Aristos Michaelides was born in 1959 in Temvria, Solea. He graduated from the Greek Gymnasium of Solea and after serving in the army, studied journalism and architectural design - which he never worked in - in Athens. He participated in a series of seminars and conferences on the design and updating of newspapers and has been working in the Cypriot press since 1983, first as an Athens correspondent.

In 1991, he contributed to the development of the periodical press in Cyprus as editor of Phileleftheros' first magazine, Selides, where he worked for six years. He then left to take over the launch of Politis, where he was editor in chief during the newspaper's first six years of operation. He returned to Phileleftheros as editor in chief in 2006, participating in the design and development of a new era for the historic Cypriot newspaper. He is married to Eleni Eftychiou and they have two children, Ioli and Alecos. Back
Costas Anastasiou was born in Nicosia in 1963. He graduated from the Grammar School and after completing his military service, studied accounting. He is AAT and CAT qualified. He is a member of the Cyprus Institute of Internal Auditors, member of the International Institute of Internal Auditors, member of the Institute of Financial Accountants of Great Britain as well as a member of the Institute of Financial Consultants of Canada.
He has been employed at the Phileleftheros Media Group since January 1984, working in every section of the accounting department before becoming its manager. He is also a board member of Kronos distribution agency.
He has attended a series of specialised seminars in business administration, business productivity and bookkeeping. Married to Elli Chrysostomou, they have one son, Tasos. Back

Myrto Markides was born in Nicosia. She attended Kykkos Lyceum before pursuing undergraduate studies at the University of Boston in the United States from 1982 to 1986 where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business Administration. She continued her studies from 1986 to 1987 at London's City University where she obtained a Master of Arts in journalism.
On completing her studies in 1987 she started work at Phileleftheros newspaper, initially as a feature writer and then as a finance correspondent, playing a leading role in the launch of the newspaper's financial section. A few years later, she took over as Assistant Editor in Chief of the newspaper. In 1995, she made the transition from journalism to management, first as General Manager of the company and since 2007 as Chief Executive Officer of Phileleftheros Print and Multimedia Group, a position she holds to this day.
During her professional career, Phileleftheros has grown from a 12page newspaper to the biggest media and publishing group in Cyprus. Its titles include the three biggest circulation newspapers (Phileleftheros, The Cyprus Weekly and Goal), 8 magazines (including Hello, Down Town, Omikron, Synthesis, Life, TV Mania, Taste, and Chryses Syntages), 12 web sites (including philenews.com, like.com, InCyprus.com, goal.com.cy, Cyprus-is.com and others) three radio stations (Sfera, Kiss and Active), a series of specialized publications on culture, education and the history of Cyprus and a stake in the paper import firm H & A Paper Ltd, at the printing company PROTEAS PRESS and at the Publishing company N & M Mediamorfosis Ltd.
Myrto Markides is the granddaughter of the founder of Phileleftheros, Nicos Pattichis and one of the main shareholders and a member of the boards of Phileleftheros Media Group Ltd and N & M Mediamorfosis Ltd. She is vice president and co-owner of the printing company PROTEAS PRESS and a member of the board of H &A Paper Ltd. She has one daughter, Myrna. Back

A graduate of the Lanition Gymnasium with merit, he completed his military service and studied at the University of Munich (T.U. Muenchen) from 1981 to 1988, where he was awarded an ΜΑ and a Diplom Ingenieur und Architectur with a merit and a distinction in architecture and history of art. He worked in various university departments and took part in competitions with leading architectural firms. Renos Onoufriou was born on May 15, 1966 in Limassol where he grew up.
After completing his military service he studied in Cologne, Germany (1986 - 1993) and at Phillips College in Cyprus (1993 - 1994) where he received a BA in Economics and Business Administration.
From 1994 to 2000 he was deputy manager of Alpha Trading & Shipping Agencies Ltd in Saudi Arabia. Alpha Trading & Shipping Agencies Ltd is a food import company with annual sales exceeding 800 million.
Since March 2000 he has been Sales and Marketing Manager at the Phileleftheros group, responsible for supervising for advertising in the group's newspapers, magazines, web sites and radio stations.
He is married and has two children; Constantinos (aged 17) and Christina (aged 15). Back
