CHICAGO ORACLE USERS GROUP (COUG) - Key Persons
Alfredo Abate is an Oracle ACE Pro working as an Oracle DBA since 1999 and an Oracle Applications DBA since 2006. In addition to being the current President of the Chicago Oracle Users Group (COUG), he is also the President of the Oracle MAA SIG. He has presented at COUG, NCOAUG, GLOC, OAUG, MOUS, and Collaborate. He currently works for a manufacturing company where he is responsible for and enjoys working with a full suite of Oracle technologies. In his spare time he loves spending time with his family, collecting vinyl records, and listening to music.
Tony has been active in the Oracle User Community since Oracle Version 5, held the position of President of the Chicago Oracle User Group for 17 years, and is currently an officer of the Midwest Oracle User Group and a former Director of the Independent Oracle User Group (IOUG).
He has over 30 years of database design experience including more than 20 with Oracle. He designed and implemented a complete database for Roman Incorporated, a wholesale giftware distributor, including Order Processing, Warehouse Management, Customer Relations, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Purchasing and Credit using pl/sql, Oracle Forms and for the last five years Oracle Application Express. This accomplishment earned him the title of Oracle HTML-DB Developer of the Year in 2005.
His goal is to continue to use his skills to build quality applications for user communities of all types and sizes while sharing his experience with others through his activity in the IOUG.
