The Central Ohio AGC has served the commercial construction industry throughout 14 Central Ohio counties since 1937. Its membership is comprised of both union and open shop general contractors, subcontractors, and service providers. The association represents over 300 contractors through its membership and Construction Advancement Program.

E. Grant Hesser

Hesser, a Lifetime Director of AGC of America and one of the founders of the American Council on Construction Education, was a strong advocate of companies working together. Hesser, who at the time was employed by the Charles V. Maescher and Co., founded in 1893, was actively involved with Allied Construction Industries in Cincinnati (the first AGC chapter in Ohio).

AGC of Akron serves general contractors and construction managers in the Akron/Canton region. The latest addition to the Association is a not-for-profit subsidiary called, "Operation Open Doors". Operation Open Doors has been set up to offer handicap accessible remodeling for permanently disabled veterans, fire fighters, and police officers in our area. Through the generosity of their membership, AGC of Akron helps those who protect our freedom and families.

Allied Construction Industries (ACI) is a not-for-profit trade association serving the Cincinnati region's commercial construction industry. With 500+ members who employ over 25,000 people, ACI is focused on delivering workforce solutions that solve talent challenges, engaging in industry advocacy that removes obstacles and creates a climate of growth, and providing networking opportunities where meaningful connections can be made. Established in 1929, ACI's membership includes both union and open shop employers who are general contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, developers, material suppliers, and service providers to the commercial construction industry. ACI serves as an umbrella organization to twelve partnership associations and is also the Cincinnati Division of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Ohio.

The AGC of Northwest Ohio and the Construction Contractors Council is a full service trade association for commercial and industrial contractors. The AGC negotiates and administers 15 labor contracts in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan, provides direct oversight to multiple apprenticeship programs, and administers numerous labor/management cooperation committees. From labor relations to safety and political advocacy, the AGC of NW Ohio is committed to the needs of its members and the industry as a whole.

The Builders Association represents approximately 150 employers in all types of construction and allied fields. Its members are the major employers of approximately 7,000 building tradesmen in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties in Ohio and in Lawrence and Mercer Counties in Pennsylvania. Created in 1970, the association negotiates 17 building trade agreements, and offers numerous other services to its members. The Builders Association houses the Youngstown Division, AGC.

Its membership is comprised of the top general and specialty contractors in 15 counties around the Dayton/Lima area.
