Bobby McKeown, originally from Philadelphia, joined the Nashville music scene in 2001. A versatile drummer he has performed and recorded in most genres of music from Rock, Alternative, Blues, Jazz, R & B, Metal, World, Pop, Alternative Country, and Swing/Big Band... Bobby started playing professionally in the Philadelphia area at the age of seventeen, and was an often seen drummer in the Philadelphia area music scene throughout the 1980's and 1990's, where he was also involved in songwriting and arrangement. In addtion to studying music for a time in college, he has also studied under Bernard Purdie (James Brown / Aretha Franklin / Miles Davis/ BB King / Steeley Dan), Tony DeNicola (Harry James), and Joe Cusatis (Peter Nero). An early band he played with was Youth Camp (1983-1985) with Joey Wilson (Modern Records), John Kuzma (The Hooters), and Rob Miller (Robert Hazard). He later played with Dr. Bombay (1986-1991), an alternative rock band.
