CARLANSTOWN NS

Carlanstown NS is a mixed primary school situated in the centre of Carlanstown village, near Kells in Co. Meath. At present we have 160 students enrolled in our school. We have a teaching staff of 10 including our special education teachers.We have three Special Needs Assistants (SNA) supporting our mainstream classrooms and four SNAs in our Early Intervention Classes. Our principal Sarah Curran is an administrative principal and our Deputy Principal is Colleen Garvey. Our facilities include eight classrooms, a special education rooms, sensory room, P.E. hall, basketball court & football pitch... In February 2022 we received the fantastic news that we were granted an extension by the Department of Education. Our extension will comprise of two Early Intervention rooms, a SEN base and all associated works and three classrooms to replace the prefabs that are currently on site. We are currently in the process of appointing a Design Team and hopefully we won't have to wait too long to get..
