NORRIS ACADEMY

Our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) at Norris Academy is licensed for 63 beds to support residents with Special Needs in small, suite-style living spaces with an emphasis on developmentally-appropriate learning opportunities. Our therapeutic residential staff receives on-going training and supervision across different areas of medical and mental health topics to assist in best helping the residents and families that we serve. Our team of Master's-level clinical staff works hard to tailor each resident's treatment to create interventions that will meet their unique needs... Located 30 minutes north of Knoxville, Norris Academy offers comprehensive, holistic services to residents with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other Neurodevelopmental diagnoses. Residents in our program typically have co-occurring psychiatric diagnoses and neurodevelopmental diagnoses that have caused distress at home, at school or in the community.
