Founded in 1994 by Marla Acton, who, after ten years of billing experience, realized the need for a billing system that was easy to learn, efficient to use, and affordable. As CEO of Easy Billing Inc. Marla Acton, along with Easy Billing software developers, undertook to meet the evolving needs of current users and to ensure that the program remains on the leading edge of the medical billing industry. The company's decision, in 1997, to merge with pathology LIS software allowed Easy Billing to evolve into high volume users. This further allowed for the development of the HL7 medical interface with EHR and other LIS pathology programs. The newest Federally required CMS-1500 Form is used as well as ICD-10 and the most current 5010 electronic submission protocol. A hallmark of the Easy Billing is its emphasis on providing excellent customer support and training.
