Amanda Garner

Amanda's passion is creating effective marketing and communications programs for the clients she serves. She leads the Outsourced Marketing Division of The Growth Partnership, and has worked with TGP since 2002. In addition to professional services marketing, Amanda's background includes years working with various media outlets as a producer and on-air talent. Most notably, her job history includes a one-year production role at NBC's "Meet the Press." With over a decade of experience in marketing and communications training and implementation, Amanda is devoted to helping accounting firms establish best practice marketing activities. Providing internal training for the clients she serves and as a frequent speaker for industry association conferences, Amanda receives consistent high-marks as a presenter. She offers useful tools in an entertaining and motivating fashion, helping her audiences to tune in and turn on. Amanda lives in Carlisle, Pennsylvania with her son, Gavin. She loves spending time outdoors, hiking, canoeing, and teaching swing dance. She is also an avid traveler and has explored some pretty exotic locations including Chiang Mai, Thailand, the island of Crete in Greece, Belize, Spain, and the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador. Charles Hylan - Shareholder

Charles joined The Growth Partnership as a Shareholder after dedicating 12 years consulting with, and working in, accounting firms ranging from sole-practitioners to National and Big 5 firms. During this time, Charles spent more than eight years working at Price Waterhouse and Arthur Andersen where he began his career as an auditor before transitioning into a strategic planning and marketing role. Charles entered the accounting consulting industry in 1999 as a Vice President in the Consulting Services division of Waugh & Co. As a shareholder, Charles' passion is to help each client succeed as a business owner. To this end, he is a trusted advisor to clients within several areas of TGP's service offerings, including marketing, strategic planning, partner compensation, partner buy-in/out, partner succession and leadership development. Charles works closely with TGP clients to create high-impact marketing plans focused on implementation. As a practice management consultant, he draws upon his practical, "can-do" approach to help firms create and execute long-term plans, effective compensation systems and realistic succession strategies. On the leadership development side of TGP, Charles facilitates several different training offerings that equip partners and future partners with the skills needed to successfully manage and lead their firm. Finally, Charles leads the efforts on bringing The Rosenberg Survey, a benchmark report comparing over 100 metrics across nearly 400 firms, to the accounting marketplace. No matter what service Charles is providing, his passion is to help TGP clients succeed as business owners. Charles is an inspiration to clients due to his unique ability to focus on implementation…the only true way to bring about change. Charles has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in the accounting profession by Accounting Today and has written articles featured in various accounting publications and has spoken at many accounting firms, associations and other industry meetings and conferences.

Karen Durkin

Lynn Prange

Lynn Prange joined The Growth Partnership (TGP) in 2007 and worked diligently, climbing the ranks from Administrative Assistant to her current role, Lead Generation Services & Training Manager. In this role, Lynn builds lasting client relationships by providing white-glove experiences for our classroom learners - and delivering measurable results in lead generation. Event planning has long been an interest of Lynn's-prior to joining TGP she spent time working in the hospitality industry. She has a natural flare for executing the smallest details while always keeping the big picture in mind. These traits made joining the TGP training team in 2008 an easy decision. She now leads the learning/training department. In this role, Lynn makes sure that every learning event - whether virtual or in person - is positioned to deliver an incredible experience for the learners. In addition to her work with our training functions, Lynn serves as TGP's Lead Generation Services Manager. She took on this new leadership role in 2017, after working closely with her predecessor for several years. Lynn's vast knowledge of department processes and procedures have allowed her to streamline and benchmark our lead generation efforts on clients' behalf. She proactively communicates with clients on their business development campaigns beginning with campaign kick-off meetings and continuing with detailed monthly reports. Raised in a small town outside of St. Louis, Missouri, Lynn continues to reside there, now with her husband and their two children. In addition to spending time with her family, Lynn enjoys working out, cooking and baking, and planning family events on a budget. Patrick Patterson

Patrick is a Performance/Process Guide & "Facilitator Extraordinaire" with more than 25 years of experience in people and process development. Participants consistently rate energy, enthusiasm, skill and insight as hallmarks of his presentations. He brings expertise in the areas of: professional services sales & marketing leadership development with world class program partners such as Franklin Covey Company quality and continuous improvement initiatives Patrick leads and coaches groups for The Growth Partnership's CRoPs Practicum and serves on their facilitation team. Patrick's background includes more than 18 years training & coaching in the accounting industry across North America. He served eight years in University Continuous Improvement at Arizona State University and three years as a training and development consultant for hotel resorts in Nevada and Arizona. He was on the faculty of a Fortune 100 Company for 8 years. Patrick is an Arizona native. He was born in the Valley of the Sun and raised in Northern Arizona. He attended Mesa Community College for two years before serving 18 months as a church volunteer in the Dallas/North Texas area. Patrick currently resides in Gilbert with his wife Kristina. They have three sons, Jon, Cole & Adam, and a daughter Jessie.

Sara Huddleston

Sara joined The Growth Partnership in February 2021 as the Director of Learning and Development after spending nearly 15 years serving as the Director of Human Resources for a public accounting firm. Prior to that role she held HR management roles in the fashion and education industries in New York City. With 20 years of HR experience, Sara is able to provide clients with support and guidance to deepen their understanding of the ever-evolving needs inherent in developing human capital. She is knowledgeable about the demands facing people in the profession of public accounting, and draws upon her experience to highlight the possibilities for innovation. Sara is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in German and Communication Studies. She earned her Master of Education at Vanderbilt University's Peabody School of Education, where she focused on adult learning and human resource development. Sara completed her Business Coaching certification through North Carolina State University. She also holds her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) designations.
