A massive ‘maith sibh' to Ella, Emma, Olivia & Róisín (céilí dancing), Steven (solo singing), Faith (recitation), Alice, Aniela, Milena & Sarah (ballad group). They all danced, sang and acted so well that St. Paul's finished in 5th place overall. We also made the top 5 in 3 of the competitions with Steven and Faith finishing 4th & 5th respectively. The icing on the cake was Ella, Ema, Olivia & Róisín being crowned county champions in the céilí dancing - the first Sór na bPáistí title the school has won. The excitement was fierce... The Márie Rua Award is an award which celebrates the work and contribution made by our former teacher, Mrs McNamara for her many years teaching in St. Paul's school. Mrs McNamara passed away in 2008 and left a wonderful legacy of kindness and friendship which we strive to instil and encourage in all our pupils here in St. Paul's. We remember also our colleagues Rita Lavelle (SNA) and Sheila O'Shea (Teacher) at this time also.
