Cathy O'Grady

Cathy is a highly experienced HR professional with over 20 years of experience in various industries. She has worked in-house for companies such as Tesco and Groupon, and has also served as an external advisor and consultant. In her current role, Cathy works with purpose-driven, scaling companies in Ireland and the USA, as well as coaching individuals. Cathy is passionate about the opportunities that the changing landscape of HR and the employee experience brings to organizations and the future of work. She believes that HR should be about enabling people to be their best in their roles and careers, and focuses on providing ongoing coaching and development to managers, as well as ensuring that employees have access to clear and transparent policies and processes, and the tools and training they need to succeed. She has been working with several WorkMatters clients on their Future of Work enablement programme.

Ciara Finnegan

Ciara Finnegan is an experienced Marketing Consultant having held senior roles as the Head of Marketing, Director of Growth and Marketing Director for companies including BlueBridge Technologies and Ammeon Ltd. She has broad business experience majoring in business development, marketing, and human resources in high growth B2B SaaS start-ups in the software, financial, telco, global medtech, and pharma industries. She has successfully completed large scale rebrand projects and set-up and grown offices in European locations. She operates in an agile mindset and enjoys solving problems and working with cross-functional teams. She is an expert in SaaS, SaMD, digital transformation, business strategy, marketing strategy, and agile methodology.

Deirdre Holland

Deirdre is an experienced HR professional with over 20 years of experience in various industries. She has worked with businesses across Ireland, the UK, Europe, and North America, and has developed significant expertise in managing projects related to recruitment, training, career and talent management, and the HR aspects of disposals and acquisitions. In her current work, Deirdre focuses on helping organizations build sustainable models for a hybrid working environment. She is passionate about helping employers take advantage of the opportunities that the future of work presents, and is committed to building strategies for retaining and recruiting talent in the future.

Dhananjaya Sharma

Dhananjaya (DJ) is a consultant at WorkMatters, works on projects in both the private and public sectors to establish their Hybrid and Sustainable Future of work Model. Before joining WorkMatters, DJ worked on market research, risk assessment, and business expansion/development strategy with various international organisations. He has a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a Master's degree in Renewable energy, where he was awarded a gold medal for his research and academics. He also has a Master's degree in Management consultancy and has completed certifications in Design Thinking, Agile HR, Management 3.0 Fundamentals, and Lean Change Management.

Fiona Farrell

Fiona Farrell is our Programme Manager with previous executive education experience as a Project Executive in the Irish Management Institute. She is skilled in stakeholder engagement and relationships, working with teams, learning & development, and management of multiple programmes. Fiona has worked successfully with clients across both private and public sector such as Enterprise Ireland, HSE, Musgrave Group and the Mater Private Hospital. Fiona has successfully managed accredited Diploma programmes in the areas of Leadership Development, HR, Marketing, Finance and Coaching, amongst others.

James Ryan

James is a highly experienced COO and CPO with a successful career in Human Resources. Originally trained in electronics engineering and software development, James found that his interests and aptitudes were better suited to engineering high-calibre teams and culture rather than creating the software and hardware itself. He has since focused on his two passions: people and technology. Over the past 20 years, he has recruited, coached, engaged, encouraged, motivated, retained, and rewarded some of the most talented digital professionals in the software, pharma, media and insurance industries. James continues to deepen his expertise in HR, constantly learning and driving people strategy in some of the most innovative companies. He has adapted his skills in agile project and programme management, originally developed in his technology management roles, and applied them to his HR, operations, and general management roles. Bringing a unique combination of technical expertise and sophisticated HR and leadership skills, James is a valuable asset to any company. Kevin Empey - Founder

Kevin has won several national and international awards for his work in the areas of employment policy, social entrepreneurship, and Future of Work research. He was the founder of Worklink, an internationally recognised not for profit, coaching and mentoring organisation and was named on the HR Most Influential Thinkers list in 2022.
