DNS is Domain Name System. It is a hierarchy system for managing domains that are connected to the internet. It is divided into parts called zones. Inside the zones, there are DNS records that serve various purposes, such as resolving domains, showing the address or hostname of services, and more... If you are new to the DNS, you will be surprised by the huge number of DNS record types. There are more than 50! You can use them to show that one domain is an alias to another, you can verify mail servers, use them to set service and its port, and many more.
