ALEJANDRO SANTA CRUZ

Alejandro Santa Cruz, CFA, joined Foss & Company in May 2021 to raise institutional capital for the firm's sponsored renewable energy tax credit funds. He has been involved in the financial sector since 1994, launching his career as a Manager in the M&A Department of the Bank of Nova Scotia and then becoming a financial sector analyst with Duff & Phelps (fixed income) and Bear Stearns & Co. (equity, sales side). In 2000 Mr. Santa Cruz joined Darby Overseas Investments, Ltd. as a Vice President in its private equity practice specializing in financial sector investments. In 2005 Mr. Santa Cruz co-founded the LatAm/MexDAM Group to pursue overlooked, high-yield investment opportunities in emerging markets on behalf of its client base - mainly institutional investors and hedge funds - and through this platform successfully acquired, originated and managed over USD 1 billion in diversified financial assets. In 2019-20 he obtained technical certifications in solar PV and storage technologies, and accreditations in ESG and Sustainable Investing. Alejandro earned an MBA from McGill University and a BBA in Marketing & Finance from Baylor University, and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He is based in Austin, TX.

ALESIA TAM

Alesia joined Foss & Company in June 2019. As an Asset Manager, she focuses on managing real estate investments held in our proprietary tax credit equity funds. She works closely with developers, investors, and other partners, and is integral in supporting those relationships. Prior to joining Foss & Company, Alesia worked in asset management for a private equity, value-add investment firm as well as a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) development firm. Alesia graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a BS Microbial Biology and a certificate in Financial Planning and Analysis. She is based out of our San Francisco office.

ALLISON BARRY - CMO

Allison Barry joined Foss & Company in February 2021. In her role, Allison leads the public relations and marketing efforts for Foss & Company. Prior to joining Foss & Company, Allison was a Senior Account Executive at a PR and Marketing agency in Portland, OR. She focused on leading marketing efforts for international technology associations and forums. Allison attended University of Oregon and holds a B.A. in Public Relations and Digital Communications.

ANDREW MURO

Andrew joined Foss & Company in June 2021. As the Portfolio Management Lead for Renewable Energy, he is in charge of all aspects of investment performance, working with sponsors on project compliance and tax credit investors on fund management. Prior to joining Foss & Company, he created a solar investment vehicle and managed its day-to-day operations. For 12 years prior to that he worked with top-tier solar or renewable energy companies, either financing assets or developing premier asset and portfolio management talent and processes globally. He has overseen some of the largest solar and wind farms in North America, as well as solar sites in Chile, Italy, Spain, England, and Canada. Education credentials include an MBA from ESADE in Barcelona, and a BA from UC Santa Barbara.

ANNIE AMRHEIN

Annie joined Foss & Company in February 2021 as an Investment Operations Manager on the Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technologies team. In this role, she is primarily focused on facilitating and managing all closing aspects related to the financing of solar and carbon capture investments. In addition, she works closely with the Director of Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technologies to provide continued support throughout the transaction lifecycle. Prior to joining Foss & Company, Annie worked as a paralegal in commercial real estate where she supported attorneys in the acquisition, construction, and refinancing of multifamily housing and healthcare facilities. Annie graduated from the University of Virginia with a BA in Environmental Science and completed her Master of Public Administration with a specialization in Energy, Technology, and Climate Policy from University College London. She is based out of our Denver office.

BRYEN ALPERIN

Bryen Alperin joined Foss & Company in November of 2017. As Director of Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technologies, Mr. Alperin leads all aspects of the investment, origination, and asset management process for renewable energy and sustainability funds. Prior to joining Foss & Company, Mr. Alperin worked in commercial banking and led debt financing for a broad range of middle market businesses and commercial projects. Mr. Alperin earned his BA in Economics magna cum laude from the University of California, Davis, and has an Executive Certification in Sustainable Capitalism & ESG from the University of California, Berkeley. He is based out of our Denver office.

CHRIS FIELDS

Chris Fields joined Foss & Company in December of 2021. He focuses primarily on sourcing federal and state historic tax credit projects located in the Midwest and South for the various Foss Historic Funds. Adept at bridging the gap between the public and private sector, Chris brings 11 years of government finance and tax credit expertise to Foss & Company. He has held various Community and Economic Development leadership and consultative roles including; President of a Federal Enterprise Community and Director of Operations of a Texas based business incubator. Furthermore, Chris has 10 plus years of energy sector experience acquiring Oil and Gas lease/mineral assets for public and private companies throughout the continental US. Mr. Fields holds a BA from the University of Oklahoma and a Certificate of Project Management from the University of Texas at Arlington. He will be working out of our St. Louis, MO area branch office.

DON MACMASTER

Don joined Foss & Company in July 2021. As a Real Estate Investment Manager, he is directly involved in each step of our underwriting process, from evaluating initial prospects to analyzing due diligence materials and closing our tax credit investments. He works closely with our developer partners and with third parties to ensure the success of our investments. Prior to joining Foss & Company, Don worked at Cadre Advisors as a Commercial Mortgage Underwriter for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans. Before that, Don spent five years at Natixis Bank in its Capital Markets group focusing on CMBS securitization and loan origination, and two years as an analyst at Fitch Ratings in its CMBS group. Don graduated from Colby College with a B.A. in Mathematics. Don is based out of our Charlotte office.

DREW GOLDMAN

Drew joined Foss & Company in January 2019, and is primarily focused on the placement of institutional investor capital into Foss & Company sponsored state and federal tax credit funds. His 18-year background in financial services includes equity syndication for Raymond James Tax Credit Funds and at Meridian Investments Inc, strategic M&A and global investment banking roles with GE Capital and JPMorgan Chase, and corporate lending for Bank of America. Additionally, Drew spent 5 years in commercial real estate, directing business development for a multi-family management and development firm in the Southeast, and conducting acquisitions in New York and Florida for a self-storage investment and management company. Drew has an MBA from Emory University's Goizueta Business School, and earned his BBA from The University of Texas at Austin.

ERIC BRUBAKER

Mr. Brubaker is the Director of Acquisitions for Foss & Company. He joined Foss & Company in 2005 and became a shareholder in 2012. He oversees the Acquisitions team and is a member of the Foss Investment Committee. In addition, he is the lead originator for Foss' state credit funds in Virginia, Ohio, North Carolina, and South Carolina and in the past sixteen years he has sourced over $1.5 billion in tax credits. He has a series 7 and 63 securities registration and works out of the Charlotte, N.C. office of Foss & Company.

EUGENE SHEKHTMAN

Eugene joined Foss & Company in January 2021 as a Real Estate Investment Manager. He underwrites initial prospects, evaluates due diligence materials, and works closely with partners to close our tax credit investments. Prior to joining Foss & Company, Eugene spent two years at Berkadia Commercial Mortgage in its San Francisco office. There, he was responsible for sizing, underwriting, and managing closing processes for multifamily loans. Eugene received a BA in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania. Eugene is based out of Foss & Company's San Francisco office.

George Barry - President

Mr. Barry has been active in the tax credit market as a broker and sponsor of tax credit syndications since the Tax Reform Act of 1986. Mr. Barry has been at Foss & Company since 1985 and has raised over $5 billion in federal and state tax credit equity for the development of affordable housing, the rehabilitation of historic structures, the development of coal based synthetic fuel production facilities and photovoltaic and thermal solar production facilities as well as a host of state tax credit programs. Mr. Barry represents a broad cross section of institutional investors from insurance companies, financial institutions, manufacturing and distribution companies and retail and service companies. Mr. Barry currently is the Manager of numerous federal and state tax credit syndicated investment funds. Mr. Barry received a BA from the University of California at Berkeley and a JD from San Francisco Law School in 1983. He is a frequent speaker on the structuring and financing of tax credit transactions at conferences across the country. Mr. Barry has a Series 7, Series 63 and Series 22 securities registration.

INGRID ANDERS

Ingrid joined Foss & Company in October 2021. As an Asset Manager, she focuses on managing real estate investments held in our proprietary tax credit equity funds. She works closely with developers, investors, and other partners, and is integral in supporting those relationships. Prior to joining Foss & Company, Ingrid worked in asset management for RBC Capital Markets, and has over 18 years of experience in residential property management with portfolios of conventional, HUD and Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) properties. Ingrid earned an MBA from Strayer University, and a B.A. from Clark Atlanta University. She is based out of our Charlotte office.

JACK MANS - CFO

Prior to joining Foss & Company in December of 2012, Mr. Mans worked as a CPA with WithumSmith+Brown performing both tax and audit engagements. Mr. Mans holds a B.S. in business administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and an MBA from Monmouth University. He is based out of the San Francisco office and currently licensed as a CPA in the state of New Jersey and California.​

JENNIFER PRUETT

Jennifer Pruett joined Foss & Company in October 2021 and sources institutional investor capital for placement into Foss sponsored state and federal tax credit funds. Prior to joining Foss, Jennifer spent 20+ years in asset management representing traditional and alternative investment strategies including managed futures, fund-of-hedge funds, CLOs and structured products. In these roles she was responsible for developing strategic growth initiatives, delivering investor education and for expanding firm visibility across institutional and wealth management channels. Her experience includes business development roles at Man Investments, Inc., Lazard Asset Management, Tocqueville Asset Management, and boutique shops specializing in emerging/frontier markets and illiquid alternatives. She graduated from Williams College and has a BA in History.

JOHN S. BOWMAN JR.

John joined Foss & Company in June 2014 and became a shareholder in 2018. He focuses primarily on sourcing federal and state historic rehabilitation tax credits for the various Foss Historic Funds or as one off placements to our corporate investors. He practiced law with Balch & Bingham, LLP for ten years. John was a partner in the firm specializing in real estate, bankruptcy, and both general and business litigation. In 1999 John left the practice of law, though he maintains his membership with the Alabama State Bar, to take a position as Vice President with Guilford Capital Corporation. At Guilford, he helped create the Historic Tax Credit division which created historic tax credit investment funds for both Regions Financial Corporation and Fannie Mae. In 2002, John accepted the position of President of the Small Deal Fund L.P. ("SDF") with Tax Credit Capital, LLC ("TCC"). During his tenure at TCC, John oversaw the development of thirteen (13) tax credit investment funds. John received a B.S. and J.D. from the University of Alabama in 1986 and 1989 respectively. He works out of our Seagrove Beach, FL office.

JOHN SOREL

John Sorel joined Foss & Company in August of 2019. He focuses primarily on sourcing federal and state historic rehabilitation tax credits in the Northeast for the various Foss Historic Funds. John brings over 30-years of commercial real estate finance experience to Foss & Company. He began his career as a commercial banker and has held senior asset management roles as a Managing Director at Related Capital Company/Chartermac, Madison Realty Capital and Berkeley Point Capital. Most recently John was a Senior Vice President of Originations at Stratford Capital Group in Boston where he focused on originating Low Income Housing Tax Credit transactions for various corporate investors. He received his BA in Economics from Syracuse University in 1984. John works out of our Boston, Massachusetts area branch office.

JONATHAN LEVINE

Jonathan joined Foss & Company in April of 2018. He is primarily focused on the management of developer relationships. Prior to joining Foss & Company, Jonathan held various roles focused on the financing of real estate preservation using Tax Credit Programs at Regions Bank as an Asset Manager and at Redstone Partners, where he held multiple roles, including an Originations Analyst and later an Asset Management Analyst. Jonathan graduated from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York with a BS in Business Economics. He is based out of our San Francisco office.

KIMBERLY CARLINI

Kimberly joined Foss & Company in April of 2022. As Senior Vice President of Investments, she leads the team that focuses on raising equity capital from our investors for Foss sponsored ESG friendly investments in state and federal Funds that generate transferable tax credits, cash flow, and other economic benefits. Prior to joining Foss and Company, she enjoyed over 20 years at JPMorgan Chase, initially as a Chief Financial Officer for Global Fixed Income where she advised business executives to improve profitability through expense, risk and capital management. Kimberly later directed a 150-person Middle Market banking organization covering nearly 5,000 relationships and finally led a global 450-person Credit Risk team responsible for managing over $110B in credit commitments through a six year period of transformation. Kimberly spent the first years of her career employed by KPMG LLP, where she managed audits for government, non-profit, healthcare, university and manufacturing clients, applying her certification as a public accountant (CPA). Kimberly earned her MBA from Kellogg-Northwestern University, where she focused on Finance, Management & Strategy and Analytical Consulting. She is based out of our Chicago office.

KIP KIMBLE

Kip Kimble joined Foss & Company in February 2020. As Vice President of Capital Markets, Kip works with insurance companies, financial institutions and other companies to redirect funds earmarked for state and federal taxes into investments that generate tax benefits, cash flow and other benefits including improved ESG ratings. Additionally, Kip runs Foss & Company's debt platform that sources and places project level debt for Foss developer clients to go alongside Foss tax equity investments. Kip brings more than 30 years of commercial real estate and debt experience to the company. For the past 20 years, he has been a loan originator with Deutsche Bank, Prudential and Bellwether where he produced more than $6 billion of new mortgage loans, primarily on multifamily communities across the country. Kip's other experience includes commercial banking, asset management and commercial real estate brokerage. Kip graduated from the University of Michigan in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Economics within the school of Literature, Science and the Arts.

Leveque Tower

LeVeque Tower first opened in 1927 and for nearly 90 years it has been Columbus' iconic landmark. After four year rehabilitation, the tower has been restored to prominence. In order to maximize the building's unique floorplan it has been divided into three different condominiums that now contain a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel, 150,000 sf of class A office space, and 80 luxury apartments. It is a featured project of the Foss OH 2016 Fund and total development costs were in excess of $50 million. LOCATION Columbus, OH

MATT LAUER

Matt Lauer joined Foss & Company in July of 2021. In his role as Carbon Capture Development Manager, Mr. Lauer is responsible for the identification of and development of new Carbon Capture Utilization and Sequestration (CCUS) opportunities. Mr. Lauer has over 10 years of experience working in all aspects of the tax equity space on projects including refined coal, solar, and CCUS. Mr. Lauer's experience includes assisting in the development of refined coal opportunities, providing financing solutions (PPAs) to commercial solar customers and working with producers of mixed alcohol products and the associated capture of carbon dioxide. A graduate of California State University at Northridge, Mr. Lauer holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.

May Hosiery Lofts

May Hosiery Lofts is the rehabilitation of the former May Hosiery Mills Knitting Mill in downtown Burlington, North Carolina. Burlington was known for its dominance in the hosiery knitting industry in the early 1900's and the Project is one of the few remaining mills from that time. The building was constructed in 1928 and sits on 1.65 acres of land. The existing building has been renovated into 67 Class A, market-rate apartments, 1,700 square feet of interior amenity space (including a clubhouse and workout facility), a 1,000-square-foot roof deck, and 60 parking spaces. NATALIE SKLOVSKAYA

Natalie joined Foss & Company in September 2021. As an Accounting Manager, she is responsible for supporting our finance department. Prior to joining Foss & Company, Natalie worked as a public tax accountant, with experience in partnership and state and local tax. She graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Managerial Economics. Outside of the office, Natalie volunteers to help educate teens and young adults with financial literacy. She is based out of our San Francisco office.

PATRICK O'BRIEN

Patrick O'Brien joined Foss & Company as an Investment Operations Intern in March, 2020. He currently operates on the Investments Team as a Vice President. Patrick operates in all segments of investment sourcing, client relations and research processes. Prior to joining Foss & Company Patrick was researching the impact of regulation on the growth of emerging financial technology markets at the University of Otago. He was the youngest graduate from both the Bachelors of Science in Economics and Masters of Finance Degrees in his Alma Matter's history. Outside of work Patrick spends his time volunteering and finding ways to support small-scale regenerative agriculture with technology.

Prince Charles

Originally built in 1925, the historic Prince Charles Hotel was built as an eight-story Colonial Revival structure. The hotel was placed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 and began as a local stock company enterprise, opening with 125 rooms. The former hotel has now been converted into 59 apartments, 9,444sf of ground-floor retail, and 3,300sf of office space. RAVEN WILLIAMS

Raven joined Foss & Company in July 2021. As an Asset Manager, she focuses on managing real estate investments held in our proprietary tax credit equity funds. She works closely with developers, investors, and other partners, and is integral in supporting those relationships. Prior to joining Foss & Company, Raven worked in asset management for a leading tax credit syndicator, as well as with a development firm, both with a focus in Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC). Before moving into asset management, she was a Senior Commercial Real Estate Underwriter. Raven holds a Jenkins MBA from NC State University, and a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is based out of our Charlotte office.

SPENCER CAGE

Spencer Cage joined Foss & Company in March of 2021 as an Investment Manager on the Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technologies team. In this role, he focuses on screening new investments, evaluation of due diligence, and the closing of renewable energy fund investments. Prior to joining Foss & Company, Spencer worked was an Analyst in the Infrastructure and Energy Group at Macquarie Capital in New York City, where he specialized in M&A and strategic advisory transactions. Spencer attended Middlebury College and holds a B.A. in Economics.

STEVE WALDMAN

Steve joined Foss & Company in October of 2018. As Vice President of Investments, he is active in raising equity capital for Foss sponsored state and federal Funds that generate transferable tax credits, cash flow, and other economic benefits. Prior to joining Foss and Company, he founded Ground Lease Partners, LLC. which is a leading Acquirer, Originator, Structure and Investor in Ground Lease transactions on a national and international basis. In addition, Steve was the Co-founder of Spectrum Title, a family of companies consisting of a Mezzanine Fund, a Title Insurance Agent, and a 1031 Exchange company. Mr. Waldman has been an active investor and operator of commercial real estate across North America and worked on Wall Street for 10 years within top-tier investment banks where he managed the portfolios for High Net Worth investors. He is based out of our New York office.

TONY PUCCI

Prior to that, he had various business and legal roles with technology companies and law firms. Tony received a BA from the University of California at Berkeley and a JD from Santa Clara University.
