I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1979 and am now a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA) . After qualifying I joined Robson Rhodes, a 1000 strong accounting and advisory practice which merged with Grant Thornton in 2007.
