Prior to PartnerRe, Abbey worked for a short time in Public Accounting for PWC, one of the Big 4 Accounting Firms. Brendan Furlong is an Assistant Secretary and Senior Treaty Underwriter at OdysseyRe. Carl Weinberger is originally from Stockholm, Sweden and graduated with a Master of Laws from the University of Stockholm. He started his career in the insurance industry in 1994 working for Gerling Konzern Allgemeine in Cologne, Germany. After 8 years on the insurance side, which allowed him to work in different Casualty Underwriting roles across the globe in Germany, Hong Kong, the US and Sweden, Carl moved into reinsurance in 2003, when he joined ERC/Frankona in Munich, Germany. In 2006, Carl moved to the US working for Swiss Re. In 2011 he moved back to Europe to become Munich Re's UK General Branch's Casualty Manager in London, UK. Carl has been back in the US since 2017 and currently holds the position of Senior Vice President and Casualty Underwriting Manager in the treaty area for Munich Re in Princeton

Danny Hojnowski

Emily Rudowitz has over 20 years of insurance and reinsurance experience, working in both private practice and serving as in-house counsel for various reinsurance companies. Emily began her career at the law firm of Mendes & Mount in 2000, where she handled a diverse range of direct and reinsurance matters. After becoming a Non-Equity Partner, Emily remained at Mendes until 2008, when she left to join Odyssey Re as Complex Claims Counsel. Emily joined Ace Tempest Re as Contracts Counsel in 2009, working with the U.S. reinsurance group. In 2014, Emily assumed the position of Assistant General Counsel at Allied World Re, where she managed the legal, regulatory and contract needs of its global reinsurance operations. Emily began her role at Acrisure Re as Global Head of Contracts in 2019, overseeing the Contracts team in North America and London and providing legal support across all Acrisure Re offices. Emily earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Brooklyn Law School in 2000 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the Pennsylvania State University. Pat joined Lloyd's in 2006 and serves as Central Region Director. He also leads Lloyd's Managing Agent Practice in the US. While there, he was instrumental in establishing Kentucky's captive insurance program, and also represented Kentucky on various task forces and working groups of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. Prior to that, Pat served as Vice President of Trading and Operations for Commonwealth Investment Group, a Louisville, Kentucky-based institutional broker/dealer. Pat has a double major in Finance and Economics from the University of Kentucky. Sam DeGiovanni began his career in the reinsurance industry in 2009 as part of Aspen Re's graduate training scheme before assuming full-time positions in Aspen's US casualty facultative and treaty teams underwriting casualty and professional lines reinsurance. In May 2020, Sam joined the newly launched Ryan Re team and currently serves as VP and Senior Casualty Underwriter. Sam graduated magna cum laude from Boston College with a degree in Economics and Hispanic Studies and has been a member of the IRUA board of directors since 2018.

Mr. Simmons has over 29 years' experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry of which the last four years have been with the Sirius Group (including Sirius America Insurance Company) ("Sirius"). Prior to joining Sirius in 2016, Mr. Simmons spent 14 years at Partner Reinsurance Company in Greenwich, CT, where he was Senior Vice President and Senior Underwriter, responsible for the development and management of a $75 million individual property treaty portfolio. Mr. Simmons began his career as Senior Accountant/Auditor with Ernst & Young, and later moved to XL (NAC Re), where he launched his career in reinsurance in the finance area, as Senior Auditor and Officer. He later transferred to underwriting as Property Facultative Underwriter and Officer in NAC Re's Chicago branch office. Mr. Simmons has earned the CPCU and ARe designations. He holds a BBA from Iona College and is also a CPA.

Tim Poeton currently holds the position of Senior VP Business Development at State National Companies. Following a 15-year career as a reinsurance broker at Lloyd's, principally in the North American arena, Tim was temporarily transferred to New York to close down an unprofitable broking subsidiary of Grieg Fester that was losing $2.8mm a year with 36 people. Within 18 months, Tim turned it around to profitability before being sold and then joining Sedgwick Re. Following the acquisition of Sedgwick by Marsh/Guy Carpenter founded Cambridge Risk, in partnership, where the company specialized exclusively in the production and placement of MGA program business. This included the formation of a $7.5mm segregated cell captive in Bermuda which jointly took risk with MGA partners. The company was sold after four years and Tim joined GJ Sullivan Re still focusing on the program sector. After 9+ years at GJS Re, Tim joined State National Companies in 2015. His team responsibilities include the production of new business including the diligence process, overseeing the broker placement of MGA program reinsurance and the implementation of programs, as well as maintaining ongoing client and broker relationships.

Prior to joining Arch, Bill was the Manager of Consulting Services at AIR Worldwide and served as an officer in the United States Navy. He has a dual master's degree in Business Administration and Information Services from Boston University, and a bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University. Bill is also a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and serves on the Executive Committee of the Intermediaries and Reinsurance Underwriters Association.
