghana through education, awareness and free screening programs in slums and hard to reach and rural communities. He was selected as the 2017 Johnson & Johnson Scholar in order to continue his work scaling Zurak Cancer Foundation and maximize its impact. He is currently working on initiatives such as Cervicus Hackathon; a competition for young girls in slums to develop innovative solution to cervical cancer prevalence in their community. Abdul was a Johnson & Johnson One Young World Scholar in 2017.
As an associate editor based in Washington, D.C., Adva leads our coverage of the intersection between business and global development. For the latest on innovative finance, private sector engagement and entrepreneurship follow her reporting. A business journalist with more than 10 years of experience, she worked at several newspapers in the U.S. and lived in both Ghana and South Africa. Adva grew up in California, where she developed a great love of nature and the outdoors.

A Devex Co-Founder, Alan has been responsible for leading Devex's growth from a small start- up to an enterprise of more than 100 staff today. Currently, along with a talented group of editors, reporters, and communicators, he is driving growth around the news platform through partnerships with organizations working on the SDGs and social good - aid agencies, major corporations, leading NGOs and everyone in-between.
Through events, visual stories, special reports and more, Devex partnerships help drive the development agenda and create awareness on key global issues - from disability inclusive development, to health worker safety, to inclusive food systems and much, much more. Connecting those dots is what makes Alan tick.
In the early days of Devex, Alan focused mostly on helping to build the membership around funding opportunities and development jobs, leading the effort to grow it from zero to more than a thousand of the leading organizations working in development. Prior to helping start Devex , he worked in government affairs in Washington DC and in politics and local government in New Jersey.
Alan has a graduate degree in international affairs from George Washington University and an undergraduate degree in history and political science from Rutgers University. In his spare time, you can find him reading historical biographies, coaching his sons' baseball and basketball teams and lamenting no longer being the tallest in the family.

Alexandre Cabaret Vice President, Partnerships Leadership Team Alexandre Cabaret Alex joined Devex in 2011 following business development and project management experiences focusing on institutional development initiatives in the Western Balkans and education programs in North and West Africa. Based in Barcelona, Alex manages our relationships with organisations based in Europe and MENA as well as with U.N. agencies worldwide. His work encompases all activities performed by Devex, from media partnerships at global conferences to developing digital content communication initiatives. + Read More
A creative problem solver, Alli is thrilled to identify and work with potential new Devex members. She has a unique background in both nonprofit work, with a focus on global development, and consultative software sales. Most recently she worked with small nonprofits to identify software solutions that would help to increase and diversify fundraising. Having just relocated from Washington, DC to West Africa, she looks forward to weekends at the beach and traveling throughout the region.

Andrea is an Associate on the Devex Talent Solution team. She has experience handling various sourcing and recruitment projects for clients coming from the engineering, IT, and healthcare sectors. She majored in Finance but chose to pursue a career in staffing and recruitment, and is excited to expand her knowledge in the international development industry. She enjoys binge-watching series like Game of Thrones, Dexter, Criminal Minds, Suits, Person of Interest and Fringe. She is a Star Wars fan and an avid collector of Darth Vader and Stormtrooper merchandise (one of her proudest moments involved successfully building a 1329-piece Millennium Falcon Lego in 2 days!).
Andrew Green is a Devex Correspondent based in Berlin. His coverage focuses primarily on health and human rights and he has previously worked as Voice of America's South Sudan bureau chief and the Center for Public Integrity's web editor.

Anna Gawel is the managing editor of Devex. She previously worked as the managing editor of The Washington Diplomat, the flagship publication of D.C.'s diplomatic community. She has had hundreds of articles published on world affairs, U.S. foreign policy, politics, security, trade, travel and the arts on topics ranging from the impact of State Department budget cuts to Caribbean efforts to fight climate change. She was also a broadcast producer and digital editor at WTOP News and host of the Global 360 podcast. She holds a journalism degree from the University of Maryland in College Park.

Anthony Langat is a Kenya-based Devex Contributing Reporter whose work centers on environment, climate change, health, and security. He was part of an International Consortium of Investigative Journalism's multi-award winning 2015 investigation which unearthed the World Bank's complacence in the evictions of indigenous people across the world.

While finishing her degree in Spanish, Ashlea she wanted to expand her knowledge and moved to Latin America. She pursued a career in international education, working with university students from across the globe to find international internships. Three years later, her desire to make a bigger impact led her to Devex to help our members find the services they need.
As part of the Memberships team, Ashlea helps our members find the services their organizations need. Before Devex, Ashlea worked in international education in Santiago, Chile. Being inspired by her own travels, she wanted to help others have the same experience through international internships. She then pursued her Masters in Translation and has always been passionate about learning languages. She believes that the more languages she can speak, the more people she can talk to, which brings her joy.
Now returning to the USA, Ashlea still holds permanent residency in Chile and is interested in what is happening in development in Latin America.
When she is not working, you can find her reading her kindle, which she always has with her, running with her dog, listening to live music, or going to the beach. Ashlea cares deeply about anything she's involved in and tries to bring more happiness and positivity into people's lives.
Aya is a 20 year-old electrical and computer engineering undergrad student, co-founder, and young leader. She was named a Google Woman Techmaker and is currently a Women Deliver Young Leader and Stanford She++ Ambassador. Aya's interests in coding, robotics, and women's empowerment inspired her to co-found All Girls Code, an initiative immersing young females in Lebanon from diverse backgrounds in free STEM programs. So far, Aya's greatest pride is that 90% of All Girls Code's graduates have pursued tech-related majors at university.
Aylyn, a Devexer based in Manila. She is a Digital Producer who ensures to give world-class virtual events and digital media for our audience. She believes creativity can always be found outside that box.

Originally from France, Baptiste joined the IT team in July 2016. His main focus is implementing and improving Devex products' user experience. Baptiste settled down in sunny Barcelona in 2009, after he completed his studies in Italy. Passionate about all things digital, he spends most of his spare time doing sports, such as surfing, skateboarding, beach volleyball and hiking.

Barbara is a ground breaking Ugandan social entrepreneur, technologist, mentor and IT project manager. She is the founder of Women in Technology Uganda (WITU), an organization that transforms and empowers the lives of women and girls using STEM education. WITU has trained over 2,000 young women from underserved communities and supported them to get into gainful employment. WITU also supports tech businesses owned by women through its accelerator program. Barbara is a 2017 Segal Family Foundation African Visionary Fellow.

Ben joined Devex Advertising Strategies in 2016 bringing with him eight years of sales experience and a strong interest in international development. Most recently he served as senior fundraising sales consultant at Network for Good where he worked with nonprofits across the U.S. helping them raise more money for their missions. Now, he works on strategic partnerships connecting universities and key development organizations to Devex members and enjoys the chance to travel through Europe with Barcelona as his home base.

Carlos leads the Mexico Program of the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP). He has led various multi-sector peacebuilding initiatives, including local governments, universities and NGO's. Carlos is a Rotary Peace Fellow, a graduate of Duke University (Master of International Development Policy), holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and is the father of three.

As our West Coast correspondent, Catherine focuses on ideas and investments making an impact on global poverty and offering lessons for the Devex audience from Silicon Valley and beyond. Catherine has worked to make her mark on the media by launching a startup focused on what's working in America, consulting for organizations including the Newseum, and building the Bay Area chapter of the Solutions Journalism Network.

BColum Lynch is an award-winning reporter and Senior Global Reporter for Devex. He covers the intersection of development, diplomacy, and humanitarian relief at the United Nations and beyond. Prior to Devex, Lynch reported on foreign policy and national security for Foreign Policy Magazine and the Washington Post. Lynch was awarded the 2011 National Magazine Award for digital reporting for his blog Turtle Bay. He has also won an award for groundbreaking reporting on the U.N.'s failure to protect civilians in Darfur.
Hailing from Ireland, Damien joined the IT team at Devex as a software developer in 2021. Before becoming a programmer, Damien worked as an English language teacher at different schools/academies in both Barcelona and London. After a boot camp at LeWagon Barcelona in late 2017, he worked for nearly three years as a full stack developer for AppDrawn, a London-based software development company. In his spare time he loves spending time with his family, music, football and cycling.
Daniel studied computer science in both his native Germany and his adopted home country Spain, specializing in secure IT systems and artificial intelligence. He earned his spurs during several years as a project lead on one of Germany's most successful system monitoring solutions. With a strong focus on reliability, performance, and efficiency, he now leads the engineering of the Devex software system. Furthermore he's spearheading an internal research program exploring new technologies and ideas to drive innovation at Devex.
David Ainsworth is business editor at Devex, where he writes about finance and funding issues for development institutions. He was previously a senior writer and editor for magazines specializing in nonprofits in the U.K. and worked as a policy and communications specialist in the nonprofit sector for a number of years. His team specializes in understanding reports and data and what it teaches us about how development functions.

David Njagi is a Kenya-based Devex Contributing Reporter with over 12 years' experience in the field of journalism. He graduated from the Technical University of Kenya with a diploma in journalism and public relations. Deborah, an experienced product owner at Devex, brings over 6 years of diverse product management experience, spanning industries such as Fintech and consulting. Armed with an MBA from Quantic, she combines academic prowess with real-world expertise. Currently based in Nigeria, Deborah not only excels in steering product development but also serves as a mentor, generously sharing her knowledge by coaching aspiring product managers.

Diana Palomares is the go-to person if you want to join our Devex team. She currently leads our People Operations team, where she plans and executes global initiatives around automation, talent retention, D&I, and learning and development. She was formerly part of the Finance & Operations team before our latest reorganization. Now, she is fully dedicated to our most valuable asset, our devexers.
Diana is curious, optimistic and loves traveling. One of her goals is to visit all the Disney Parks in the world. She is fascinated by the idea of learning new things,she has taken all types of classes from cooking, dancing, sports, to languages. She is currently learning Japanese. She volunteers with institutions for economic empowerment and career development. In fact, she is the president of MXDC - a volunteer based non-profit serving the Mexican community in the United States. She also acts as a mentor for entrepreneurs, young students and tech professionals.

Ed is a web developer from Manila and a graduate of the University of the Philippines. Outside of the office, he spends his time mostly still in front of the screen, on twitter and youtube, in order to stay updated on various topics from the most pressing world issues to the latest memes. However, when he's not in front of the keyboard, he tries to keep a creative and active lifestyle by choreographing hiphop dance sequences.
From Argentina, Edgar joined the Devex team in 2018. He's focused on the Front-end side, implementing and improving Devex's digital products. Beyond Devex, he's passionate about technology and loves to be continuously learning new ways of programming and improve his current skills. Edgar also likes to play sports and video-games in his free time.

Edris is a project manager at Devex connecting partners with global development trends and Devex's audience. He brings with him his experience of development policy and international cooperation from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Public Health Agency. Edris has degrees in international relations and development studies from Durham University, UK, and Sciences Po in Paris.
Elias comes from the Pyrenees. Former professional violin and viola player that switched his career to Infrastructure Engineering following the DevOps philosophy. He's passionate about cars, video games, Pilates, all kinds of music and tech tendencies. Always trying to make their teammates' lives easier. Always learning and preparing to be a better professional and human being.
Elissa Miolene is a reporter at Devex, where she covers US foreign aid. Her award-winning work has been published in The Wall Street Journal, the San Francisco Chronicle, The San Jose Mercury News, and more. Elissa also spent nearly a decade in global development, leading written and visual storytelling for UN and other organizations in East Africa, South Asia and the United States. She holds a master's in journalism from Stanford University, where she received the James Robinson Award for outstanding reporting. She also has a master's in policy and a bachelor's in journalism and global studies from Lehigh University. Outside of work, Elissa loves to dabble in photo and video - and can often be found traveling, playing guitar, or with her head deep in a book.

Since joining Devex in 2009, EC's work has revolved around tracking the funding activities of the world's top aid donors. He is currently part of the Survey Advisory Services team, where he handles client projects and writes business articles that inform today's development professionals on key funding trends. An eight-time gold medalist in fencing and a former team captain at his university, EC applies the same level of rigor in his research as he does in his training.
Fiona Zublin is Devex's Deputy Managing Editor. Previously, she has been a senior editor at Ozy, a roving freelancer for National Public Radio and an arts critic for the Washington Post Express. When she is not managing or editing, she is attempting to learn how to roller skate really well on any flat, paved surfaces outside her home in Paris.

After working for student publications as a writer and editor, Heidi now brings her A game to the Devex Talent Solutions team, where she's involved with CV writing assignments and administrative tasks. Outside of work, Heidi loves going for a detour in the world of fiction through reading novels and short stories. Occasionally, she likes going to the live shows of her favorite artists and bands.
Helen is an award-winning journalist and senior editor at Devex, where she edits coverage on global development in the Americas. Based in Colombia, she previously covered war, politics, financial markets, and general news for Reuters, where she headed the bureau, and for Bloomberg in Argentina, where she witnessed the financial meltdown. She started her career in London as a reporter for Euromoney Publications before moving to Hong Kong to work for a daily newspaper.

Ian is a part of the Data Collections Team. He helps to identify and publish different funding activities, opportunities, and programs. With a degree in Political Economy, his fascination is with conflict resolution and post-conflict rehabilitation. Ignasi is a Barcelona native who developed an enthusiastic and broad interest in computer science at an early age. At Devex, he focuses on Engineering Management within the Product Team, helping them to solve business needs, to align with strategy, and to address what's missing for the team. His experience and knowledge makes him still a valuable engineer in the team.

At 25, Hisard is the Executive Director of Mama Clinic, a healthcare initiative which has served over 40,000 patients in 5 years. He was a recipient of a full ride fellowship at Watson University and has represented Kenya through the Young African Leaders Initiative, YALI; a program by President Barack Obama. He's been voted twice as a finalist for the prestigious Africa Health Personality of the Year Award in 2016 and 2017. Jack was a Johnson & Johnson One Young World Scholar in 2017.

Janelle is an international studies graduate, prior to joining Devex, she participated in various volunteer activities concerning community development and always had interest for the latest happenings in the global community. She is one of the newest members of the news production team. During her day off, she spends quality time with her family and dogs.

She has always dreamed of working for an international organization or a diplomatic mission, she feels like it is her way to contribute to the global development community.
She is one of the newest members of the news production team, but before joining the news team she worked for the Data Collections Team for 3 years. During that period, she learned about how the development business works and she gained valuable knowledge about the procurement cycle, navigation of donor websites, and she even had the chance to do data analysis which was later published into an article. Her new job as a content manager introduced her to a new set of skills and gave her up-to-date information about global development news. Now, she is in charge of drafting a few of the newsletters that are being sent out to members daily and she is also part of the team that sources photos that best suit the articles that is being featured in the Devex homepage.
During her day off, she spends quality time with her family and her dogs. She has to admit that she is more of a dog person, since for her dogs are much more affectionate than cats, but she thinks both of them are cute. She currently has 9 dogs, she only gets to spend time with them during the weekends, on weekdays her mother usually takes care of her dogs. She also has great interests in cooking, she is confident in experimenting with Asian flavors since it is what she is used to eating, that type of food that she cooks are mostly Filipino, Japanese and Korean foods.

Jason is Co-founder and EVP of Devex, the media platform for the global development community, where he leads operations. He's interested in what makes businesses focused on impact successful-and the culture, systems and teams that make them work.
Jason is part of the executive team that has led Devex through several important phases of growth. Previously, he was responsible for design of the Devex recruitment and funding marketplace product which sparked an industry movement to improve the discoverability of funding, job and candidate data to make development projects more competitive. He led the effort to reposition Devex as part of the social enterprise's expansion into a full-fledged news organization and has been responsible for the development and successful launch of new business lines including its first paid news subscription, Devex Pro.
Jason believes in the power of connecting the right person with the right organization (and job). He's currently writing about what he calls the SDG Talent Gap and how to connect more individuals to careers with impact during this Decade of Action. He has worked and traveled in more than 40 countries, meeting with Devex member organizations to understand their business challenges and how to achieve greater impact-especially in the area of recruitment. He has also spoken at industry events and universities around the globe, many of whom are Devex University Members.
Jazha graduated with a degree in International Studies and plans to study further in the field of peace, development, or strategic studies. She spends her free time listening to music, playing the guitar, and going out with her friends. But she really loves to have time for herself, only staying at home, eating, and binge watching shows.

After spending her first three years at Devex implementing communications campaigns with donor agencies, corporations and NGOs, Jenni has taken on the challenge of launching Devex's newest business line, advertising strategies. After nearly a decade in Washington, D.C., she is fulfilling a lifelong dream of living abroad by working in Devex's Barcelona office helping people do good around the world.
In Jenni's current role she leads the creation of custom advertising campaigns for Devex's partners - from universities to service providers - helping them amplify their reach and position them as thought leaders among our niche audience of a million global development professionals.
From sixth grade, when she first traveled internationally on a student ambassador trip, Jenni knew she wanted a career in development. She just didn't know such a career existed until she moved to D.C., and dove into roles with the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition, Modernizing Foreign Assistance Network, and Deloitte, where, as a senior associate, she executed marketing plans and sponsorships in support of business development, including the redesign and launch of their emerging markets website. Named as one of the 2012 "Top 99 Under 33 Foreign Policy Leaders" by the Diplomatic Courier, Jenni's passion for a better world makes her a powerful part of the Devex Partnerships team. Just don't get in the way of this spirited go-getter and, we should mention, second-degree Taekwondo black belt.

She holds graduate degrees in journalism and international relations and has lived and work in London, Edinburgh, Barcelona and Berlin.

He spent 12+ years as a cross-platform journalist with the New York Times and most recently was the editor of Springwise, covering sustainable and disruptive business innovation. Originally from New York and based in London, Justin spends his off-hours learning how to be a dad, meditating, loving his wife and dog, frequenting record shops, and telling Londoners what "real pizza tastes like.
Kate Warren brings two decades of global development and digital media experience, covering and shaping the important conversations driving the Sustainable Development Goals. In her role as EVP and Executive Editor, Kate leads Devex's special coverage including news events, Devex Pro, and other editorial initiatives tied to key moments on the global development calendar. Kate is a frequent speaker and author on human capital, leadership, skills development and trends in the social impact and global development space as well as LGBTQ youth rights.
Before joining Devex in 2008, Kate worked on programs in Afghanistan, Indonesia, Colombia, Kenya and beyond for an international NGO and a global development consulting firm implementing USAID funded rule of law, infrastructure, civil society and institutional strengthening and monitoring and evaluation projects. (And yes, she was a Devex member).
A native Texan, Kate speaks Spanish and studied Latin American Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. She has lived in Argentina, Costa Rica and Mexico and has experience in over 30 countries. When she isn't planning the next Devex editorial initiative or speaking at international conferences, you can find her alongside her husband shuttling their two kids around Washington, DC.

Katrina is a highly skilled recruiter with a reputation for uncovering those hard-to-find candidates. She has a formidable skill set for taking on even the most challenging of roles. As lead recruiter and Associate Director for our global recruitment services team, Katrina supports our executive search service, and having managed outreach efforts to in-demand applicant pools, has grown a considerable pipeline of candidates, ready for use whenever a search is requested. Katrina serves as a project manager for large scale recruitment projects, and has helped to successfully implement high-level executive searches and recruitment efforts with World Bank, The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, UN agencies like UNHCR and UNOPS, as well as international NGOs. She is also a skilled CV writer for mostly senior and executive level clients.
Before Katrina joined Devex, she worked as Selection and Assessment Associate with Development Dimensions International, a global talent management consulting firm. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Development Communications and graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of the Philippines, and speaks fluent English. Lisa Caswell, originally from the UK, has been living in Barcelona for the last seven years. She has experience in the environmental engineering world, renewable energy, sustainability, public health, wellbeing, and community engagement, among others!

Leading a small powerful team, Margaret is the go-to if you're looking to connect with Devex's 100 team members around the globe.
Raised by two educators, it's fair to say that Margaret's first classroom was around the dinner table with the international students who lived with her family. This experience helped her understand the concerns of those impacted by global development first-hand and eventually led her to live abroad in Europe and the Middle East. In addition to spending time studying the refugee crisis in Jordan and teaching English in Palestine, Margaret brings with her professional experience working on Capitol Hill, with non-profits, public foundations, and congressional campaigns. But if her swift rise up the ladder to a leading role in Devex member support, corporate accounting and human resource isn't enough testament to Mica's tenacity, consider her passion for corporate social responsibility. Muzabel is the founder and Executive Director of SAVIC , a local NGO based in Kakuma Refugee Camp that promotes education, livelihoods opportunities and reproductive health among young people. His career aspiration is to provide leadership in innovations and advocate for policies that enable less-advantaged youth to take full control of their economic and social lives.
As a video leader, Naomi's job is to engage and inspire the Devex community through visual storytelling. Based in Barcelona, she works with the news and digital campaigns teams to create videos that explore the biggest issues in international development and the organizations and individuals working for change around the world. Before joining Devex, she worked in journalism, documentary, and the INGO sector.

Patience currently works as a human factors engineering specialist at the Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality and previously worked as the Product Development Manager for Ebola Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at Johns Hopkins University. Her research interests include the application of human factors engineering and design to infection control and prevention. Patience was a Johnson & Johnson One Young World Scholar in 2017.
Having studied the coping mechanisms and food-driven behavior of urban poor women in the slums of Tondo, Manila, Patricia has long been aware of the acute developmental gaps underlying the world's poorest communities. At Devex, she parlays her on-the-ground knowledge into data-driven research and analysis for organizations looking to best create impact for those who need it most. An anthropologist with leanings toward global politics, Patricia has previously worked for human rights NGOs as a researcher, advisor and community organizer.

Paul Adepoju is a Nigeria-based freelance journalist, academic, and author. He covers health and tech in Africa for leading local and international media outlets including CNN, Quartz, and The Guardian. He's also the founder of healthnews.africa. He is completing a doctorate in cell biology and genetics and holds several reporting awards in health and tech.
As an events associate, Princess coordinates with people inside and outside Devex to help produce meaningful virtual events tackling relevant issues in global development. With a bachelor's in international studies, and pursuing a master's in Philippine and development studies, she is interested in exploring and improving the ways in which different sectors work together to achieve development goals. Her previous work experiences include project implementation, editing, communication, and branding for government, private, and nonprofit organizations.

Raquel leads Devex's Development Data team - the all-star team that tracks and analyzes the funding, programs and activities of financial institutions, philanthropic organizations and corporations at the intersection of business and global development. Her team provides a tactical and holistic understanding of development funding flows to our community. Prior to joinfing Devex's Barcelona office, she worked in business development in Washington, D.C., and as a researcher in Russia and Mexico.
Raymond helps build great things for the Devex website. He designs tests and implements reliable automation testing, making sure the key features of the site remains intact. His role as a software quality analyst involves working collaboratively with an agile team, from product managers to developers. His sense of focus and critical thinking makes him a team player, ready to roll with the punches. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, watching sci-fi & fantasy movies and series just to retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
In his role as Editorial Director Richard oversees content for digital series, reports and events, leading a talented team of writers and editors, conducting high-level video interviews and moderating panels at events. Sam also produces and hosts the Happiness at Work Podcast, interviewing authors, speakers and thought leaders.

Sara Jerving is a Senior Reporter at Devex, where she covers global health. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, VICE News, and Bloomberg News among others. Sara holds a master's degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism where she was a Lorana Sullivan fellow. She was a finalist for One World Media's Digital Media Award in 2021; a finalist for the Livingston Award for Young Journalists in 2018; and she was part of a VICE News Tonight on HBO team that received an Emmy nomination in 2018. She received the Philip Greer Memorial Award from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in 2014.
Sheri-kae is the first Devexer based in Kingston, Jamaica. She has a degree in Communications from the University of the West Indies and over seven years of experience as an editor and reporter. Her passion for journalism and global development is what drew her to Devex. She is part of the amazing Copy Editing team at Devex, which help to ensure our readers get accurate and quality content. With more than 15 years experience, Stan plans and implements marketing communications across all Devex's digital channels. He manages timelines, campaigns, segmentation, and impact analysis. Stephanie Beasley is a senior reporter at Devex, where she covers global philanthropy with a focus on regulations and policy. She is an alumna of the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and Oberlin College and has a background in Latin American studies. She previously covered transportation security at POLITICO.
Tania Karas is a Senior Editor at Devex, where she edits coverage on global development and humanitarian aid in the Americas. Previously, she managed the digital team for The World, where she oversaw content production for the website, podcast, newsletter, and social media platforms. Tania also spent three years as a foreign correspondent in Greece, Turkey, and Lebanon, covering the Syrian refugee crisis and European politics. She started her career as a staff reporter for the New York Law Journal, covering immigration and access to justice.

Trang is currently conducting her PhD research on Vietnamese social workers' attitudes and practices with sexual minorities, aiming to increase knowledge on sexual minorities and promoting culturally competent services for LGBTQI clients in Vietnam. She's the founder of ‘SOS: Sharing of Stories - The Silenced Speak Up', a platform where young Vietnamese people, especially disadvantaged minority groups, share their stories regarding sexual and reproductive health. She's been named as one of the World Contraception Day Ambassadors for her work in advancing women' sexual and reproductive rights.
Unami has previously worked as a Young women's coordinator at the World YWCA in Geneva where she worked on women's advocacy in leadership and empowerment. She was awarded a seed grant by Women Deliver as a selected Youth leader to lead Project Unbreakable; a sexual harassment awareness campaign at the University of Botswana. Her work focuses on advancing the inclusiveness of women and girls' in political leadership and economic decision-making and hopes to join the Botswana parliament as a policy maker in her lifetime.

Vince Chadwick is Devex's Brussels correspondent, tracking EU institutions, member states, and European civil society. A law graduate from Melbourne, Australia, he was social affairs reporter for The Age newspaper, before moving to Europe in 2013. He covered breaking news, the arts and public policy across the continent, including as a reporter and editor at POLITICO Europe.
Working in International Relations has always been Yssa's biggest aspiration, and she's part of the Data Collection Team at Devex. For fun, she loves to watch films-with a specific love for the Golden Age of Cinema-and tv shows, as well as reading books.
