We believe that access to powerful devices is a great starting point for transformative teaching and learning. The real instructional value comes as those devices become powerful tools in a teacher's toolkit for personalizing learning for our students. After the passing of the levy, we spent the 2015-2016 school year diving deeper into the vision of Personalized Learning and how to bring these learning experiences to students. Since this work began, we have been incorporating personalized learning training into our professional development for staff which is still ongoing. We believe that each student that enters our classrooms comes with a unique background, needs, and interests. We want all students to be engaged through personalized learning experiences and a culturally relevant curriculum that leads to student growth and achievement...
