Alberto Alonzo

Alberto has over 25 years of experience in the energy, infrastructure and financial sectors, with extensive multi-billion dollar project finance and development experience in Mexico working with investors and government stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success. Alberto Co-Founded Ardinall Investment Management which holds investments in energy and infrastructure markets in Mexico and Latin America and established distinguished relationships with key Mexican and U.S. Government officials. Prior to that, he was co-head of the Energy Opportunities Fund at Goldman Sachs, an $8B private equity fund focusing on opportunities in the Mexican energy sector. Earlier in his career, Alberto worked at Baseline Partners, a firm dedicated to private equity investing in emerging markets where he led the energy and infrastructure practice. Prior to Baseline, he worked in the Investment Banking Division of Merrill Lynch, primarily focused on advisory and capital raising engagements with energy and industrial clients. Alberto earned an industrial and systems engineering degree from ITESM and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Chuck Davidson - Chairman

Chuck is a Partner at Quantum and a member of Quantum's Investment Committee. Prior to joining Quantum, Chuck served as CEO of Noble Energy from 2000 to 2014 and its Chairman until his retirement in May of 2015. Under Chuck's leadership, Noble Energy was transformed into one of the largest and best performing E&P companies with world-class positions in resource plays such as the Niobrara and Marcellus, as well as multiple international concessions. Before joining Noble Energy, Chuck was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vastar Resources, Inc. Prior to Vastar, he held a number of engineering, operations, and executive assignments at ARCO. Chuck is currently an independent director of Loews Corporation (NYSE: L) and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and the All-American Wildcatters. Chuck holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from Purdue University and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Dallas.

David Waterfield - CHRO

David has 20 years of HR leadership experience in the international energy sector including roles in public energy companies, service providers and consultancies. David has overseen organizational design, workforce development and people strategies, resulting in the successful build out of large and diverse teams from initial development stages through to operational facilities. For the last 10 years, David has worked on the execution and operations phases of multiple major LNG projects on the US Gulf Coast and served in a senior HR capacity for NextDecade where he led personnel planning across the project development and pre-FID phase for Rio Grande LNG. His early career was spent leading HR operations across Europe, Middle East and Africa before moving to the US in 2014 to focus on the North American LNG sector. David studied Aerospace Business Systems at the University of Salford in the United Kingdom.

Erwin Reyes

Erwin has over 25 years of international energy construction and project management experience, specializing in LNG projects with a proven track record of safely delivering and optimizing LNG facilities on time and on budget. Prior to joining Mexico Pacific, Erwin held key leadership roles at McDermott, one of the leading EPCs in the LNG industry. Erwin worked directly on and played a key role in the engineering design, fabrication, construction and delivery of Golden Pass (under construction), Cameron LNG, Gorgon LNG, Peru LNG, Grain LNG and Nigeria LNG for McDermott. He oversaw all construction and fabrication activities across their North, Central and South America (NCSA) region, which included direct fabrication and construction experience in Mexico. Erwin received his mechanical engineering degree from Universidad Simon Bolivar, holds an MBA from Instituto de Empresa, and attended the Project Management Academy at Rice University.

Ivan Van der Walt - CEO

Ivan has over 30 years of international LNG and energy leadership experience including roles as CEO and COO of public energy companies. Recently he served as Chief Operating Officer of Next Decade, where he developed the Rio Grande LNG project and established the NEXT Carbon Solutions business. Prior to that, Ivan held leadership positions at Cameron LNG, Gorgon LNG, Northwest Shelf LNG, Pluto LNG and Darwin LNG. He has overseen the successful design, construction and start-up of over 12 LNG trains representing 61 mtpa of LNG production and multiple international pipelines. Prior to joining Mexico Pacific in 2022, Ivan served as an operating partner at Quantum Energy Partners, the controlling stakeholder of Mexico Pacific. His earlier career centered on international EPC and mega project delivery, overseeing the design, permitting, and construction of projects ranging from $10 to $65 billion across the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors with a particular focus on LNG projects in challenging international environments. He is a co-author of multiple patents covering LNG processing, power generation, carbon capture, CO² storage, and hydrogen generation and utilization. Ivan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology.

John O'Beirne

John has over 40 years of experience in pipeline and facilities project development, construction management and operations, the past 21 years of which have been focused on Mexico. John has successfully managed the construction and delivery of over 50,000 km of pipelines across multiple challenging jurisdictions and environments, managing design, right of way acquisitions, permitting, construction and operations. Prior to joining Mexico Pacific, John held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Monterra Energy where he was responsible for leading the permitting, development, and execution of the largest privately owned clean fuels storage terminal in Mexico. Prior to that, John held key leadership roles at TC Energy, El Paso, GDF Suez Mexico and Gasoductos de Chihuahua (PEMEX JV), overseeing engineering, procurement, construction and operating activities across major pipelines and terminals in Mexico, including the Mayakan, San Fernando, Ramones and Gasoductos de Bajio pipelines. He received his engineering degree in University College Dublin, and a Masters of Engineering from the University of Toronto.

Jose Luis Vitagliano - VP

Jose Luis has over 20 years of experience at executive levels in the Mexican energy sector, with deep ‘concept to operations' knowledge, having delivered over $4B of infrastructure projects. Prior to Mexico Pacific, Jose Luis was the Managing Director of Terminal de LNG de Altamira, one of Mexico's 3 LNG import terminals, where he oversaw terminal operations and developed new regulated services for the company, including small and large scale LNG reloads and trucking. Previously, Jose Luis served as Head of Mexico at Baker Hughes, where he was accountable for strategy and business development within Mexico. Prior to that, Jose Luis was the CEO of Gasoductos de Chihuahua, a PEMEX and Sempra joint venture company, for 15 years joining upon foundation of the venture and building the business out to an enterprise worth over $3B. As CEO, Jose Luis was responsible for the development, financing and delivery of the San Fernando, Ramones 1 and Ramones 2N natural gas pipelines and LPG and ethane pipelines and terminals. Jose Luis received his industrial engineering degree from Universidad Panamericana and an MBA from Instituto Panamericano de Alta Direccion de Empresa.

Juan Manuel Delgado

Juan Manuel has over 30 years of strategic leadership and major projects experience in the oil and gas industry, including as Managing Director of Schlumberger Mexico and Central America where he was responsible for US$2.4bn of operating revenue. Prior to Mexico Pacific, Juan Manuel was the Country Director for German Oil and gas Operator WintershallDea, establishing the company's first operations in Mexico to ultimately build out a portfolio of oil and gas development and production fields, becoming the largest privately held oil and gas company in Mexico. Juan Manuel has carried out international assignments on major projects across North Africa, Algeria, Tunisia, Oman, Argentina, Chile, Mexico and the U.S. and recently served as Chair of the Mexican Association of Hydrocarbon Companies (AMEXHI) where he led key government and regulator engagement. ​ Juan Manuel received an engineering degree from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and an MBA from IMD, Switzerland.

Krysta De Lima - Chief Legal Officer, Secretary

Krysta has been a practicing corporate, energy and infrastructure transactional lawyer for nearly 30 years with extensive ‘concept to operations' LNG project development and transactional experience. Prior to Mexico Pacific, Krysta served as the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of NextDecade for 6 years, where she played a pivotal role in developing the Rio Grande LNG and Rio Bravo Pipeline projects and listing the company on the NASDAQ stock exchange. Prior to that, Krysta worked with Bechtel's Oil, Gas and Chemicals business unit in Houston where she was responsible for negotiating and delivering EPC and technology agreements across multiple LNG and resources mega projects. Prior to Bechtel, Krysta served for 12 years as Vice President, Legal, and Chief of Staff at BG Group, helping to establish and build BG's LNG business including advising on matters affecting the group's investment in Atlantic LNG and major upstream assets in Trinidad and Tobago. Krysta holds a Bachelor of Laws from Kings College, London, a Maitrise in French Law and a DESS (Masters) in European Law, both from the Université of Paris I (Panthéon Sorbonne). Krysta is an active member of the Law Society of England and Wales, and the State Bars of New York and Nevada.

Patrick Hughes

Patrick has nearly 20 years experience focused on energy infrastructure development and natural gas with proven delivery across government and regulatory markets. Prior to Mexico Pacific, Patrick was Managing Director at New Fortress Energy (NFE), where he facilitated engagement with senior government officials in the executive and legislative branches and led NFE's investor relations practice. Previously, Patrick held positions including Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, at NextDecade Corporation and Partner in the Investment Banking and Advisory group at Height Capital Markets. Prior to his financial services industry experience, Patrick facilitated projects in Middle Eastern countries for Washington-based strategic communications contractor, Lincoln Group and served as a case manager for business intelligence and corporate security firm, Corporate Risk International. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Economy and Mandarin Chinese from Georgetown University.

Sarah Bairstow - Chief Commercial Officer, President

Sarah Bairstow has 20 years of international LNG and energy projects leadership experience, including end-to-end commercial LNG project development. Sarah has successfully marketed and delivered LNG projects from concept through to operations and executed over US$140 billion of gas and LNG transactions. Prior to joining Mexico Pacific as a foundational executive team member in 2019, Sarah was the Head of Commercial LNG and Strategic Projects for the $18.5b Gladstone LNG Project, where she secured the long-term SPAs before building and running Gladstone LNG Project's commercial LNG business for close to a decade on behalf of project partners Santos, KOGAS, PETRONAS and Total. Sarah joined the project in its formative stage, playing a key role from concept through to operations, with direct involvement across the build out of permitting, EIS, joint ventures, gas markets, pipeline, terminal and port development, LNG markets, shipping, FID, operational readiness and operations. Prior to Gladstone LNG, Sarah was an energy projects lawyer with Ashurst working across multiple LNG projects, energy project development and M&A. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of International Business from Griffith University. She is a regular plenary speaker at keynote industry conferences and has been widely recognized across through industry awards platforms.

Sean O'Donnell - CFO, EVP

Sean has over 25 years of energy leadership experience as a strategic advisor, an operating company executive and a private equity investor. He has led the execution of over $30 billion of strategic transactions, debt and equity financings over his career. Prior to joining Mexico Pacific, Sean was a Partner and member of the Investment Committee at Quantum Energy Partners ("Quantum"), a $20 billion energy private equity firm and Mexico Pacific's controlling shareholder. At Quantum, Sean focused on equity and debt investments in the renewable power, LNG, CCUS and decarbonization sectors. He led Quantum's investment in Mexico Pacific as part of the firm's integrated decarbonization strategy of delivering US responsibly sourced natural gas to global energy markets. Sean also co-founded and served as President and Chief Financial Officer of Quantum Utility Generation, a Quantum backed portfolio company focused on the development and acquisition of thermal and renewable power plants. Sean led multiple non-recourse project financings and joint venture agreements in that role. Prior to joining Quantum, Sean was a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan were he had responsibility for the North American power and renewable sectors. Prior to his career with J.P. Morgan, he was an officer in the U.S. Navy. Sean earned an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania and holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from The Catholic University of America. Sean also serves on the board of St. Agnes Academy for girls in Houston.
