SAN DIEGO FINGERSTYLE GUITAR

Hi, I am Timothy Chen, the acoustic guitar teacher at Horizon Prep in Rancho Santa Fe since 2014 & at Chabad Hebrew Academy in Scripps Ranch since 2019 . I began learning how to play the guitar back in college during my sophomore summer break at UC Santa Barbara to help facilitate Intervarsity Christian Fellowship Bible study at my dorm - Fountainbleu... During that summer break back home in San Diego, I asked my worship leader to show me a few chords and the proper strumming patterns, Amazing Grace was the first song I learned... Shortly after that, I attended a 2-hour concert sponsored by Taylor Guitars where all the musicians played fingerpicking/classical style and it was so beautiful. I then enrolled in classical guitar classes at Mesa college to learn the basics and committed to learn this technique.
