George Smilas

Michael Bennett

Michael Bennett began his career as a surveyor, quickly moving up to become the Vice-President/Chief of Production at a large consulting engineering firm. His projects included property line and topographic surveys, urban renewal projects, subdivisions and PUD layouts. Michael Bennett holds an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Civil Technology from Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, New York, as well as a certificate in surveying and mapping from the International Correspondence School in Scranton, PA. Professional memberships include the Connecticut Association of Land Surveyors, Inc., the National Society of Professional Surveyors, the Builders and Remodelers Association of Eastern Connecticut, the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Connecticut, Inc., the National Association of Home Builders and the Connecticut Developers Council. In addition to his professional work, Michael Bennett is an active member of the Board of Directors for Thames River Family Program and Martin House in Norwich, Connecticut.
