INFLUIT ENERGY

Influit Energy LLC is a multidisciplinary startup whose core competency is in material science, electrochemistry, system integration, and product development. The founders of Influit Energy LLC are the original inventors of the NEF technology and have studied the nuances of such systems since its inception. Early-stage research activities began in 2009 as a collaborative basic research initiative between Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) and Argonne National Laboratory (ANL), with very little initial monetary support. The preliminary investigation results helped secure the joint IIT/ANL ARPA-E award in 2014. These research efforts, directed toward development of NEF technology, indicated obvious challenges that needed to be overcome to transition to the product development phase as a company.
