MATHIEU N'KATTA - CEO, COO, Managing Director

Mr Mathieu N'katta is a member of the Alumni for Master of Science in Actuarial and Risk Management from Institut National Polytechnique Felix Houphouet Boigny. He holds an International Certificate in Business and Corporate Strategy from HEC Paris, a Certificate of Entrepreneurship, Management and Business Administration with SCI Education USA. He recently obtained a Global Executive MBA from IFG Executive Education, a Master Degree in Economy, Management and Business Administration from University I Pantheon Paris Sorbonne, and a MBA from IAE Paris. Mr Mathieu N'katta is currently the vice President of the Ivorian network of Risk and Insurance Managers. He once occupied the position of Head of Technical Department, SUNU Assurances Cote d'Ivoire P&C, and Regional Expert Insurance Risk Manager, for JA DELMAS/ Caterpillar Dealer, in charge of 11 countries in West Africa. Mr Mathieu N'katta previously held the position of the MD/CEO SUNU Assurances Liberia. He was recently appointed as a Board Member of SUNU Assurances Liberia, SUNU Health Nigeria, Equity Resort Hotel and EA Capital Management. 

MR. ADELEKE HASSAN ACII

ADELEKE HASSAN ACII (Lond), ACIIN, MBA ED, Technical and Operations Mr. Hassan is a Chartered Insurer of over 20 years' experience' in Underwriting, Claims Administration, Marketing and General Insurance, Marine and Aviation and Oil and Gas Insurance Business. He became an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London in 1992 and was elected a member of Society of Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London in 1996. He is an Associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria. He started his Insurance career with Ark Insurance Brokers Limited in 1983 before joining Hogg Robinson Nigeria Limited a reputable Insurance Brokerage firm where he rose to the post of Senior Manager, Special Risks Division in 1995. He joined Global Commerce and General Assurance Limited (GCG) as an Assistant General Manager (Marketing and Business Development) from where he joined SUNU Assurances Nigeria Plc in 2003. Leke has attended several courses/seminars locally and internationally.

Mr. KARIM-FRANCK DIONE

Mr. Karim-Franck Dione is a Business Professional with over 13 years work experience in Canada and France. He holds a B.Sc in Computer Science and Business Administration from Collége LAURENDEAU and HEC Montréal (Canada) respectively. Mr. Mohamed Bah - Managing Director

Mr. Mohamed Bah is currently the Managing Director, Sunu Services in Cote D'Ivoire and a director in 18 subsidiaries of the Sunu Group in Africa. With over 25 years of work experience. He had served as Managing Director and Deputy Managing Director of AXA VIE, Abidjan, Cote D'Ivoire. He holds an MBA from HEC, Paris, a Master's Degree in Mathematics from Universitè d'Amiens in France and a Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science from Universitè Laval, Canada. He also studied Financial Planning and Portfolio Management at The Canadian Securities Institute. Mr. Bah was the Actuary in charge of the control of 8 AXA subsidiaries in Africa (AXA Zone Afrique). Prior to his experience in AXA, he worked as an Actuary in Union Africaine VIE, Abidjan, Cote'D'Ivoire and was a Mathematics Teacher in Creil, Bresles, Chantilly, France. Mr. Bah was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Equity Assurance Plc in 2016.

Mr. Philippe E. Ayivor

Mr. Philippe E. Ayivor is an experienced leader and strategist with over 33 years work experience in Africa and the USA. He holds a Master's Degree in Accountancy from Virginia Tech, USA and a B.A in Economics & Sociology from Duke University, USA. Mr. Philippe E. Ayivor held various senior managerial positions in the Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) in the US and Africa, and led TCCC business operations in the Great Lakes region and across nine countries in West Africa in establishing and successfully achieving sales volume, profit, product quality, people capability development and sustainable corporate citizenship objectives. He is currently providing strategic direction to the senior management teams of The Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Ghana; UT Group, Ghana; United Way, Ghana, and various philanthropic organizations. Prior to TCCC, he had worked in Anderson Consulting, Houston, Texas up to the level of Senior Consultant and was the President, American Chamber of Commerce, Ghana, from 2011 to 2015. Mr. Philippe E. Ayivor was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Equity Assurance Plc in 2016.

Mr. SAMUEL O. OGBODU - CEO, Managing Director

Mr. Samuel Ogbodu is a Chartered Insurer and a member of the Society of Fellows of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria. A highly seasoned professional with a track record of success for surpassing revenue, cost, profit and business growth objectives with extensive experience in management of Insurance Company. He started his career at Nigerian Life and Pension Consultants and later joined Law Union and Rock Insurance Plc in 1987 as Senior Manager, Head of Special risk department. He was part of the team that set up Sovereign Trust Plc's operation in 1994. He contributed immensely to the growth and development of the company and by dint of hard work, commitment and resilience, rose to the position of ED/COO. Mr. Samuel Ogbodu had in the past chaired various management project committees like the product development committee, Head office building committee and Assets and liability Committee etc. Mr. Ogbodu has special skills in Turnaround Management and projects with 100% success rate. He is an alumnus of Lagos State University, Lagos Business School, and University of Lagos, Akoka. Mrs Taiwo Olubunmi Kuku - Secretary

Taiwo Kuku is currently the Company Secretary/ Head, Legal services of SUNU Assurances Nigeria Plc. Taiwo Olubunmi Kuku is a law graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University (formerly Ogun State University) 2002 and was subsequently called to the Nigerian Bar in 2003. She is a Member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) and the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators of Nigeria (NICArb). She has professional certification in Insurance (CII) and is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA). She started her legal career with Kunle Kalejaiye and Co. in the year 2003 and thereafter proceeded to First Assurance Plc where she garnered her Technical experience in the business of Insurance. Mrs. Taiwo Kuku joined the services of SUNU Assurances Nigeria Plc in the year 2007 and has worked meritoriously within Company Secretariat, legal and Compliance department where she rose to become the Company Secretary/Head, Legal. Taiwo is a seasoned legal practitioner with over 18 years of cognate experience spanning Company Secretarial practices, litigation, Corporate Governance practices, legal audit and due diligence, Compliance and General Legal Practice.
