Dan Buchanan

Job Titles:
  • Sport Rehabilitator & Soft Tissue Therapist
Dan is an experienced sport rehabilitator and soft tissue therapist. He has 15 years of experience working across a variety of sports, including Rugby, Hockey, Ice Hockey and most recently with Reading FC and Derby County FC. Dan is a BASRaT registered Graduate Sport Rehabilitator. After completing his Sport Rehabilitation degree in 2003 he went on to develop a specialism in soft tissue and performance therapy. He enjoys the challenge of working with a range of people from elite athletes through to individuals living with pain and chronic health conditions. As a Regional Director of the Sports Massage Association he is committed to improving the quality of Soft Tissue Therapy provision in the UK.

Daniel Rampling

Job Titles:
  • Sports Chiropractor / BCA & Royal College of Chiropractic
Daniel is an experienced Sports Chiropractor who has worked for Portsmouth FC, Aldershot Town FC and regularly with a Premier League football team on a consultancy basis. He works with a wide range of athletes including Team GB weightlifters, motocross riders and pro golfers. Sports Chiropractic covers the whole body, treating the spine alongside peripheral joints to optimise recovery from injury and improve efficiency of movement. Daniel is registered with the British Chiropractic Association and a member of the Royal College of Chiropractors.

Daniel Wiltshire

Job Titles:

Dan qualified from Brunel University with a first class honours BSc degree in Physiotherapy in 2016. He has since worked within a range of specialisms in the NHS, including post surgery rehabilitation, outpatient care and with sports injuries. Alongside clinics with us, Dan works in the NHS as a clinical specialist of shoulder and elbow conditions, carrying out advanced assessment and treatment of complex injuries.

Heidi Zymela

Heidi Zymela is a post graduate Sports Therapist with an MSc from Buckinghamshire New University where she continues to work as an associate lecturer. Prior to sports therapy she had lots of experience as a personal trainer and exercise referral specialist. She is great at combining high quality hands on treatment with an effective rehabilitation plan.

Jonny Nicholson

Jonny has a desire to improve the accessibility of high-level physical training and testing support to enhance the performance and rehabilitation of everyday recreational athletes, young people, and training enthusiasts. He currently leads the development and delivery of our physiological testing and young athlete programmes, and works as a performance coach offering 1-1 training and coaching on our Elevate and Rehab Programmes. Jonny holds a first class degree in (BSc) Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Bath. He has been coaching and delivering our services at GoPerform since 2020.

Lorna Collins

Lorna is a senior MSK Physiotherapist with over 10 years post-grad experience. She initially combined working in the NHS, with her role at the Reading FC Academy before taking up a role as Head Physiotherapist at Chelsea Ladies FC where she also oversaw the younger age groups. Lorna currently works as a senior physiotherapist at the Police Rehabilitation Centre in Goring alongside her role at GoPerform. Lorna has a specific interest in physiotherapy led Pilates and was responsible during her time at Reading FC for delivering a pilates programme to the 1st Team Squad and academy programme. She is an excellent physio, a wonderful team player and an important member of our multi-disciplinary team. Professional Associations

Louise Gubb

Job Titles:
  • Performance Nutritionist and Dietitian
Louise is an experienced Performance Nutritionist and Dietitian with 18 years of combined experience working in the NHS, with the GB rowing team, British Gymnastics, Royal Ballet School, England Hockey and as part of the Intensive Rehabilitation Unit at Bisham Abbey (for Olympic Athletes). She holds a Masters degree in Applied Sports Nutrition, a postgraduate diploma in Dietics and a BSc (Hons) Nutrition, Health and Exercise Science. Previous work as a clinical dietician in the NHS included taking a leading role in the delivery and development of the Paediatric Nutrition Service. Louise is also a Team GB Age Group Triathlete who competes over a range of distances at national and international championships, this gives her incredible insight into the needs and demands of high performance sport particularly for those involved in endurance sports.

Luke Anthony

Luke is a highly respected MSK Physiotherapist with 19 years of experience working full time in professional sport. Having qualified from Kings College London in 1996 he went on to work at The Royal London Hospital before joining Watford football club going on to lead the medical department. He obtained a Masters degree in Sports Physiotherapy from University College London before moving on to work as first team physiotherapist at Gloucester Rugby. Luke joined Reading FC in 2007 where he became Head of Sports Medicine. His most recent role was with Norwich City as Injury Prevention Specialist. In 2017, alongside Dan Buchanan he set up GoPerform one of the first facilities of it's type in the UK.

Lyndsay Fitzgerald

Job Titles:

Lyndsay is a highly skilled musculoskeletal Physiotherapist who qualified from Cardiff University in 2005. She gained extensive experience working in the NHS in South Wales specialising in MSK outpatients before moving to the Police Rehabilitation centre in Oxfordshire. In 2014 Lyndsay completed an MSc in Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy and gained accreditation to the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. Lyndsay is an accredited PINC and STEEL cancer rehabilitation practitioner, the primary aim of PINC and STEEL is to improve strength, quality of life and the sense of wellbeing in patients diagnosed with cancer. She has a special clinical interest in shoulders, running injuries and cycling. She competed at an international level as a hurdler and now enjoys competing as a competitive cyclist for the Jam Cycling Racing Team.

Nick Geen

Job Titles:

Nick is a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist and holds a physiotherapy degree from Oxford Brookes University. Since graduating he has a range of experience working across MSK settings including Flint House Police Rehabilitation Centre, working with the Reading FC academy and in NHS outpatients. Nick has a special interest in orthopaedics and also works at the Circle Hospital in Reading managing post operative rehabilitation, helping patients back to full function and return to sport.

Petra Minott

Petra is a graduate of the Oxford School of Sports Massage (BTEC 5), a qualified ScarWork practitioner and a member of the Sports Massage Association. She has extensive experience working with the sporting population particularly with distance and endurance athletes. She specialises in scarwork, pregnancy and post natal massage and also works remedially with those suffering with chronic health conditions.

Ronan O'Sullivan

Ronan O'Sullivan is a Sports Rehabilitation graduate from IT Carlow, Ireland with an additional MSc in High Performance Sports (strength and conditioning) from UCAM Spain. Ronan has coached at NCAA D1, professional, semi-pro and amateur level athletes in rugby, football, baseball, gaelic football, hurling and golf in Ireland, Spain, USA and the UK. He is an NSCA certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and is passionate about coaching individuals to achieve their goal whatever their starting point.

Sarah Holmes

Sarah is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with 12 years of experience working across a diverse range of sports. During several years with the English Institute of Sport she worked with the GB Triathlon and Fencing teams and also worked in a multi-sports capacity with elite swimming, hockey, athletics, bobsleigh, rugby, para-triathlon, para-rowing and para-athletics. She has also worked with Reading FC, England Men's U19's and continues to work for the FA with the Girls U15-18's development groups. Sarah has an additional MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine and is a ACPSEM Silver Accredited Physiotherapist, she is a member of Reading Athletics Club and a good level distance runner.

Stuart Wylie

Job Titles:

Stuart is an experienced musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. He has extensive experience working in both NHS and private healthcare settings as well as previously working with the Reading FC academy. He is a former physiotherapy lead at the Circle Hospital in Reading where he treated sporting, musculoskeletal and post operative conditions, and worked directly for orthopaedic consultants within the Reading Hip and Knee Unit. Stuart currently also works as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist in the NHS alongside orthopaedic consultants in a role that includes advanced assessment and management of complex cases, requesting and interpreting imaging and carrying out injection therapy. He has a specialist interest in the lower limb, running injuries and tendinopathies. A former non league footballer and ACL reconstruction rehabee, Stuart still manages to drag himself around a 5 aside football pitch and is a keen runner, hiker and cyclist.

Tristan Baker

Job Titles:

Tristan heads up our athletic performance department, he is a Loughborough University Sports Science graduate with an MSc in Strength and Conditioning from St Mary's University. Tristan has coached national and international athletes competing in Football, Formula 1, Athletics and Lacrosse as well as amateurs and professionals in Mixed Martial Arts, Rugby and Tennis. Will Hayler

Will holds a BSc in Sport & Exercise Science and an MSc in Sport Physiology from the University of Brighton. He is currently in the process of becoming a BASES accredited sport scientist. He has good experience working in professional football and also had a very successful post graduate internship year at GoPerform. Most recently he worked as academy sport scientist for Reading FC Academy where he was responsible for the U9-16s age groups. Will's main interests are the long-term athletic development of youth athletes, and he works with many youth athletes across different sports and ages. Alongside this he works as a performance coach offering 1-2-1 training and coaching on our Elevate and Rehabilitation Programmes.
