Amanda Hatter

Amanda Hatter established CompBen HR in 2002 in order to work as an independent reward consultant. In the twelve years prior to this she held a number of senior compensation, benefits and human resources roles in both Hewlett-Packard and Ford Motor Company. Amanda began her career in generalist human resources at Ford both in manufacturing and head office roles. She subsequently went on to specialise in compensation; working as both a UK and European Compensation Consultant for Hewlett-Packard, then as their European Benefits Manager and most recently as their UK Compensation and Benefits/Reward Manager. conducting a review of reward and performance management practices at a medium sized software house in the aero-space industry. Assisting the organisation in the development of a reward strategy. Recommending and implementing changes to further encourage a culture of high performance, including introducing a broader grading structure, performance ranking, salary ranges, salary increase matrices and market and performance driven salary admin processes

Julie Rees

Julie Rees has over fourteen years experience in UK and international human resource management. During this time she has specialised in compensation and benefits/ rewards, policy writing, employment law, employee communications, recruitment, and relocation management. Julie's career began in generalist human resources, initially at Mobil North Sea Oil Ltd. and then at Hewlett-Packard Ltd. During her time at Hewlett-Packard Julie became a key member of the European HR management team. Since leaving in 2003 Julie has been working as a human resource and reward consultant with CompBen HR as well as becoming actively involved with local charities. Julie brings an international perspective to CompBen HR as she is recently returned to the UK after a period of living and working in the US and Singapore. Projects which Julie has managed include: designing and implementing a grading structure based on competency based job families writing employment contracts writing European & UK human resources policies and establishing the corresponding procedures designing and implementing a human resource "help-desk' facility actively involved in the introduction of ‘e-human resources' creating and running assessment centres

Karen Manby

Karen Manby has over 15 years experience in commercial business at a senior international level. In addition to working as an associate of CompBen HR Karen continues to run her own freelance HR consultancy established 2001. Prior to this Karen was VP Human Resources of Pegasus Solutions Inc, following her time as International Remuneration Manager for Forte Plc. Karen works with organizations providing professional research, advisory and development services to resolve both strategic and tactical employee issues. In recent months she has undertaken a broad range of assignments for both small and large organizations including: Analysis and recommendation of premier location for a multilingual call centre Research and recommendations on labour availability and costs for expanding businesses Industry research and recommendations on company car policies in the light of taxation changes Serving as a trustee for a defined benefit pension plan Advice on positioning and implementation of balance scorecard bonus programme across an international sales organization Implementation of employee consultation process

Mike White

Since founding his own successful management consultancy practice, Working With People, in 1990, Mike has advised and assisted many organisations on their journey towards the Investors in People National Standard. As a senior management consultant, coach and mentor Mike has worked with a particularly wide range of businesses and organisations in the public and private sectors, from fledgling organisations to some of the UK's most well known names. Mike's early engineering and project management experience was gained with London Transport. He has since headed up Personnel and Training for Renault UK, and the Government of Bermuda's Personnel Services Department. Mike White is Director of the Oxford School of Coaching and Mentoring, an 'Investors in People' Accredited Advisor and Assessor and advisor and associate to CompBen HR.
