Ayesha Aziz Khan is our Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer and was appointed to our Board on 22 July 2016. Ms Khan has extensive experience in the power sector of the country, specifically in the financial management of power generation companies. In her career, she has led in the financial management of multiple power projects. She was a Director of Finance Management of Summit Power Limited from 2003 to 2005, a Director of Summit Prakasa Asia Pte Ltd from 2004 to 2017, a Director of Summit Infrastructures Pte Ltd from 2005 to 2017, and a Finance Director of Summit Power Limited from 2007 to 2011. From 2011 to 2016, she was also the Group Finance Director of Summit Corporation Limited Ms Khan is currently also a non-executive director in several companies of Summit Group. She is also a member of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and Singapore International Chamber of Commerce. Ms Khan graduated with a Bachelor in Economics and Business from the University College of London in 2003 and Masters in Business Administration from the Columbia University in 2007.

Dr Adeeba Aziz Khan is our Director. She is a Barrister-at-Law and also an Advocate of the Dhaka Bar. She completed her LLB from the London School of Economic and Political Science and received her Masters and PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies. She is currently a Junior Research Fellow at Wolfson College, University of Cambridge and an affiliated scholar of the Centre of South Asian Studies, University of Cambridge. Faisal Khan is the Director of Summit Power International and Managing Director of Summit Corporation. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of all companies under Summit Group. Mr. Khan was instrumental in the development of over 2,000 MW power plants and LNG FSRU projects in the past decade. Faisal Khan is currently serving as the President of Bangladesh Independent Power Producers' Association (BIPPA). Previously, Mr. Khan served as the Chairman of Bangladesh's National Standing Committee for National Energy Strategy for Private Sector Development and also as the Co-Convener of National Standing Committee for Energy & Power Sector at Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industries (DCCI). Mr. Khan was also elected as a Director of Bangladesh-China Chamber of Commerce and as a Member of the Executive Committee of Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Company (BAPLC). Izumi Kai is the CEO of JERA Asia, as well as the Managing Executive Officer and Head of Platform Business Division, JERA Co., Inc. Previously, he was the President of JERA Energy America, which procures natural gas and power for LNG production and export. In 2016, he joined the Tokyo-based global energy company JERA Co. that produces about 30% of all electricity in Japan. Mr Kai established JERA's LNG optimization and trading platform globally. He was appointed Head of Freeport LNG Business, Senior Vice President of JERA Americas in 2019, and Chief Strategy Officer in 2021. Mr Kai began his career as a civil engineer at Tokyo Electric Power Company and has more than 25 years of corporate and business development experience in Japan, Malaysia, Australia and the U.S. He has led JERA Americas' USD 2.5 billion acquisition of a 25.7% interest in the Freeport LNG from the Global Infrastructure Partners in 2022. Mr Kai graduated with a Bachelor in Civil Engineering and holds an MBA in Global Management from the Arizona State University's Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Mr. Latif Khan was born 1958 in Dhaka. He pursued BA in Public Administration at Dhaka University, and subsequently left for higher studies to the U.S. in 1981. There, he worked for over 15 years in the financial sector. As a stockbroker and a financial analyst at Prudential Insurance of America where he received numerous sales achievement awards. He also worked as a Financial Officer at Wells Fargo Bank in California. He returned to Bangladesh in 1997 and thereof joined Summit Group as the Managing Director of Summit Shipping Limited (subsequently renamed as Summit Oil & Shipping Co. Ltd.). He has been elected Vice-Chairman of Summit Power Limited (SPL) since 2009. He is the former President of Bangladesh Independent Power Producers' Association (BIPPA) for two consecutive terms (2015-2019). He is also a member of Board of Governors of Bangladesh Power Management Institute (BPMI) since 2017.

Ms Azeeza Aziz Khan is a qualified Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business from University College London. Upon graduation Ms Khan worked briefly in private equity and wealth management at Bank of America-Merrill Lynch before moving back to Bangladesh to join Summit group as a Director. Ms Khan spent her initial years gaining a deeper understanding about Summit's core business, with a strong focus on finance and internal audit controls, in line with her educational background. In order to better serve as a director of Summit Group, she has taken on and completed project finance training at IDCOL and Leadership, Innovation and Strategy (LIS) program from General Electric in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Since 2011, she has also been a key contributor to the establishment of Summit's CSR charter and driver of the group's CSR activities and currently sits on the distinguished board of SEID Trust, non-government voluntary development organization working for social inclusion and promoting rights of underprivileged children with disabilities including intellectual and multiple disabilities as well as autism since 2003. She currently works with the audit committee and CSR committee at Summit which ensures that the group adherence to corporate governance and best practices. Her long term goal at Summit is to ensure that as an organisation it has a strategic road map for the near, medium and long term and to spearhead it's business development.

Muhammed Aziz Khan, PBM is the founder and Chairman of Summit Power International Limited and Summit Holdings Ltd. Summit Group is the largest infrastructure conglomerate in Bangladesh and employs over 6,000 people. The Group has investments in the energy sector, ports, logistics, and information technology. Under the leadership of Muhammed Aziz Khan, Summit set up the first Independent Power Plant in Bangladesh in 1998, Khulna Power Company Limited (KPCL). Summit and associated companies own and operate a total of 20 power plants in operation with a total capacity of 3,000 megawatts (MW). Further it owns and operates a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) and LNG import terminal with a capacity of 500 mmcf/d in Moheskhali, Cox's Bazar. Beyond the energy sector, Summit is also actively involved in the development of vital infrastructure underpinning Bangladesh's economic development. Summit has set up Bangladesh's first private off-dock port facility, Summit Alliance Ports Limited which handles about 25% of Bangladesh's export volume and about 7% of the country's import volume. Summit Communications Limited is the first company to lay a Bangladesh-wide fibre-optic transmission network. Summit Communication Limited's fibre optic cables cover the entirety of Bangladesh, with over 53,000 kilometres of laid fibre. The company also connects Bangladesh to India through terrestrial fibre optics and SEA-ME-WE-4 and SEA-ME-WE5 to Singapore and Europe. The company is in the process of laying its own submarine cable between Bangladesh and Singapore. Muhammed Aziz Khan was born in 1955. He has an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka. Mr. Khan is the Chairman of Siraj Khaleda Trust, Anjuman & Aziz Charitable Trust (AACT), Member of the Board of Trustees of Asian University of Women (AUW) and the Founding President of the Prothom Alo Trust, where he continues to serve as a Trustee Member. He was also the founding President of Bangladesh Scouts Foundation, former President of Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Companies (BAPLC), and Bangladesh Energy Companies' Association (BECA). Muhammed Aziz Khan is the Honorary Consul General of Finland to Bangladesh. He is married to Anjuman Aziz Khan and is the father to three daughters, Ayesha, Adeeba and Azeeza.

Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu

Mr Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu was appointed to the Board on 2nd January 2023. He is a renowned parliamentarian of India and currently serving as the Chairman of the Drafting Committee for the National Cooperation Policy of India, visiting Professor at the London School of Economics and Founding Chancellor of Rishihood University. By education he is an accomplished Chartered Accountant with ICAI, holds a LLB degree of Commerce (Honours). Previously, Mr. Suresh Prabhu held ten important cabinet positions at the federal level of the Government of India including the ministries of Industry, Power, Environment & Forest, Railway, Civil Aviation, Commerce & Industry and Fertilisers & Chemicals. He has been in the Indian Parliament since 1996, initially as a Member of Parliament in the Lower House (Lok Sabha) during four consecutive terms and later as a MP in the Upper House (Rajya Sabha). He is known for out-of-the-box thinking and was credited for many reforms. One of the most notable achievements of Mr Prabhu was the reforms he brought in the Indian power sector. He is credited with championing and enacting the ‘Electricity Act of 2003' and for creating securitization of dues from the provincial states of India. More recently, he was involved in shaping the official agenda of the Government of India and acted as the Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Sherpa on key issues at the G7 and G20 summits. He has also contributed to the society globally as the Chairman of Asia Energy Foundation, South-Asia Chair of Global Water Partnership and President of the World Forum for Global Governance. He has also been a member of the UN's Commission for Biodiversity and Land-use Change, and the Global Advisory Council of the World Economic Forum. Mr Suresh Prabhu continues to pursue his academic passion as a PhD student of Climate Change and State Public Finance.

Tang Kin Fei was appointed as our Independent Director on 1 November 2017. Mr Tang is currently the Chairman and Independent Director of SIA Engineering Limited. He was previously with Sembcorp Industries Ltd ("Sembcorp") for approximately 30 years before retiring at the end of March 2017, his last held position being Group President and CEO of Sembcorp. He remained as an advisor and as a non-executive Director on the Board of Sembcorp until end of May 2017. Prior to his appointment as Group president and CEO of Sembcorp, Mr Tang headed Sembcorp's utilities business and expanded the business into a global energy and water player. Before joining Sembcorp, he was at Wescon Asia from 1978 to 1987, his last held position being its Managing Director, and a project engineer in Esso Singapore from 1976 to 1978. Mr Tang is also the chairman of Singapore LNG Corporation and a Director of Singapore Cooperation Enterprise. He is a council member of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He sits on the Board of the National Research Foundation as well as the Defence Science and Technology Agency of Singapore. Mr Tang is also the Chairman of Ngee Ann Polytechnic Council. Additionally, he is the Vice Chairman of the Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital, a charitable hospital which provides care for elderly and needy patients in Singapore. Mr Tang graduated from the University of Singapore with a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering (First Class Honours) in 1974. In 2000, he completed an Advanced Management Programme in INSEAD, France.

Toshiro Kudama

Toshiro Kudama is the Vice-Chairman of the Board of JERA Asia Pte. Ltd, where he previously served as CEO of JERA Asia. He is currently also the Head of Asia Pacific Operations at JERA Co. Inc, covering the rapidly growing markets of APAC region . Mr. Kudama started his professional career at Tokyo Electric Power Co., Inc. (TEPCO) in 1982. Since then, he has been a steady and active player on the global energy scene, with an extensive and excellent track record at TEPCO's Washington D.C. office and global organisations including the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the International Energy Agency (IEA) in Paris. Maximising his engineering background and international management skills, Mr. Kudama led TEPCO's overseas businesses in executive positions in the International Affairs Department for decades. In 2016, he joined JERA and took the post of Chief Power Development Officer and Senior Executive Vice President in charge of diverse energy projects including offshore wind power, LNG liquification, and state-of-the-art storage battery projects in different markets. Until now, he has engaged in investments in 30 projects in 14 countries totaling USD 3 billion. Mr. Kudama served as CEO of JERA Americas from 2018 to 2019. He currently resides in Singapore. Mr. Kudama has a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Graduate School of Tokyo Institute of Technology. He received the Outstanding Paper Award from the Japan Precision Engineering Academy in 1983.
