Andrew McLaughlin Major

Andrew McLaughlin is the VP Legal Affairs, General Counsel and ESG Lead at Major Drilling Group International. In 2018, he was named a Lexpert Rising Star for leading Canadian lawyers under 40, and selected as an Emerging Canadian Leader by the Banff Forum. He previously served as a diplomat at the Canadian embassies in Havana and Mexico City. Andrew is a co-founder and director of Casa Canada Cuba, a federally incorporated not-for-profit organization aimed at establishing a dedicated Canada-Cuba cultural center in the heart of Havana's historic old city. With senior-level experience in government, non-profit, and corporate sectors, ONB's leadership team create a welcoming and attractive environment where local and international business can flourish.

Barry Kyle

Barry has been the President and CEO of Industrial Rubber for over 40 years with that primary company developing rubber-molded and protective rubber and ceramic coating products via processes that meet industry needs for sectors including mining, forestry, and defence. The business has clients in more than 15 countries in North and South America, Scandinavia, Western Europe, the Caribbean, and the Middle East. Within the last 10 years, Barry became President of FFG Canada Ltd. and, under a partnership with a leading German defence contractor, set up a manufacturing plant in Bathurst. Barry was awarded Top CEO for Atlantic Canada five times by Atlantic Business Magazine and has also been inducted into the New Brunswick Business Hall of Fame. He has been on the Board at Mount Allison University for seven years and was Board Chair at the Port of Belledune for three years and a director for six years. Barry is currently a member of the New Brunswick Business Council and is involved with several New Brunswick charities and non-profits.

Cade Libby

Cade Libby is a graduate from the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Forestry (Class of 1999). After graduation, Cade was employed by the New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and worked within the department for the next 17 years. During this time, Cade held a variety of positions including manager and director roles. He also received Lean Six Sigma black belt training during this timeframe. Cade joined the Regional Development Corporation in early 2017, where he held the positions of director and then Vice-President of the Development Division. In November 2019, Cade was appointed as Acting President of the Regional Development Corporation and Acting Deputy Minister of the Department of Aboriginal Affairs. In September 2020, Cade was appointed as President of the Regional Development Corporation, Deputy Minister of Aboriginal Affairs (now known as the Department of Indigenous Affairs) and Deputy Minister of the Department of Intergovernmental Affairs which includes Francophonie and Official Languages. Cade was also Deputy Minister of Environment & Climate Change for approximately 2 years during this time. Cade and his wife Jayne live in Waasis, New Brunswick and have two children (Austen and Summer). Cade enjoys spending his free time in the great outdoors.

Carolyn McCormack

A bilingual communications and human resources professional, Carolyn McCormack is the Vice President of People & Communications. Carolyn first joined ONB in 2015 as Director of Communications and later as Director of Employee Experience. Carolyn has held challenging and rewarding roles for the past two decades in various sectors, including consumer packaged goods/manufacturing, professional services, healthcare, retail, and economic development, including Federal and provincial government leadership positions in Ontario, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. Most recently, she obtained a Diploma in Human Resources Management from Ashton College and graduated from the University of New Brunswick's Human Resources Management Program. She holds national professional designations in human resources (CPHR), communications & advertising (CAAP) and public relations (APR). An active volunteer in her community, Carolyn also serves on the Board of the local chapter of the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS).

Gilles Cormier

Gilles brings with him a wealth of accomplishments, including over ten years in academic leadership positions both in Canada and abroad. For 22 years he worked for Université de Moncton, with five of those years as Dean of Engineering. He is also a former Dean of Engineering at Alfaisal University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he established its inaugural College of Engineering advisory board. He was previously the Dean of Engineering and Acting Chief Academic Officer at the American University of the Middle East in Kuwait. He is now self-employed as an Industrial Engineering and Educational Consultant.

Gordie Lavoie

Gordie Lavoie worked in various roles in Sunny Corner Enterprises Inc. for 32 years, 16 of those as the CEO and President. After semi-retiring in 2023 he continues to serve as a director with the company. During his tenure, he played an active role in strategic planning for the company, positioning Sunny Corner as a regional leader in the Construction, Manufacturing, Industrial Supply and Rental businesses. Over the years Mr. Lavoie has been a member of the New Brunswick Business Council and participated in many boards and committees in the Miramichi area. He was inducted into the NB Business Hall of Fame in 2018.

Jim Baumgartner

Baumgartner is a financial services industry expert with more than 29 years of experience in the payments industry. As CEO and president of Moneris Solutions Corporation since 2001, he has helped the company become one of North America's largest providers of payment processing solutions, with more than 350,000 merchant locations generating close to three billion transactions annually. He joined Moneris from J.P. Morgan Chase's Commercial Payments Systems business, of which he was president. At J.P. Morgan Chase, he grew a startup business into one of the world's largest commercial card issuers. Prior to that, he was president of US Bancorp's Commercial Payments Business. At US Bank, he grew the startup commercial card business into the largest issuer of corporate and purchasing cards in the world, in addition to driving the Merchant Processing Business to become the sixth largest acquirer in the United States. A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, he was also senior manager with Ernst & Young where he focused on the financial services industry. In 1999, he was named one of the 25 most influential executives by Business Travel News. In addition, he was called one of American Banker's 10 most admired leaders in the bank card business and in 2005 was designated as the Electronic Transaction Association's Member of the Year. A Canadian and American citizen, he is a native of Minneapolis.

Kathryn Cameron

Kathryn is one of New Brunswick's top technology entrepreneurial leaders, joining Beauceron Security in 2017 as the second full-time employee, and quickly rising to become their Chief Operating Officer. In 2018, she led Beauceron Security's participation in Cylon; the world's top early-stage cybersecurity accelerator centered in the United Kingdom. Kathryn has worked hand-in-hand with clients to develop people-focused cybersecurity cultures that dramatically reduce risk and improve organizational resilience. As Chief Operating Officer, Kathryn leads Beauceron Security's go-to-market teams in sales, marketing, product, and delivery. Under her leadership, Beauceron Security's annual revenue has grown over 10-fold, from $300,000 to more than $3.4 million, and now has more than 600 customers worldwide. Kathryn is an alumnus of Venture for Canada and a member of the Wallace McCain Institute. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce, with a minor in Mathematics, from Mount Allison University. As a proud New Brunswicker, Kathryn loves creating meaningful employment opportunities in her home province with a guiding focus on diversity, equality, and inclusion, for which Beauceron Security has received recognition.

Matthew Fox - CFO

Matthew Fox is ONB's Chief Financial Officer. Matthew brings with him a wealth of international experience as an advisor for corporations on strategic and corporate financial services. He has a project finance and acquisition transaction history exceeding $1 billion spanning five countries. He has held notable roles including Chief Strategy Officer for York Power Corporation and Investment Specialist for CIBC World Markets. Matthew is an active volunteer within his community. He served as President of his local minor hockey association for 8 years and was an active coach for over 10 years. Matthew has served on many community boards in Ontario and New Brunswick and is currently a board member with Destination Nackawic Economic Development Corporation. Matthew studied business with a concentration in accounting and finance at UNB. He is also a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Chartered Canadian Investment Manager.

Michael J. Campbell - Chairman

Campbell is vice-president, general counsel and secretary of McCain Foods Ltd. He joined McCain Foods in 1991. He obtained both his bachelor's degree in communications (1971) and his bachelor's degree in law (1974) from Queen's University. He was admitted to the Ontario bar in 1974 and the New Brunswick bar in 2009. Before joining McCain Foods, he was an associate with Blake, Cassels & Graydon, a partner at Perry, Farley & Onyschuk, and an associate partner at Kingsmill Jennings. He is a former chair of the New Brunswick Museum and past president and director of the Metropolitan Toronto Association of Community Living. He is a director of the Community Industries Employment Vocational Association in Woodstock and a member of the Canadian Red Cross Society Pension Committee. He is also a director and chair of Special Olympics New Brunswick, as well as a director and vice-chair for Homestead Land Holdings Ltd. in Kingston, Ont. and chair of its audit committee.

With significant experience in strategic and business planning across a variety of industries and more than a decade of economic development experience, Traci has a solid understanding of how the public and private sectors intersect. She is a strategy-focused senior leader with a passion for driving economic growth in New Brunswick and building the strong team required to make it a reality. Under her leadership, ONB has been recognized annually for its award-winning culture. Traci has an MBA from the University of New Brunswick and served as a Past Chair for the Fredericton Community Foundation.
