Brent Augustine - Founder, President

Mr. Augustine has 14 years' experience in the medical device industry, working primarily in strategic and creative marketing, sales, and general management. He founded and became President of HotDog USA, LLC (HDUSA) in 2008 to launch the HotDog patient warming product line in the US market. He became President of ASI in July 2010. He was instrumental in establishing the company infrastructure, distribution networks, and sales and marketing strategies. Mr. Augustine graduated with a BS in Business Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and studied at the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. Mr. Augustine is a member of the Board of Directors.

Garrett Augustine

After graduating from Harvard College, Mr. Augustine managed ASI Sales in the Northeast Region for four years, consistently winning top sales honors. In 2015, Mr. Augustine assumed the job of V.P. of R&D where he has successfully released WaffleGrip, Clinician Warming products, several product improvements, championed the integrated complimentary product suite, and moved the Company's many development projects forward. Mr. Augustine is a member of the Board of Directors.

J. Randall Benham

Mr. Benham was awarded a juris doctorate from Hamline University School of Law in 1981. As a litigation partner in the Intellectual Property Department in the Minneapolis office of Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly, he specialized in patent, trademark and copyright counseling and litigation, as well as unfair competition and other business torts. In 1998 he joined Augustine Medical, Inc. (now Arizant, Inc.) as general counsel, handling general corporate law as well as litigation. He has been with the Company since its inception in 2005.

James D. Fonger

James D. Fonger MD is a cardiothoracic surgeon who was born in Winnipeg, Canada where he did his undergraduate and medical school training. He then completed general surgery in Toronto and cardiac surgical training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. After several years in academics at Boston University and Johns Hopkins Hospital he then transitioned to private practice in Washington DC and Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC. He now focuses on medical technology development that improves cardiac care and patient safety. He has been involved in medical device invention and development throughout his career with his device startups exiting to larger strategic companies. He has also consulted with hospital systems on the modernization of their cardiac surgical programs and the development of medical technology innovation centers. This included helping build T3 Labs in Atlanta, GA and develop the Jacob's Institute in Buffalo, NY. He now has a part time vascular practice in Atlanta and has founded a company called CardioScout Innovations Inc. for the minimally invasive treatment of advanced heart failure. Most recently he has joined the Board of Augustine Surgical in Minneapolis, MN where he will be helping with the development of future patient safety technologies for the operating room.

Mark A. Kravik

Mark A. Kravik is a retired entrepreneur and lean manufacturing expert. He is the former owner and CEO of Northwire, an Osceola, Wisconsin company founded in 1972 by his father. Northwire is a supplier of custom cables and wire harnesses. Mr. Kravik took over as CEO in 1984, leading the second generation for over 30 years, revolutionizing the industry by establishing benchmarks for the shortest lead times, unmatched quality and service excellence. Mr. Kravik sold Northwire in 2009 to his daughter, Katina Kravik, and remained as Chairman of the Board. Mr. Kravik also owned Bending Branches, a manufacturer of high-quality canoe and paddleboard paddles from wood and carbon fiber materials. Mark lives in Osceola with his wife Debbie and remains heavily involved in many philanthropic initiatives.

Paul Molloy

Mr. Molloy is a serial entrepreneur and medical device industry veteran with twenty-five years' experience of leading public, private and VC-funded healthcare companies. He is currently the CEO of Clearflow Inc. He has served on the Board and Audit Committee at CAS Medical (NASDAQ, CASM) prior to its acquisition by Edwards and on the Board at Revolutionary Medical Devices prior to its acquisition by Vyair. He currently serves on the Board at Inscope Inc. and is an advisor to several Silicon Valley technology firms. Previously, he was a Board member at MiCardia, LMA and VasoNova. Before joining ClearFlow, Paul was CEO at VasoNova Inc., a Silicon Valley based, venture-funded vascular navigation company acquired by Teleflex Inc. (NYSE, TFX), in January 2011. Following the acquisition, he was appointed President of Teleflex' largest division - ARROW Vascular - having full P&L responsibilities for direct sales, US and overseas manufacturing plants, R&D and strategic planning at corporate level. Under his tenure VasoNova was successfully integrated under the ARROW Vascular brand. Prior to VasoNova, Paul was President and Managing Director of LMA, overseeing all European and Asian subsidiaries. Paul took LMA public in 2005 and later brokered its acquisition by Teleflex in 2012. Paul started his career as a practicing CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) at Medical University Alkmaar in the Netherlands. In 1989 he joined Datascope Corp. where he progressed through successive sales and marketing roles with growing responsibilities. He has extensive global industry connections and is well-versed in setting up and managing international operations. He has traveled, lived and worked in Europe, Asia and the USA and is fluent in German, Dutch and English. Paul holds an MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.

Robert A. Stevens

Mr. Stevens has been in health care administration for 41 years, including hospital CEO with Allina Health and for 21 years CEO of Ridgeview Medical Center. Stevens retired from that position January 1, 2018. During his career he was recognized for advising and mentoring early stage health care companies and adopting innovative service delivery models, including the first freestanding Emergency Department in the Midwest. He has served on numerous boards including, Bloom Health, AHA Region 6, Institute for Clinical System Improvement, CreateHealth, Inc., City of New Ulm City Council and the Minnesota College of Osteopathic Medicine. He currently serves on the boards of Charter Bank, Gravie, Inc., and the Lost Lake Association. Stevens has his Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota where he has been recognized for his contributions to the field of health care administration.

Scott Augustine - CEO, Founder

Dr. Augustine is an Anesthesiologist by training and a lifelong tinkerer, always looking for ways to improve things. Dr. Augustine previously founded Augustine Medical, Inc. (now known as Arizant, Inc.) in 1987 and served as its CEO, Chairman and Chief Technology Officer until he left the company in 2002. While at Augustine Medical, Dr. Augustine and his team successfully developed many new medical devices, including Bair Hugger®, the market leading patient temperature management product worldwide, and Ranger®, the market leading patient fluid warming product in the US. Dr. Augustine earned his MD degree at the University of Minnesota and was trained in anesthesiology in the US Navy. Dr. Augustine also did Fellowship training in Intensive Care Medicine at Stanford University and Cardiac Anesthesiology at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Augustine has been awarded approximately 190 US patents and was named the 2002 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the Medical Technology and Life Sciences category. Dr. Augustine won the 2011 "Outstanding Alumnus Achievement Award" from his alma mater, the University of Minnesota. Dr. Augustine is Chairman of the Board of Directors for Augustine Surgical Inc.

Shawn Perry

Mr. Perry brings nearly 20 years of Sales Management, leadership and training experience in the medical device and pharmaceutical industry. Prior to working with Augustine, Mr. Perry served as the VP of Business Development engaging with medical device, pharmaceutical and clinical resource organizations at Legacy Health Strategies, National Sales Director at Minimally Invasive Devices and Associate Sales Director at Medafor which he was instrumental in driving sales from 5 million to 50 million prior to the $260 million CR Bard acquisition in August of 2013. He also served in the United States Navy Reserve as a Field Medic with the 4th Marine Division for 11 years. Mr. Perry attended undergrad at Eastern Washington University and graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Susan Augustine - Founder

Susan is an RN with extensive experience in pediatric intensive care. She had 15 years of medical device field sales experience while helping to grow the Bair Hugger product line to $75MM at Augustine Medical Inc. For the past 10 years she has worked in marketing and inside sales at ATM/ASI. She earned her BSN from the University of Minnesota.
