ADRIAN KENNETT - Chairman

Adrian is a Director at Dalriada Trustees Limited, one of the UK's largest independent pension trusteeship companies. He started working on defined benefit pensions in 1993 and has been a professional pension trustee since 2000. A Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute and an Accredited Professional Pension Trustee, he is highly experienced in the management and governance of defined benefit schemes, and chairs the Trustee Board. He is a frequent commentator in the pensions press on all aspects relating to pension trusteeship.

CLIVE HEATH

Clive retired from Caterpillar Financial, which is the leasing arm of Caterpillar Inc, in 2019 after 38 years. He worked on three continents in Europe, USA and Asia and held various senior management positions. He was the global head of Risk Management based in Nashville, Tennessee, USA and has extensive experience in the sales, credit, portfolio and finance departments and was also responsible for strategic planning and execution of key projects. Clive is married to Julie who was very supportive while working overseas for 20 years. In his spare time Clive enjoys walking, entertaining friends and family and is a keen Liverpool FC supporter!

LAURENCE DOBNEY

Laurence has been a Company Nominated Trustee since 2014. Prior to that, he was employed as the Pension Finance Manager of the Scheme for nearly 25 years until taking early retirement in 2012. Laurence is a qualified accountant. Amongst other skills he brings to the Trustee Board, his strengths relate to controls and investments, ensuring an acceptable level of return is achieved by the Plan's assets without taking unnecessary risks. His focus is on ensuring the assets are secure at all times.

LISA RODGERS

A Trustee since 2009, Lisa is currently EAME Tax Reporting Manager within the Caterpillar Global Tax & Trade group. She has worked at Caterpillar and within the tax group in different roles since February 2002. Before joining Caterpillar, Lisa worked in the tax departments of two of the Big 4 firms of accountants, Ernst & Young and Andersen. She has a degree in Classics from Cambridge University. She has a young daughter who ensures she has no free time outside of work!

PETE MOULAND

Before his retirement, Pete worked as an engineer within the development engineering part of the Shrewsbury site, where he was employed for over 38 years, having started as an apprentice in an electronics maintenance role. He has served on the LAC / RBLC since 1999, which he currently chairs for the West of England, and has been a Trustee since 2002. Outside of work, Pete spends his free time hill walking and metal detecting. (Although he has found nothing of value yet, he lives in hope!)

ROGER HAGAN

Roger took early retirement in 2020 after completing 40 years' service for the company, at Caterpillar Wolverhampton and Leicester in varied Quality, Production and Supply Chain roles. Roger also chaired the Wolverhampton Pensions LAC for several years. He is a keen runner, having completed 4 London marathons and enjoys playing golf and reading, along with volunteering at the local Salvation Army.

ZEDRA INSIDE PENSIONS

In May 2020 the DB Trustees also appointed Zedra Inside Pensions. Zedra Inside Pensions is a specialist provider of executive and governance support to over 50 UK pension schemes, having been established in 2008. The Caterpillar Team is Rachael Fortescue, Judith Codling, Lucy Blanchard-Burton and Chloe Taylor. Together they have nearly 75 years of pensions experience which means they are able to help the Trustee to govern the Plan and make decisions for the benefit of the Plan's members.
