BALBOA TENNIS

Located in the north-eastern corner of historic Balboa Park, BTC is the best spot for tennis lovers. We are a patch of concrete in a 1,200-acre vibrant landscape, filled with gardens, canyons and hiking trails... Our professional staff and outgoing members make playing tennis here a great experience. If you are a tennis player or you are thinking of becoming one, just come to BTC and hit some tennis balls with us. The staff at the Reservations Desk will explain the options of playing tennis at one of America's best public tennis facilities... 1939. The Balboa Tennis Club becomes a public, nonprofit corporation to "foster and develop the game of tennis in San Diego…and to encourage competitive play with other clubs of this and other communities." The club flourishes for many years at its' original location and helps young players in developing their games.
