New articles to the VLR are published consecutively as soon as they are ready for publication; they will then be added to the current volume's Table of Contents. The VLR allows open access to all of its contents, based on the assumption that unrestricted access to research works towards the establishment of a global network of scientific knowledge. All content is freely available without charge to the user or her/his institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
