Chris has an interest in connecting people with the natural environment through biophilic design and exploring ways to improve biodiversity within architecture, coupled with his expertise in combining textures, materiality and colour to create distinct atmosphere. His interest in sustainability has led to the design of Twenty3 - the first BREEAM Excellent workplace refurbishment in Southampton and 4 Hardman Square - a BREEAM Excellent and NABERS office refurbishment incorporating a new extension and roof top garden in Manchester's Spinningfields district. He is currently working on masterplanning schemes including a 30 acre site in Gloucestershire and the sensitive refurbishment of 5 neglected Georgian town houses into boutique offices in Holborn, London. Chris joined Spratley & Partners in 2009. He became a Director in 2019, promotes technological innovation within the practice, and established and leads our Bristol studio.

Gregg has a particular interest in conservation and heritage projects and is currently working on the refurbishment and extension of Crowhurst Place, a Grade I listed c.15th medieval hall house, and the total restoration and reconfiguration of Grade II* listed Byfleet Manor, including a bold contemporary extension. He was responsible for the delivery of the RIBA award-winning Ruskin School of Art - an innovative new building for the University of Oxford, and leads our team on best practice in detailed design and project delivery. Gregg joined Spratley & Partners in 2014, is a co-founder of The Oxford BIM Hub and became a Director of S&P in 2022.

An experienced architect, Jeremy works across our sectors having led projects at The Ruskin School of Art, Oxford Airport, Beechwood - a contemporary, new-build private residence in the Chilterns AONB - and South 60 - a newbuild commercial office. Jeremy also worked on Field House, a new-build residential project in the Cookham Greenbelt, and internationally acclaimed Heckfield Place, a five-star luxury hotel and spa in Hampshire. Jeremy continues to help shape the practice alongside the senior management team, overseeing all functions of the business.

Robert has a keen interest in the re-use and refurbishment of Workplace buildings, and the design of technically challenging projects. This along with his background and experience in Residential re-use allows him to advise clients such as the historic Phillimore Estate on their varied portfolio of buildings in London and Oxfordshire. Robert has led projects for M&G, Columbia Threadneedle and McKay Securities, including the sensitive redevelopment and refurbishment of Grade I listed 21 St. James's Square, London. He joined S&P in 2007, and became an Equity Holder in 2021. Robert leads our team training with recent focus on fire safety, health and safety, and sustainability.

Sam's interest is in the re-use and restoration of existing buildings giving them a new life with modern design and technological intervention. Craft, detail and a considered approach to materiality underpin his work and he particularly enjoys the challenges of working on sensitive buildings or complex sites. Sam has led commercial projects for major real estate funds and organisations leading innovation such as CBRE and Columbia Threadneedle. Recent projects include the refurbishment of a 92,000 sq.ft HQ building for ARC Uxbridge which is set to offer the science and innovation community exceptional lab-ready commercial space, and The Hive at Croxley, a now vibrant community of businesses and amenities. Sam also specialises in Sport & Wellbeing having worked on numerous projects including HSOBC Boathouse an elite rowing facility with sustainability and ecology at its heart. Sam joined S&P in 2006 and become an equity holder in 2021. He heads up the QA and ISO team and continually works to improve standards within the practice.

Sarah has extensive experience working with public buildings and heritage sites to reinvigorate and creatively adapt them in a sensitive and subtle way, problem-solving the respectful integration of contemporary design with traditional architecture. This experience, and her interest in creating high quality spaces for the comfort and enjoyment of many, has led to the success of internationally acclaimed Heckfield Place in Hampshire - the sustainable transformation of a Grade II Listed Georgian country house and the wider estate, cottages and biodynamic farm - and the regeneration of Hurley House, a destination boutique hotel and restaurant in Berkshire. Currently, Sarah is working on the restoration of a Grade II* listed Surrey manor house of national importance, returning it to a single-family residence with the addition of a bold contemporary wing. She joined Spratley & Partners in 2008 after working at Hopkins Architects, and became a Director in 2015. Sarah is interested in our team and culture and manages staff development, apprentice mentoring and the promotion of flexible working.

Leading primarily Workplace, Research, Estates & Masterplanning sectors his recent projects include the award winning new-build HQ and manufacturing facility for British watchmaker Bremont, lab enabled space at the Oxford Innovation Park and Manser medal shortlisted project Hill View. Stephen joined Spratley & Partners in 2007. He was a member of the RIBA award winning team for the Ruskin School of Art, became a Director in 2015 and equity holder in 2021, and oversees the management and development of the practice.
