Jordan Cotton has been in the cotton ginning business since 1896. It was formed by J.T. Jordan and his son Hoyt under the name J.T. Jordan & Son. Hoyt's two sons, George and Tom later joined and managed the business. The Jordan's operated two gins in the Bomar community of Cherokee County during the 104 years that they were in business before the founding of Cherokee Gin and Cotton Co. George's daughter, Freida McMichen, and grand-daughter Mindy Bruce, now manage the business.
Cherokee Gin and Cotton Co. provides the highest quality ginning services at the lowest possible cost to the producer. It is our honor and privilege to serve the excellent cotton producers of Northeast Alabama and Northwest Georgia.
