Andrew Shaw

This is Andrew's fifth season as a member of the Chiefs' coaching staff. He is responsible for developing the team's defensemen and running the penalty kill. Both Andrew and his wife, Kaitlyn, grew up in Chilliwack and recently welcomed their first child. Prior to joining the Chiefs, he studied at the University of Victoria and spent time playing junior hockey in the SJHL and KIJHL. Andrew got his start coaching in Chilliwack Minor Hockey in 2018 and remains heavily involved in developing young players from the Fraser Valley.

Barry Douglas

With over 25 years experience in media and junior hockey, Barry Douglas leads the Chilliwack Chiefs' marketing and sales and oversees the front office. A volunteer coach for Chilliwack Minor Baseball, founding board member for the Chilliwack Sports Hall of Fame, and part owner of Champagne & Lace, Barry is well-known for his service to the league and the community. Barry has been honoured with multiple Marketer of the Year Awards. As well as a Chilliwack Sport Community Hero in 2017 and in 2018 the Rotary Club of Chilliwack - Mt. Cheam named him an honourary Paul Harris Fellow. When he's not in the rink or on the field, Barry enjoys golfing, and spending time with his partner Robynn along with their children, grandchildren, and goldendoodle Scarlett.

Brian Gillespie

Brian Gillespie serves as the Chilliwack Chiefs Assistant Trainer. Gillespie is an extremely respected member of the Chilliwack sports community as a co-owner of Cheam Source for Sports. Known in the community for his generosity, he also is extremely active with Chilliwack Minor Hockey and Chilliwack Minor Baseball. When not at a sporting event, Gillespie loves to spend time with his wife Stephanie and son Cohen.

Brian Maloney

The 2023-2024 season is Brian's eight as a member of the Chiefs coaching staff. He spent two seasons as an assistant coach before taking over as full-time Associate Head Coach and Associate General Manager. On May 3, 2018 he was named Head Coach and General Manager. Brian spent a season and a half in a Chiefs uniform after joining the team on January 10, 1997. In 87 regular season games with the Chiefs, he scored 44 goals and added 87 assists. In his final season, he served as the team's captain and led the Chiefs to their second appearance the BCHL Final, where they fell in five games to the Vernon Vipers. After accepting a four-year scholarship to Michigan State University, Maloney played pro hockey in various locations for 11 seasons, including stops in the American Hockey League with Binghamton and Chicago. He retired as a player after the 2013-14 season, his seventh in Germany.

Cole Marton

Eric Williams

Eric Williams is the current goalie consultant for the Chilliwack Chiefs. He also goalie coaches for multiple programs in the CSSHL and BCEHL as the top development leagues in BC as well as leads the BC division of Assertion Goaltending Consultants. Eric has been a full time goalie coach for the last 7 years and continues to work at all levels of the game building through grass root development in numerous local minor hockey associations. Before his coaching career, Eric played in the WHL for 4 years splitting time between the Prince Albert Raiders and Spokane Chiefs. Eric played a brief period in the ECHL with the Colorado Eagles before finishing his playing career at the University of British Columbia.

Jamie Jackson

Job Titles:
  • Director of Player Development
Jamie Jackson joins the Chilliwack Chiefs for the 2023-24 season with an extensive coaching resume. After years in the PJHL and the BCEHL, the Langley product joined the Coquitlam Express as an Assistant coach in 2018. Jackson has also served as Head Coach for Team BC at the WHL Cup in 2019 and 2021. In 2019, the team would earn a Bronze Medal, and in 2021 would win Gold. Jackson was also awarded the Development Award in 2019. He also has spent time with the Cowichan Valley Capitals and Edmonton Oil Kings organizations.

Kaylea Burt
