Graeme Southwick studied in London and the United States for two years and was made a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. On return to Australia in 1979 he was appointed consultant plastic surgeon at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute and the Alfred Hospital. Since 1979 Graeme Southwick has been associated with Monash University where he is Associate Professor involved in teaching and research. Experience Graeme Southwick has been in private practice as a plastic surgeon since 1979, and is currently director of The Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery which he established. He has published and lectured widely both in Australia and internationally on many aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery, especially in microsurgery, endoscopic (television controlled) surgery for brow rejuvenation, facelift and breast surgery. He is an Editorial Board member of the prestigious Aesthetic Surgery Journal published in the United States and a reviewer for other international plastic surgery journals. From 1997 to 2004, Graeme Southwick was a councillor for the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and elected President from 2002 to 2004. From 2004 until 2013 he also represented Australia as the National Secretary for The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Graeme Southwick is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, an Honorary Member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. In June 2004, Graeme Southwick was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia on the Queen's Birthday Honour List for service through the provision of immediate medical assistance to victims of the Bali Bombing, which occurred on the 12th October 2002; and the ASPS Medal 2019 - a medal awarded occasionally by the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons to a plastic surgeon for outstanding service to plastic surgery in Australia with only 10 having been awarded so far in 50 years.

Mr. Ritz then spent a year at St. Vincent's Hospital in Melbourne as a microsurgery research and hand fellow. From 1992 to 1995, Morris Ritz headed the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Baragwanath Hospital, while running his own private practice in South Africa. In 1997, Morris was appointed senior registrar at The Austin and Repatriation Medical Centre for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, after receiving a fellowship for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in plastic surgery. Morris Ritz has been awarded the Synthes Prize for best publication from the Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of Southern Africa and the Phyllis Knocker/Bradlow Award from The Colleges of Medicine of South Africa for the most distinguished graduate in academic excellence. Since then, he has been published and has presented extensively in Australia and overseas. Morris has a special interest in breast reconstruction, aesthetic surgery, microsurgery, hand surgery, and skin cancer surgery. Morris Ritz is a member of the Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of South Africa, the Society of Hand Surgery of South Africa, the Australian Medical Association, the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
