PINEWOOD LAKE PORPOISES

The Pinewood Lake Porpoises Swim Team is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) youth summer swim team. We seek to empower the children of our diverse community to learn and enjoy the lifelong sport of swimming, including all of the health and emotional benefits that come from participating in team sports. We strive to help our team members learn the values of hard work, sportsmanship, self-discipline, and leadership as they grow in confidence and ability. We operate from the perspective that swimming should be accessible to all, regardless of race, income, or ability... The Pinewood Lake Porpoises compete in Division 17 of the Northern Virginia Swimming League (NVSL). We are located in Alexandria, in southeast Fairfax County.
